Two turtle doves

Tornach didn't generally go far from his farm, but he had wandered southward towards the orchard to see about gathering any windfall fruits as treats for the motley assortment of prey animals he fed. His falcon flew high overhead, keeping a sharp eye out to warn him of potential dangers, but this far there had been little to trouble either of them. Piled on a hide he was dragging, Tornach already had a bounty of bruised apples from further down the orchard and a few rosehips that the birds had not already gotten. He paused beneath a pear tree to gather some fallen pears, when suddenly a racket in the tree above him made him jump and peer up into the branches to see a familiar sort of bird. Was that... a partridge in a pear tree? Blinking, he glanced at the other unlruned and disheveled pear trees around him to see if that was a common roost for partidges here, but no, it was just this one pear tree in particular that had a partridge in it. How odd!

The news of his father being an alpha now still struck him as a little strange. Granted he thought it was cool as fuck too, but what did that mean exactly? Would he have to give up his stuff and his den for his dads pack? Or could he keep that stuff and his den and fight anyone who dared try to take it from him? The thought of fighting someone else to keep his established domain was very appealing, and his imagination soon died away when he spotted something. Or rather...someone. Pale eyes stared at the stranger. He had never seen this wolf before, but then again he didn't get out much to have met anyone. He looked like he was collecting things, and Ares wanted to know who, what, when, where, and why.
Rolling his shoulders, he stood tall in all his lanky glory and sauntered towards the much older man. But as he got closer, he heard the odd sound of something he'd never heard before. He peered up into the same tree as the other man, head tilting every which way as he watched them and listened to them. "What are those?" He questioned to himself, though loud enough for the other man to hear (and hoped to get an answer).
