As ever elusive as she was, she never strayed too far from her brother. She had been periodically checking back into Boreas in search of all the traces that he would leave behind. He was a nomadic creature himself it seemed, though she noticed this time he was in the exact same spot she'd left him in. She smiled as she neared the borders of Kesali, realizing then that her brother had started his very own pack. Her wanderlust years were finally coming to a close, and she thought to herself now might be as good of a time as any to get settled into a new home. She really did miss her family, after all.

She skirted around the edge of the territory for a while, picking up scents of Ivy and other Wreckages. A smile played on her soft lips all the while, her heart beating steadily in her chest as she imagined their faces once she showed herself again. Would they be mad at her for going on her adventures? She certainly hoped not, as many with Wreckage blood seemed to be cursed with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. Across her travels, she had come across so many charming discoveries and set her eyes on a broad variety of aesthetic environments. She'd experienced many different kinds of storms, studied the climate differences of both of the continents. She felt far more valuable now with all the knowledge she had stored in her nogging than she ever would have had she simply remained in Boreas. She thought they would understand, though there was still a nervous kink in her gut when she thought of their reactions. Faith in their family cured all of her doubts, but she was certainly still nervous with excitement.

She lifted her nose from the ground, finishing her surveillance of who was in the territory, dainty paws shuffling to carry the piebald beauty away from Kesali for now. There were many wolves here that she didn't recognize, immune systems she was not familiar with. She was aware that her travels brought her into contact with many different germs and bacteria that some wolves here might not be familiar with, and she wanted to bring a gift for those in the pack to help protect them from what she might be bringing with her. She hummed on her way through the willows, stopping occasionally to dig at the ground and test its density. Even in winter, the soil here was loose and perfect for roots.. which made her smile in the light of her fortune.

As she left the denser part of the willow forest, she let her neck lower once again as her nose brushed the dirt on occasion just from how adamantly she was on picking up the scent of what she was looking for. This area was awash with many different kinds of roots and vegetables growing underground, but ginseng was far rarer than the lot of them. It would likely take her some time to find a sizable amount suitable for a whole pack, but she was determined. She really did not want to settle for Elderberry, as easy as that might be to find.. it was nowhere near as potent. She knew the closer she traveled to the coast, the less likely she would come across what she was looking for so she started to backtrack across the soil.

Claws created holes in the ground here and there as she started really digging into the territory, growing a bit more desperate to find a cluster of ginseng. She had usually stumbled upon it by chance and seized the opportunity of coming across such a rare find; actually searching for ginseng was much more work than she initially anticipated. Even in the chill of the winter air, she was beginning to pant with how much she was moving around. Dirt clung to her short white fur much to her dismay, but she told herself she could clean herself in a river as well as the roots once she found them. She just needed to find them.

Finally, she could smell the sweet and tangy scent of ginseng in the dirt she was uncovering. She cheered vocally as her silver eyes widened, a smile spreading across her features and lighting up her entire existence. She was joyous, animated with gratitude for her discovery and immediately her forepaws got to pulling back the earth to unveil her treasure. The dirt around the root was more compact than some other areas, really forcing her to put in her work but she did! And a few minutes later, her white nails scraped into the root she was after and released a scent so strong into the air that it made her sneeze. She giggled and became much more careful about uncovering this root, working with a much more gentle approach as she removed the majority of the soil away from it.

"Aha!" Once a sizable enough chunk for a pack was free, she cheered again and plucked it away from the Earth entirely. A muffled laugh escaped her as she skipped out of her hole and worked to refill what she had disturbed. If she needed more, she would remember this place. Her heart hammered in her chest as she raced to the stream that broke through the middle of the forest of willows. She took her time in the cold waters to carefully pick out all of the dirt in her fur and washed the roots to free them of as much dirt as possible.

Pleased with herself and what she had to supply the pack on her arrival, she neared the Kesali borders once again. Her fur was damp and she looked a little unkempt compared to usual, but she could not keep herself from grinning. Her tail wagged before she even set eyes on anyone, as she dropped the root and released her cheerful howl.

She was home.

Finally.

Ivy was less inclined to think that Branch's idea of settling down was a good one, but if pressed on the matter she supposed it had its perks. Despite her uptight demeanor, she truly had the heart of a wanderer - the nomadic lifestyle seemed to fit the Wreckage family best - but she wasn't about to question Branch's decision. No, not that she had started to settle into a more stagnant lifestyle herself, slowly growing accustomed to the lands he'd claimed for their family. That wouldn't stop her from occasionally grumbling about it to herself when nobody else was around, but Ivy wasn't the type to whine in front of anyone else, especially family, so she doubted anyone knew that she'd initially been questioning Branch's choices.

