Theta stood in the sun with pride. She was able to walk on her own four paws, nothing could stop her now. She wasn't a mere pup anymore, she was her own wolfess with her own thoughts and ideas. One of these days she should go exploring outside of the packlands by herself. She didn't need anybody else there all they would do is slow her down and she didn't need that. But for the time being she was stuck here. Her parents had gone off somewhere and left her and her siblings here to do what? Nothing. Being a pup was boring she found, she was all too eager to grow up and have a body fitting of a queen. Not this short small one she had received.

Tythe stepped gingerly after his sister, magenta eyes wide as they scanned the woods surrounding the shrine with alertness. The young child didn't know where his mother was, or even his father for that matter, and there was an unease that began to grow in his belly. Sniffling, he took a few more steps after Theta before pausing and letting his ears fall against his greyish crown. "You're not supposed to go far from the den," he whispered to Theta, sitting down. "Mom and Dad aren't here and it could be a while before they get back." In the air, he could scent Eulogy, their caretaker for the time being, but the distinct scents of Leera and Tyranis were far from fresh. He sighed and glanced back to the den, wondeirng if any of their other siblings would wander out.

Beneath the frost, beneath the snow, beneath the cold bright sun, lay the snowman of yesterday. The frost was his winter jacket and the frigid air a salve for his crystalline skin. Around him the birds shivered under puffed wings and the nighttime flurry still trickled in its leisurely way to the ground. Snowman ideas tumbled from the grey puffed clouds, falling as softly as the large flakes. Today would be a fine igloo with snow guards. The young Lord grinned to the sub-zero air, I have snow-many ideas he muttered to himself before shaking his regalia with a low chuckle. It was pointless to mention that the young Lord was bored, with his Mother and Father gone for some time now and he decided to go into a small adventure of his own, lurking further away from their den. He would had played with the sunshine if he could have moulded it into projectiles, anything he could get his paws on to cause mischief was alright with him. So the winter snow was the best gift he could ever have. It was not long until he saw that Tythe and another had the same thought and this gave the petite lord an idea. All he had to do was sit as quietly as he could, snowballs at the ready and be patient.  After a minute or so, one that felt like an eon, he expectantly waited to hear the tell-tale crunch of his paws in the snow; for though it is fresh fallen, the bitterness of the night made the top like brittle caramel. As soon as the other peasants were close enough he dive out to pelt them white. Speech

Mother and father weren't around. He wasn't sure where they went, so he patiently waited. Even when his siblings started to wander out, he sat there with a disapproving look. They were gonna get in trouble, but not him. Nope. The golden child watched as two of his siblings stepped out, so eventually, the boy would step closer until he was just within the shadows of the den. He listened to his siblings for a moment before speaking. "Dad's the alpha, which means mom's the queen. They're probably out doing alpha stuff ya dummies!" Duh! It was so obvious, wasn't it? His gaze lingered on his siblings for a moment before movement behind them caught his eye. He stepped out of the den to get a closer look and he realized it was one of the other pups that wasn't any of his siblings. His gaze narrowed at him, wondering what he was up to. "Don't try anything sneaky or you'll be sorry!" He called out, his voice coloured with irritation.

It had been some time since hannibal had returned. She was working her tail off. What with both litters of pups needing her constant attention all the time. If it wasn't that she was scared of hannibal she would of already stuffed them all into the same den. Though maybe that would work. Couldn't hurt to give them all a big sleepover. First she'd have to make sure they all got along though. She stepped from Hannibal's den and with the intent to lead this litter to the other she'd have to find mordecai on the way. She silently lead the other two towards the kill pile first, intent on feeding them all together. She plucked a young fawn from the pile then moved slow enough for the other two to keep up. Then as she came close she spotted her runaway and rude charge. She walked directly past him with purpose. She ignored him with reason. The other five had yet to be completely rude, but she'd yet to stick close to them. She dropped the fawn and laid close enough to break up fights. She gave a tilt of her chin, calling mordecai to her silently. She knew her charge would likely ignore or disobey her. She'd never been anything but kind and quiet around any of these pups yet he for some reason refused to be respectful enough to use her name. Hopefully the other two had followed and would be respectful towards her. She dropped her head and let out a sigh. Speech

