He hadn’t been too sure how far he would go until he had hit the sea. He had kept himself pointed south, sure of himself that he would get to the beach and that would be it, but he had been wrong. He had found a land bridge leading to a whole new set of lands that he didn’t even know exsisted and though he didn’t think he would be comfortable living in these more dry and warm areas, they were stunning in looks. Unique just like every land he had crossed through so far. They were also a bit more on the exotic side of things, with plants and animals he had never seen before. He didn’t even have the knowledge that there was a pack thriving in these lands until he neared the border with the castle in the near distance.

Out of pure respect he backed himself away from the border, but his eyes stared at what he could see of the castle. What was the structure and what purpose had it once served. What did it serve to this pack? It made him curious, wondering what kind of wolves thrived in these parts and wondering if he may have another oppurtunity to create an alliance with another. The more alliances he had the more he felt his pack would be safe from danger. He had been lucky enough to bring his satchel full of things Incase he would have an oppurtunity to trade, but now it looked like he may have something bigger.

He let out a deep howl, calling for the alpha of the pack, hoping to talk peace and trading agreements to help his pack remain safe from harm. He didn’t know if it would be successful, but he had to try.

Malleus was quick to answer the call at the border. While it was his prerogative to take his time, the titan made a point to be prompt in such matters. Upon being on the receiving end of tardiness he'd noticed he always formed a poor opinion of whoever was late. There was something about it that just reeked of weakness so he strove to be prompt in all matters.

Rounding the end of a broken down piece of wall brought the caller into view. He was a tall man, similar in size to many of the Abraxas, but lacked the characteristic markings to mark him as one. A mortal most likely, but there wasn't much time for further assessment as Malleus' large stride quickly ate up the distance between them.

You stand on the border of The Risen Empire, he boomed as he approached. "What is your business here?" His pace was languid, his demeanor authoritative and his expression serious. This was business and he would treat it as such until proven otherwise.

He didn't have to wait long until a male matching his height rounded a corner. Branch didn't seem to surprised to see another man of his size, if anything it made him relax a little more because he didn't have to worry about looking so intimidating now. Branch dipped his head in respect to the male as he spoke. Taking the name of the pack into memory so he wouldn't forget. He stood straight once more and looked to the male before him.

"I am Branch Wreckage, Rom-Baro or alpha of a pack in the South called Kesali. I have come to your borders today in hopes to discuss an alliance with trading possibilities," he stated.

This male looked like he wanted to get right to business and Branch had no problem with that. He just hoped that he himself looked and acted accordingly. He didn't know much of this pack, but he was willing to trade with them as long as an alliance could become of it. He was sure there was herbs, animals, and trinkets down here in Auster that you cannot find in Boreas.

Kesali. Malleus hadn't heard of that one before, but that came as no surprise to him. Packs rose and fell seemly every day. He debated asking if Branch meant the south of Boreas or Auster, but decided it was safe to assume he meant Boreas.

"I see," Malleus rumbled thoughtfully. He was quiet a moment as he considered Branch and his intentions. "Well, Branch, my name is Malleus Abraxas and I am the Risen Emperor here so you'll be dealing with me."

"I don't enter into alliances with those I don't know." His tone wasn't unkind, but it was firm. On this one point he wouldn't budge. "But the possibility of trade is promising. If you can have one without the other, we can discuss trade."

Branch respectfully let him mull it over, but it didn't take to long for the male started by introducing himself. He was the alpha and Branch's assumptions had been save. He nodded showing Malleus that he did hear and understand what he had said.

"It's good to meet you," he stated.

He was firm when he stated that he didn't like doing alliances with those he didn't know. Branch understood and respected that. He wasn't really expecting the alternative that Malleus had offered. Branch was still perfectly happy with simply trading, it was better then walking away with nothing.

"I would be happy to discuss trade," he replied.

Branch would settle with trade and he would still plan to gift the items within his satchel even though there would be no alliance from this meeting. He was just happy that Malleus had given another option.

If Branch was disheartened by his rejection of alliance talk he didn't show it. Good. The sooner he abandoned the idea the sooner they could get down to real business possibilities, so it pleased Malleus that Branch seemed willing to change gears so fast.

"I would be happy to discuss trade," Branch offered, and Malleus was quick to seize that chance. "Good, let's get down to business, then. What does Kesali have to offer in trade to The Risen Empire?" Malleus wasn't going to lay out Risen's goods just yet. Branch had initiated this meeting so it was only fair that he lay out the groundwork.

He was sure over time and trading the packs would hopefully get to know one another. Malleus seemed happy to get down to business asking what Branch's pack had to offer. He looked down to his satchel and worked it off his shoulder, picking it up and placing it down between the two of them. He then looked to Malleus.

"In here are some samples of what we have, but it's not the only things we have. Herbs, meats, pelts, bones, treasures, and we are willing to trade skill knowledge as well." he stated. "All of those are what we have to offer currently."

With his nose he gently opened the flap to expose a bundle of uncommon to rare herbs found in the south, a few shiny treasure trinkets, and some crafted things. The bag was full of things and Branch drew his attention back to Malleus.

"Would any of those options be suitable for you and your pack to trade," he asked.

Malleus' expression was a careful mask of neutrality as he looked over the items Branch had brought with him. His inner healer would have loved to jump on the herbs, but he had to wonder if they were practical for a conquest-minded pack. Knowledge, meats (presumably preserved), and crafted items were probably more their speed. It wouldn't hurt to go for a variety, though. And if the plants were well preserved...

"I've no doubt we can reach an agreement of some sort," he hedged thoughtfully as he eyed the selection. He had a lot to consider; both what he wished to receive from Kesali and what he would give in return. There was quite a bit of overlap in what Branch had to offer and what Malleus had an abundance of which narrowed down his options. He tried to think of the things individual pack members might find useful. Perhaps packs or pouches for the scouts and healers, traps for the hunters and so on. While he'd never done it he knew it was possible to create containers out of clay that could be used for a host of things.

"What kind of skill knowledge?" he asked after a beat. "And is it presumptuous of me to assume you would consider knowledge in return?" Perhaps Branch or one of his followers would be interested in learning to smoke meats. Assuming they didn't know already.

Branch curiously watched Malleus, but he was hard to read. He kept a neutral look on his face making it hard for Branch to know if he was interested or not. There had to be some interest since the older male simply didn't just chase him off. He perked as Malleus stated he had no doubt in coming to an agreement. It was a relief to hear, but what sort of agreement Branch was unsure of yet. He didn't know anything about this pack, or what their morals were. So far things seemed promising, but this was also alot different from the other packs he had met with so far. Then he asked a question and offered an idea towards an agreement.

"Right now we have several skilled healers who have knowledge in creating poultice's, We have a crafter within our pack, hunting, and a skilled treasure hunter," he replied. "Not at all, we would definitely be interesting in trading knowledge for knowledge."

He waited for Malleus to continue, to see if this would be their deal. He was okay with starting off trading knowledge for knowledge because his pack could always use learning. He wasn't sure if the knowledge his pack had would be good enough for this man's pack, but right now he had nothing to loose.