Despite her wariness, that didn't mean Ivy wasn't fully committed to the idea of Kesali. She'd already taken the initiative to travel to a pack nearby for a bit of an exchange, offering them a lesson on crafting in exchange for a lesson of their own. Beyond that, she was busying herself with becoming familiar with their new homelands, from the plains to the expanse of willow trees that lay to the east, and the river that bordered the northern edge of their lands. Today was was scouting the borders, wanting to make sure nothing was amiss, trying to see if any unfamiliar scents needed to be tended to. So far nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but as she was wandering she heard a familiar call cutting through the silence of the day.

Was that really Moon? Her head snapped up, interest painting itself across her features as she tried to recall how long it had been since she'd seen her sister. She had a restless, inventive spirit like Ivy did, so it wasn't a surprise that she hadn't followed Branch quite as quickly as the others had. Either way, she was happy to hear from her now, and she wasted no time in heading toward her call. Once her sister grew near, looking as though she'd just gone for a swim, a smile crept over her features. "About time you showed up," Ivy drawled, though there was an obvious fondness in her voice as she greeted her and looked her sister over. "Thought you could run from us forever, did you?" Jest was rarely heard in her voice, but her siblings earned an exception to that rule - and since Ivy wasn't the warm and fuzzy type, that was Ivy's version of a warm welcome.

He easily moved along the border letting his senses slip into alert as he searched for anything out of the ordinary. For wolf sign or any other predators that may be near the borders of his pack. He would even look for the sign of prey moving in and out of the territory. His patrol for today had been quiet which wasn't out of the normal. He was very hopeful that they wouldn't have problems, but he wanted to be sure it stayed that way.

He was pleased with how everything was going so far. Ivy had visited Abaven for a crafting lesson and one of Abaven members had come here to give his pack a lesson. It was the first of many hopeful lessons and bonding time and when spring hit he had ideas of how to bring the pack together for bonding. Being that not everyone here was family he wanted them all to feel equally comfortable being around one another. He didn't want them to feel like outcasts simply because they weren't blood related. He also wanted to hear what idea others had for gatherings as well as getting some more lessons going.

A familiar howl pulled him from his thoughts drawing his attention and quickly making his mood all the better. Another one of his siblings had arrived and he took off in a run wanting to greet her as quick as he could. When he arrived he was glad to see Ivy there already and as he walked up beside Ivy he attempted to lightly bump her shoulder with his nose before looking to Moon

"You made it!" he said with a big old grin on his face and his tail wagging happily.

The familiar pattern of Ivy's coat immediately filled her nostrils with the scent of her family out of nostalgia before her sister was even close enough for it to be scented realistically. Her tail was lost from sight, a blur in motion behind her as she smiled and let her crystal eyes wander over her sister's form. She was so strong compared to Moon's frail being, Moon was proud of her and already proud of Kesali for allowing such strength to rise.

Her sister's words made Moon's pale face spread into a smirk as she lowered her head and let the endearment of those words sink in. She knew her sister understood her wanderlust, her need to study and understand this world around her.. and she didn't doubt that her sister understood how much she loved them. She would never run away. Faith in her sister's understanding let her know that these words were sarcastic and stated with love, and Moon was a sponge just soaking up every ounce of it.

She heard heavy steps and her eyes picked up to find her brother walking toward them, immediately making her toes wriggle over the ginseng root beneath them as her whole body visibly shivered with excitement. A soft whine left her precious throat involuntarily as he finally made it shoulder to shoulder with Ivy.

'You made it!' Her ears twitched to the unfamiliarity of his voice, it was a lot deeper than she remembered. So much time had passed, hadn't it?

"Yes, and I am so happy to see you both!" She squealed in response.

He came forward to nose her and that was it, that was her breaking point- she could no longer contain herself and as her brother approached her she released a rumbling happy growl. Her hips lowered closer to the ground and allowed her to raise one of her forearms, nails raking through the fur of her brother's chest so she could grip it for balance and bring herself closer, her nose meeting his in a gentle nuzzle.

Her ears went back and her tail was kept low, it wasn't in her nature to be overly submissive but respect simply poured out of her when in the presence of her Wreckage family and she couldn't help herself. Pride radiated within her; love swelled her heart as it thumped rapidly within, so loud they could probably hear it. She gave a single lick to the chins of both of her siblings before she energetically sprinted back to her ginseng root.

"Though I might not be able to supply you much strength in muscle with my arrival, I have spent my time apart studying the lands of Boreas and what medicines it has to offer. This root I present to you is rare, though can be used in an herbal tea to boost our immune systems and protect us against disease, even those we are foreign to. I have brought it to share with your pack, as well as what I have learned and future studies... should you choose to welcome me." Her voice became softer with those last words, narrow muzzle dipping bashfully as she waited for his admission. She had pretty solid feeling her brother wouldn't turn her away, though she did not want to get ahead of herself. After all, she'd been gone for.. quite awhile.
