wakey-wakey
She guessed he was sleeping, and her dainty paws carried her to where he usually curled up. Her bright magenta gaze reflected the light of the stars above as she aimed to place her lips close to his ear. With a voice that was soft, but forceful enough to wake him Velvette barked, ”Ramesh!” And then bound away as she awaited retaliation.
He rubbed sleep from his eyes and looked out into the darkness in confusion. “Sis?” he grumbled, a sleepy, annoyed edge to his tone. “If you want me to train in the morning, keeping me from sleep is stupid. Wake me up in the morning" he grumbled, no part of him even guessing that to her, this was morning. How could it be? Not a hint of light broke the darkness, it might as well be the middle of the night for all he knew.
Glaring blarry daggers in whatever direction she skulked would be all the retaliation he would offer her, before he curled back up on his paws, and tried to get back to sleep.
Still, couldn’t it wait until morning? he tried to curl up and find sleep again, but his stinky sister wouldn’t let him. She poked at his butt, and her words tried to shame him. He growled at her, grumpy and sleepy. "I’m not sure that’s a comfort" he grumbled, as she promised him it would be morning when they got to their destination.
However, he knew what a pig-headed woman his sister could be, and it seemed she was determined to whip him back into shape. He knew that he would find no peace until she got precisely what she wanted. He sighed and got to his paws slowly, feeling another sharp prod as she got him with her antlers. “i’m up, im up!” he complained, before scrambling along his branch and leaping to another one, just to get momentarily out of her range. “Where are we going, then?’ he grumbled. He might be going along with this, but he would make it obvious that it was under duress only.