toRnAdic Tornadic raced to the front of the den with his tail raised to stand beside his larger brother. “See something Viceroy?” He asked with a wide grin. They were after all brothers, just like his dad and uncle, and like the two brothers that ruled the pack Tornadic and Tyto stood above the rest of their litter. Or at least in his mind they did. “Maybe it’s a bear” He said with a distinctly malicious chime. Their dad had told them he fought bears all the time, and had even fought one with their mother. “Get the bear!” He cried before he clumsily charged toward the dawn discoloration in the snow bank   Speech

Recluse didn't like that dumb old Eulogy was taking them out of the den, not because she didn't want to leave the den but because in doing so her own usual sleep schedule was getting messed with. So less to say she was upset so much as cranky. Whenever papa was around she'd sleep most of the day away with him, the night time she'd get to play with him... even if it meant little time was spent with her siblings. So the small pup stumbled grumpily after what she thought was her warden. The bright light bouncing off the snow made her eyes hurt so much they watered and she struggled to see even when she blinked the tears away. Eulogy led them to a pile that stank of meat and blood and Recluse curled her lips up. She wasn't hungry! She did catch the scent of Mordi... he hadn't been in the den when she'd awoken. So her tail started to beat the air, a playful lopsided grin spreading across her face as she bumbled through the snow towards where she scented him. There was movement there, a flurry of greys and browns and she squinted trying to see want exactly was happening. "Mordi where-" She started asking when she stumbled over something warm and soft and smelling suspiciously like her brother, into something else warm and soft and smelling distinctly unlike her brother. speech think action

Banshee trotted through the beautiful pack lands with a broad grin upon her delightful lips. The young gal looked as mischievous as ever. It seemed she was also fashionably late to the party. Ban followed the scent of her litter mates but there were familiar yet new scents mixed in, as well as Eulogy. With narrowed eyes her long legs carried her larger form towards the cold clearing with ease. The first pup the witch laid eyes upon was her bumbling sister, Recluse. A little grin slipped across her lips as she saw the partially blind creature stumble over Mordi and an unknown pup. A tiny giggle could be heard as she moved her way towards her albino sibling and spared quick glances to the newcomer. "Recluse! Stay by me so you don't go hurtin' yourself!" The blue eyed youngyin leaned down to perhaps assist her sister up and guide her away from the other two creatures one of which didn't seem so nice. Banshee was no saint, she was actually quite wicked, but when it came to her siblings they mattered most. Thus, her beaming blue eyes found Mordi and a tiny yip could be heard. "Mordecai, you allow our sibling to bumble around blindly? What are you doing?!" It felt as though she was the only one with any sense!

toRnAdic Tornadic was stopped mid charge as something large and white barreled into him and knocked him flat on his back. Momentarily stunned he could see his brothers and the trench of snow he had left in his wake before he snapped himself back to complete consciousness and raised his head to look at what had hit him. It was a girl. His eyes opened wide feeling his cheeks flush with blood as he looked into her unfocused pink eyes. The markings on her face were like lightning bolts and the realization made his eyes open wider and sink further into the snow with bashfulness. Then suddenly there were two girls, this one bark colored with piercing blue eyes. He liked blue. “Gug-“ He croaked awkwardly, trying to focus himself enough to say something so he didn’t embarrass himself further. “I’m Torn.” He blurted from beneath the two girls, one of which only seemed interested in the white female. Speech

"See something Viceroy?" Tyto's head turned to find his brother standing beside him. A grin split his maw as he wagged his tail, his attention then returning to what he had yelled at before. His brother suggested it might be a bear. He had no idea how big or small a bear was, but his father had told them that he fought bears alongside his brother. He glanced at Torn again for a moment, his grin turning into one of mischief. The moment his brother cried out to get the bear, Tyto charged alongside him. Magenta eyes were fixed on Mordecai, so he wasn't totally aware of the other two girls. He didn't even care that the brown woman was there. She wasn't any of his concern, anyway.

