Winter Skill Prompt Year 12 -- Fighting

I used to rule the world.
Seas would rise when I gave the word.

Night soon came to drift its dreary blanket across the dusty scape, to wish its land dwellers a peaceful slumber and awaken its nocturnal beasts. Outward they were driven, extracted from the serenity that the light provided them and thrust into the lusting and hungry shadows. The Emperor had always preferred these darker hours, but more recently he had developed a taste for its crazed and unpredictable nature. Much like war one could never gander at the results, for each additional variable would twist the chance for a predictable outcome. No matter the temptation to drift into his bloodied dreams, there was still work to do, he knew fair well that prey within winter was scarce everywhere and he had to double his efforts if he wanted to keep his fat.

With luck he would not be required to travel far to sate his stomach desires. Coaxed into the dying light his massive frame became bathed in the curious mixture of silver and red, the battling colors of day and night. In seconds he found the prety he was looking for, a fat rabbit with an ashen winter coat adorning his soft, delicious tissues of skin underneath. His mouth salivated and he plunged forth without a second to lose. Time was precious and he did not want others to interfere and it was not long before the creature was hanging from his strong jaws, crimson liquid staying his chest due to the puncture points upon the prey throat. the beding gave to last breaths before his air ways completely shut down, his heart bumping the last of his vital liquid outside of his bodice as it hang lifeless. It was the law of the nature, the circle of life.

The herbivore body came a thud as the luciferian King dropped it to the ground, behemonth pad being placed upon his abdominal region in order to his skull to lean and have his jaws tear and rip apart the animal heart. It was a routine for him, to tear out internal organs in order to reach the liver, the real delicacy in his feast however in those particular instances, though more messy, he could not leave any scraps of food behind. Who knew when his last meal will be. Heavy was the scent of blood as it hang in the air, almost like a mist, a fog, something that could be cut by a knife if one had or attempted to. It was dangerous, not only did other predators lingered the area however others were hungry too and specially in Winter.

Loo and behold, it did not take long for another to arrive. Another wolf. His eyebrow arches in surprise as he expected to see a coyote rather than a mortal which clearly asked for trouble. He maintained his handsome facade as stoic and emotionless as ever and yet his elongated tail curled upon his spine, brilliance and dominance were ever present in his state, emmaning regality and strenght through his pore but that did not made the mortal back down. Fool. his masculine baritone escaped his murderous jaws. He was calm, not in any way aggressive as he strolled forward at an eased pace, but a simple saunter to most, a means to deplete distance and to maintain his opponnent in the fog of his true actions. But as he came to an intimate setting with the other obsidian brute his muzzle pivoted towards his right, aiming to formulate a grip about his opponnent's snout without any warning. With an attack such as this he hoped to secure the contender's main means of assault before he could offer any counter offense. His defenses, as ever, were prepared.

But the other male did not leave him that much opening after the bite was secure. He trashed and he turned., desperate to release himself. Each second that ticked by seemed to ring in his skull, the other male wassucceeding in making him irritable with impatience. His paws shuffled over the earth, the action of trashing himself in each direction and forcing the SUn God to follow only proving to make him even more impatient. Then obsidian male let out a low growl before ceasing his trashing and turning and barreling forward, his intent literally to use his hefty body weight to knock the luciferian kind off his feet however Ra was quick to re-plant his legs on the ground and spread them equally for ballance, though in such motion he was forced to release the grip on the obsidian opponnent, freeing him oh his canines. Ra quickly used his hind limbs to pivot his body around; he charged forward, jaws opening to aim a bite at the beast throat, hoping to use his opponent's smaller and slender body against him. And success washed over him as the bite was successful, puncturing two hole within the wolf throat, screaming and trashin in agony and pain; he knew he was going to die by his jaws but not before his claws managed to slash into the God right shoulder. Anger boiled within his veins and as soon as he registered the pain and the crimson liquid that dripped from his injury Ra snapped the wolf neck with a rapid twist of his jaws. Leaving it hang lifeless within his murderous jaws, just as the rabbit for him.

Another thud echoed through the region as the smaller but muscular body of the predator hit the ground at his paw. He was a man of routine after all and he considered this a blessing. It was normalcy for his blood to be known as one would refer to as cannials but there was so much more to it than it meant the eye. They considered it a true gift, a true blessing to consume the flesh of a opponnent, it offered them vitality, energy, as their soul was consumed at the same time as the flesh. And so he began his duty, saying a little prayer, not for the dead male but to his Gods above for bestowing such feast to him. He ate eagerly, crimson liquid spreading everywhere and who needs a rabbit when you have a wolf
