Ace decided now was a good time as any to take the fox Cubs out of pack lands and go on an adventure. He slowly lumbered across the bit of land that connected the main land to an island not far from the coast. The fox Cubs had been weaving around his legs, clearly excited about their adventure. They laughed and chased each other ahead of him, and he was content watching them as long as they didn't get too close to the waters edge. So far, they were being careful. But it only took one little distraction for them to wander that way. Luckily, they eventually made it to the island without any accidents. And once there, Ace simply followed them around as they bounded from place to place as they explored. speech action

Gavroche had found a stip of land that lead off the mainland to an island… and with Houdini hanging onto him the winged wolf had made his way to it. Currently he just a little ways into the island under one of the trees there, breathing with slow breaths as he watched Houdini. She was moving to and fro among the dried leaves searching for something she could nibble upon, as well as seeing if she couldn’t find anything useful herb wise. Thus far Gavroche hadn’t really been focusing on his herblore studies but… there would be time for that.

The rat shifted though, her ears twitching as the sound of fox yipping reached her ears. She ran over to Gavroche and scurried up his leg, chattering softly. “We’ve got company, Gav.”

The winged boy had heard them as well. He rose, sneaking out through the foliage until he could see them. He could see a large male too… he had to be the same size as his cousin Melanthios. His green gaze shown as he moved out into the open, wondering how this male and the fox cubs might respond to him.

The sand under his feet felt nice for a change. He had gotten quite used to the terrain in Abaven, the muddy banks of the river just didn't quite cut it. Likewise, the kits appeared to be enjoying themselves as they chased each other across the sand, even going as far as rolling around in it and doing the classic jumps that foxes often did. Sand sprayed everywhere. He could see it in their fur as they played, but as long as they didn't throw any in his face, he was fine with it. He would give them a bath later to get all the grit out. Gods knew they could use a bath! Content with the day so far, he wasn't aware that they had company lingering nearby. It wasn't until Finn and Lumi turned that way in their game of tag that they noticed it. Ace had turned his gaze to the horizon, but when he realized it had suddenly gotten a little too quiet for a minute, he looked up. "Finn? Lumi?" He looked around for a moment, not realizing they were several yards behind him. Feeling a sudden bout of panic, he frantically searched the beach for their tracks and upon realizing they didn't come this way, he whirled around. He quickly spotted them standing stock still, both of them staring at...what in the world? His own gaze grew wide when he spotted it. A calico colored wolf with...wings? He was dumbstruck. Never had he seen anything like that in his entire life before. He stood there and stared for a moment, just like the cubs. When he saw Finn take a step forward to curiously sniff at the creature, Ace managed to somewhat snap out of and began a careful approach. He wasn't afraid that the strange beast would harm the kits, oh no. He was just shocked at what he saw. speech action