He was gaining ground towards Mordecai, but then out of the corner of his eye he saw something fall into his brother, and a moment later the other girl was going towards him. Tyto put on the brakes and altered his course, thinking for a moment that the two were trying to gang up on him. But as he got closer, he slowed down as he heard his brother practically fumble over his words. He came to a complete stop where he was as he looked from his brother to the girls and back again. He narrowed his eyes at them, then stiffly sauntered over to stand over the pair on the ground. "Hey! Watch yourself, girl! Don't you know who we are?" He exclaimed, head and tail raised high.

Gradually her siblings started following her example and coming out of the den, she also saw some pups that she hadn’t yet seen and an adult that she had smelled but not officially met. Her sibling Tythe was the first to come out. She didn’t think too highly of him as he was the runt of the litter but he didn’t deserve her hatred either. After all he was family, even if he was kind’ve small.
Her brother came down and sat next to her, bringing up mom and dad and some stupid rules they had made. “Well I’m not far from the den, it’s right back there” gesturing with her head. “Mom and Dad aren’t here so I might as well take advantage and get some fresh air” Her head turned as she noticed the first strange pup to come into the area “Here’s some fresh air right now” She started to walk in the direction of the other pup before she saw another one of her brother’s come out of the den. Feeling his remark about doing sneaky things was directed at her she retorted with “I’ll be sneaky if I darn well choose to.”

As the smell of meat met her nostrils she stopped dead in her tracks, it had been a while since she’d eaten. Stomach grumbling she changed course and headed towards the food. Noticing the adult female she looked at them for a bit then continued on course. They were no matter to her, as long as they didn’t try to stop her from doing anything they were fine.

Hearing the rapid pawsteps she turned around to see her brother running head on at the strange pup. The havoc that he wreaked by doing so was intrigueing. She watched as a white pup tripped over both her brother and the one trying to hide in the snow. Another pup came and seemed to protect the white one, she laughed as her brother made a fool of himself trying to introduce himself to them. Tornadic was clearly no ladies man. Tyto also entered the fiasco, it seemed he had the situation all wrong.

The thought of food long forgotten she also inserted herself into the mix. “Hush brother, it’s clearly Torn’s fault. Didn’t you see? He’s the one who ran headlong at that one pup” looking over to where they (Mordecai) were. Pushing her brothers aside she introduced them properly to the other females. “Excuse my brothers, please. I’m Theta, the rude one there is Tyto and the one making a fool of himself is properly called Tornadic.” Gesturing to her other brother she said “That one over there is Tythe and Tsunami has yet to show her face.” Such cowardess, Tsunami didn’t even have the guts to leave the den. “My apologies for any injuries your friend may have sustained. We’re the alpha’s children, who might you all be?”

The soft and warm thing she'd landed on turned out to be another pup, this close she could clearly make out his black tinted features. She felt her face flood with warmth and she stayed frozen for a moment. Then her sister's admonishment jolted her back to reality and Recluse started trying to detangle herself from the other pup. Her gaze kept swinging back to his bright yellow eyes, something easy for her eyes to focus on and pick out. Then more pups bound towards them, one boy taking an attitude towards her she didn't like. Instinctually she lifted her lips in a snarl, puppy fangs glinting in the brilliant winter sun. She was about to respond to him when another pup joined them, her words admonishing the boy she referred to as her brother. "She must be the smart one." She sneered at the boy Theta introduced as Tyto, squinting in his direction. This close it was much easier to pick out these foreign pups but the brilliant light still stung her eyes. " 'm Recluse."   She said, her gaze once more sliding towards the pup called Tornadic. "An' our papa's the taskmaster, an' mama's a goddess!" She boasted, puffing her chest out in pride. In truth the knew little of what those words meant, just that they were important and seemed to carry weight for her parents. She didn't even know if her father was better or worse than an alpha... Probably better. She assured herself. speech think action

