when you're gone
The smells in the air mingled, old and new, she took it all in as she explored. The aging scent of her parents was here and she savored every bit of it. Still struggling with honing in on one particular scent she could only smell their particular scent for a short bit before all the other scents came flooding back in. Giving a melancholy look to the air she sat down, she missed her parents, she truly did.
Banshee happily trotted though the forest. Tan paws fell upon the earth with ease. She wasn't as large as some of the other pups but it was evident she would grow into a behemoth one day. Ban's paws were too big at the moment and her legs lanky. When she moved she looked like a baby Horse but the spunky babe was sure to make it work. As the youngling made her way through the thicket the noises of familiar movement filled her ears. Banshee slowed enough to find the source and her blazing blue eyes fell upon another pup. It was Theta, the only girl in the King's litter. A tiny smirk fell upon her mischievously inky lips. Banshee moved into a lowered stance as she began to stalk the opposing creature. Due to her youth the babe was horrible at being quiet but it was all fun and games. As Theta sat down the Klein pup moved into action. Banshee charged Theta from behind, aiming to plant her paws on the opposing pup's upper back. "Gotcha!"
FIRE AND BLOOD

Theta scrambled to get to a standing position looking at her attacker. She vaguely recognized them as a pup from the other litter. What had made them think that doing that was the smart thing to do? Even she didn’t attack her siblings without fair warning, from what she had heard an honorable wolf never attacked from behind.
Staring at the other pup Theta made a pointed comment “Ow! What was that for?!” Theta wasn’t having the best initial thoughts when it came to this pup.
