She padded quietly through the moor, pondering what she planned to undertake today. She’d already informed Gwenevere of her plans, and it was nigh time this got underway. The pups were definitely old enough to begin training in sentry work, and today was rather clear, with good – if frosty – weather.
She slowed to a stop and howled for the whole litter, as well as the fighting inclined and keen-eyed members of the pack. Her haunches lowered to the ground as she waited, surrounded by the standing stones, ears swiveling as she listened for the approach of the pack members.
Today would be a lesson in watching for movement beyond the wall. The role of the adults she’d called would be to give the children practice in spotting possible intruders and learning what to do in the event of a stranger coming to the wall and not calling for the alphas.
Walk ---- "Speak" ---- "Hear" ---- Think |
At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.
Her ears caught the sound of Aurielle's howl, and for a moment she debated whether she should continue her patrol or help with the training for the pups. Since she'd been patrolling for a few hours already, she decided it was good enough for her to take a break for the training, so she turned and headed toward the stones. She dropped the two hares at her den, where either the pups would have something to devour when training was over and they'd undoubtedly be hungry, or she could skin and preserve them for later.
When she finally made her way to the stone circle it was to find that she was the first other than Aurielle to get there, though that wasn't terribly surprising since she hadn't been all that far to begin with. She gave the younger wolf a quick, supportive smile, then moved somewhat out of sight to lean against one of the huge stones so she wouldn't be where the pups could see her, minimizing their distractions.
Trotting up to the stones, he saw only Aurielle, the alpha. He swiveled head and ears, looking for any of his siblings, but he'd managed to be the first one there this time. He hesitated, wanting to ask what the call was for, but he knew that he'd likely only be told to wait for his siblings so that she wouldn't have to repeat herself more than once, so rather than ask a question that wouldn't be answered anyway, he sat and gave the alpha a somewhat stiff nod. It wasn't as though he'd miss training regardless of what it was anyway, so it didn't really matter what they were being called to learn. He could wait.
