ooc. keeping details of his entrance thread vague, liquid timing it to.. idk, the next day or so? Somehow, with a few rounds of water and small meals in him, it had been determined that the male would be safe enough to leave by himself for sort periods of time. Of course, they hadn't moved him too far from the stream. Dragging his raggedy corpse halfway across the territory to clean him up once every day or two seemed silly, after all. He was tucked away beneath one of the immense shrubs that grew amidst the impossibly tall grass, doing what his body desperately craved: napping. The ebony male had been sleeping like the dead for as long as he could. He was frequently woken by nightmares- that someone would come for him, that someone would kill him, or the twitching body of his master on the cavern floor. Between bouts of these horrors, he hardly roused. His hips were rolled to one side, allowing his bad leg to be stretched out as needed. The knee didn't work as well as it should, and the impossible trek had mostly locked it up tight. His atrophied muscles were thoroughly exhausted, and he wasn't about to argue with their demand to rest. Shaye had managed to get some alfalfa into him, along with a few other herbs, so he was on the mend. Narrow skull propped up on his crossed forepaws, the late autumn sunlight filtered down to dapple his battered features. Only his lower half was covered by the bush, leaving the rest of him out in the open. Probably so that the others could find him when it came time to force food to stay in his stomach. |