Too many things happened at once, first a rude boy dared to address him in a irritating tone but as he rose to his full height something crashed into him and he stumbled over a unique and too familiar scent. Recluse. he shook his regalia as he rose from the ground, What are you doing out in the sun? he rose a eyebrow in question however before his sibling could even answer he rotated his crown towards her to see another unfamiliar pup that seemed to make a fool out of himself due to..his sister? The young Lord tilted his crown towards his right in question right before his bigger sister decided to make her grand entrance. She was supposed to be asleep Banshee. he replies with a sigh just as he glued himself to his albino sister left side, using his excessively long tail as a palm tree, in order to block as many sun rays as he could from touching her delicate pigmentation and to keep more shade over her lenses. A bunch of other unfamiliar faces showed up and the little muscles that adorned the petite body of the young Lord tenses upon their approach, they were outnumbered but they sure as hell won't back down. I am Mordecai. he spoke up, his lenses glued on the boys. You met my sister Recluse. This is Banshee. he pointed towards his bigger sister with his snout, observing the boys that meant to lounge at him. Sneering in their faces. The Leader pups? So what? They were just like them, pups, they held no rank and they were as unimportant for now until they prove themselves when they grow up. Not a moment laters the soft winter breeze carrier away a oak perfume that was familiar within all the other potent and strange ones. His attention diverted from the prats, bi colored gaze locking on Tythe. Angel. he voiced his thoughts aloud before the crowd as a small smile spread across lips maw. Now I see who your bullies are. he snorted as his attention returned towards the boys. His regalia remained high and if it were not for the shade he provided for his sister he would have rose his tail towards the sky like a rocket to dominate and tower over them with its excessive lenght. Tyto was quick to join Tythe and his sister, Theta, which probably meant that Tornadic wasn't trailing far behind. His two brothers seemed to have bonded already, their alpha-ness already known, which made Tythe feel inferior. He didn't know why, but he guessed it had a lot to do with his smaller size. The puppy lowered his head, frowning slightly as he stepped off to the sidelines to allow his siblings to bicker and play amongst themselves. He plopped his butt down and sighed and decided instead to watch the sunlight dance through the wintry fingers of the trees. Until a familiar, kind voice called out to him. An ear perked and Tythe glanced over to see Mordecai among the gathering of puppies, and his tail began to sway gently. "Hello, again," he murmured softly, a smile playing on his black lips. At the mentioning, Tythe's gaze drifted over to the puppies who were introducing themselves to one another. The other girls were Flower's children, which meant they were Mordecai's notorious sisters. "I see whose been biting your tail." Tythe could hear snippets of the other conversation. Of course, Theta made it known that she and her siblings were the alpha's children. Tythe rolled his eyes and sighed. So, what? He didn't understand what was so great about being alpha, or why their parents' statuses made them any better than other pups.

Banshee stood her ground as the other pups seems to square off. Chipper tones of the pups voices filled the air and her vicious blue optics scanned each and every opposing youngyin. One seemed dumb founded with a gentle introduction, the other was not so nice, the femme was riddled with confidence and manners, and the fourth seemed to be locking eyes with Mordi. The larger of the three Klein offspring puffed her chest out and raised her tail protectivly. Mordecai promptly introduced her and a devious smirk slipped across her thin inky lips. "It does not matter who our parents are." He words were met with a little sassy shake of her head. "What matters is how smart and strong you are." With a firm nod the dramatic pup confirmed her own words.

Her sparkling blue gaze flicked to Recluse as she eyed the pale albino for a moment. Banshee thought over the apology the female pup had given and offered a little shrug. "Recluse is strong! She may had trouble seeing in the daytime but shes quite the fighter in the shadows!" Her little smirk grew as her rump wiggled with excitement. "Aye! Lets play!" The babe lowered her front half to the ground and perked up her rump in a playful puppy way. "The Alphas pups versus the Taskmaster's pups. Whoever wins is crowned Leader of the Younglings!"

