It was a rather warm morning for the winter months, a lazy, outside the den sort of day. Laying on the top of her den, Stardust watched as a few cardinals and jays flitted in and out of the long grasses by the pond. Smiling as the little birds hunted for seeds and worms, hoping the warmth had brought them a temporary bounty to stave off the hunger for a while. Star was reminded of her own children as Eira was caught out of the corner of Star's eye stretching at the mouth of the den she shared with her family. Never would she have imagined that life could be any more perfect, and as she silently watched her daughter wake up for the day, there was pride in her eyes. "Good morning, love. Are the others waking up as well?" There was hope in her eyes that said she had plans for the day, though she wouldn't divulge the details just yet. Today would be wonderful, she would see to it.

He had been out on patrol, working early to get done in hopes of getting a good long rest day with his family. He didn't rush, because the male didn't want to miss something he had to do the job right. When he finished his rounds he casually headed back towards the family den. The pups were growing and would soon be a year old, time had flown by and Frost was beginning to realize how fast the kids were growing. They would need mentors and they would need to get familiar with skills. They would need to be able to settle into ranks when they were of age and they couldn't miss out on the key time to learn and continue to grow. Part of him didn't want it to be that time already, he wanted to wind time back to when they were little balls of fluff and depended full on him and Star.

When he got to the den he found Star relaxing outside, with Eira just emerging from the den. He moved forward towards Star and attempted to gently bump his nose into her neck to nuzzle her. He moved to sit beside her before a large yawn passed his lips. Soon after he sunk down to lay beside her looking towards Eira and the den.
