The Best Way To The Bottom Is The Worst Way To The Top

Philomena was feeling miserable… she had tracked her quarry out this far but had lost it… a deer that had been wounded but alas it seemed to have given the woman the slip in the poor weather. Mentally Philly cursed. As if the weather responded to her mood thunder boomed and rain began to drizzle from the heavens once more. She was soaked to the bone and was certain she was going to catch a cold at this rate. She shivered, glaring up at the sky with a scowl on her face. The Gods seemed to be in an odd humor today…
“Damn it all…” The female pushed deeper into the steep as her blue gaze trailed over the ruins. They were weathered, worn down by countless rain storms no doubt. Philomena approached them curiously. What once stood here, she wondered? She lifted a paw and placed it on the smooth stone curiously, ears flicking back against her skull. She got an odd feeling from it…
The rain began to fall even harder and Philly sneezed. “Stupid rain.” The female growled. She was definitely going to be sick… she just knew it!

When the rain began Valkyrie had thought nothing of it. She'd pressed on and would have been content to keep doing so had not the heavens seen fit to pelt her with beetle-sized droplets. Luckily for her she'd found a nice little nook to take refuge in and wait out the storm.
Valkyrie watched as first one wave of hard rain rolled in and then after a brief respite, another. She passed the time by carving a small stick with her claws. First both ends were sharpened and then she worked to peel the bark off it. The task was mindless but it kept her busy where otherwise she might have gone a bit stir crazy.
Finally nothing more could be done to the stick so she flicked to the side and began to look for another. It was then that she noted the tall, soggy stranger slogging through the rain. She regarded the woman curiously, her gave lingering on the stranger's strange locks, and then called out to her, "You look like you could use a respite, stranger. There's room in here if you'd like a break from the deluge."

This character has a noticeable Icelandic accent!
Valkyrie also has a female melanistic japanese macaque named Inga. Unless she's mentioned IC it's safe to assume she's not with her master.
It can be assumed that Valkyrie has a bear skull mask hanging from a strap around her neck at all times.