Banshee then left her sisters side to charge at Tornadic. A brilliant flash of darkness came forth as the babe leapt off the earth in attempt to tackle the slightly larger black and white pup head on. An array of growls and yips could be heard as well as a giggle here and there. "Charrrrrgeeee!"

It would seem that her sister shared his way of thoughts, it was a fools game to say one was better than other judging by who their parents were. It was time they settled this, it would seem. The moment his older sibling called them to arms there was no going back; after all, always and forever was their family motto. The boy, however was confused, he could pounce and attack the foolish boy that called out on to him and was nipping at his rump with who they were and who were their parents however that would bring little satisfaction than to just jump the angel and get it over with. A sight left his pouty lips as Banshee was first to take aim and head towards the dark colored pup who could barely handle his words in front of girl. Yikes! He lounge forth, a series of yelps and growls were released from the boy tiny lips as he charged towards the rude boy who he came to realize was none other than Tyto. He will regret this, of that he was sure but until then he shall enjoy his time outside, playing with other than his sibling. His excessivly long tail flowed like a sunset behind, just as he was closing the distance between the too , planning to meet him head on. Take that! he giggled and attempted to growl in his high pitched , boyish voice as he lounged head on with his teacup paws extended towards his target. He was no pansy after all! Speech

The white pup that had taken a tumble commented that Theta must be the smart one. The pups'confidence rose, she hadn't been called the smart one before. She guessed she would have to be though since the rest of her siblings didn't show as much intelligence as she did, at least in her mind.

She noticed that one of the other pups called her brother Tythe an angel. What was that about? Tythe was far from angelic or pretty in either sense of the word. The same pup went on to properly introduce the rest of his siblings. Theta guessed that he must be the leader of their brood as she was of hers.

Theta considered herself to be a leader and acted as such, if none of her other siblings stepped up to the task she certainly would.

Before the pup could comprehend what was going on two of the pups were already running or bounding at her siblings. No one from her side had yet taken action, so of course she would have to. She wasn't going to let her side be beaten easily, they outnumbered the other litter. There was strength in numbers and she would use that to her advantage. Yelling to her brother Tythe to get into the action she said "You take Recluse, i'll get the boy!"

Mordicai was hers, it was only right that the leaders determine this spat. He had leapt at Tyto and when he landed she ran at him to tackle him. Two wolves on one were better than one on one.

He scowled at Theta when she spoke, shooting her a look of daggers when she introduced him as the rude one. "I'm not rude! I just don't gotta be nice to 'em if I don't wanna be!" He shot back. He was the alpha's son dag nabbit! He didn't need to be nice to the common folk if he didn't wanna be! And then the pale girl sneered at him, causing Tyto's fur to bristle and a growl to erupt from him. Oh, she would get it! He would make sure of that! If Tornadic was too dumbfounded by her, Tyto would take care of it. He swipe both paws across the ground like he was getting ready to charge, eyes locking on her as he started to form a plan in his head. She started to brag about her dad and mom, and Tyto could only roll his eyes. "Yeah right, a goddess? Those aren't real, everyone knows that! Your mom's just lyin'!" He nodded sharply to himself. Gods didn't exist. It was stupid to believe otherwise!

They yapped more words, but Tyto didn't care about them too much. But they sure seemed to try to get on his nerves. The one boy claimed his sister was strong, and Tyto scoffed. "Yeah right! Not stronger than me!"Then they declared war (in his mind), and as the one boy charged at him, Tyto readied himself. He puffed out his chest and when he saw Theta coming in from the corner of his eye, Tyto smirked. He charged with her, head on at Mordecai as fast as he could. He was bigger than the long-tailed weirdo already. So he sought to use his weight to bowl him over, which hopefully would happen if Theta managed to hit him, too. Should he be successful, he aimed to bite at the boys scruff with sharp pointed teeth. He'd show 'em all who was boss!
