CADENCE DESTRUCTION
To say that Cadence was lost would be an understatement. She really had no idea where she was going. All she knew was one word. Abaven. However, it was terribly hard to find a pack when you only knew the name. A word didn't have a scent to follow, and there were no signs along her path. All she had was a name and a faint memory of some directions from her home to this mysterious pack. Of course she could search for Arpeggio's scent, try and find her sister that way, but that was almost like a needle in a haystack. At least a pack's land couldn't move around, couldn't lose its scent in the rain. And yet, she was deplorably lost. With a sign she moved on, trotting through some fields she vaguely remembered from her mother's stories. It had been a year since Harmony left her mate and Cadence behind, taking only Peggy to this mysterious land called Abaven. And it had been a year since word returned that her mother died shortly after arriving. Cadence felt the sorrow, the loss of losing her mother so young, but deep in her heart she knew it was time. And then- Wait a minute. Blue eyes widened slightly when she recognized a scent in the air. It was...was it?! Peggy! With a gasp she routed herself in her place, hoping she hadn't wandered too far into the pack if this was indeed their land. But it was here. Fresh, strong, a scent that had never left her memory. Tears sprang to her eyes as she became rather...nostalgic, the loneliness and despair of missing her lost sister rising as a lump in her throat. Without another thought she threw her head back, calling for her sister, for her family, for whoever she could call and meet and love. She was so so lonely, but maybe...maybe now she would have the large family her mother had always spoke of. "Burn Baby Burn" |

Peggy's route had taken her to the borders, and on impulse rather than orders she had taken up a patrol. Whenever she was actually back in pack lands that was her tendency. Take up a patrol on her own, or tidy the mess burrowing creatures had left of the substantial herb stores in Kassanders old den. There were extra FURS and hides there too, enough to comfortably furnish someone, but no one else ever went there so everything just sat unused.
She was thrown off balance when a sudden call cut through her musing that was simultaneously unfamiliar and one of the most familiar voices in the world, a voice she had grown up with but had grown up itself on the intervening seasons since she had last heard the sound of its younger self. Peggy gaped in disbelief a moment, before that disbelief turned to a pure ringing not. Bounding like a puppy she leaped to answer the call and, as she came upon her slightly darker, slightly smaller sibling, Arpeggio's voice called out in a yipping screech of welcome before she attempted to tackle Cadence.

Cadence was practically vibrating with excitement and anticipation, hoping that she wasnt wrong. It had to be her. It just had to be. Theres no way she could have been mistaken, could she? And the more she looked around the more she recognized this place as the place belonging to her mother's stories. This was it, this was Abaven. It was like her heart was singing in her excitement, her head a little light. She had made it. And then. Oh, then, there was Peggy. First she heard her running, then she heard her voice, and then she felt the solid weight of her taller sister tackling into her. A laugh, bright and happy, burst from Cadence's chest, and she began to cry as she shoved her face in her sisters fur. She wiggled and pressed against her, just enjoying the feel of her sibling, solid and alive and so so close. "Ive missed you" She giggled through her happy sobs, looking Peggy. She just couldnt believe it. After so long, and such a long trip, she had finally found her dear sister. "How are you! How have you been?! You look so healthy and big! All grown up." She giggled, unable to keep her excitement to herself. Finally! Finally, after so long.. "Burn Baby Burn" |
