Célestin knew he couldn't keep moping, Pegasus wouldn't wait forever, or at least he shouldn't be forced to, and the boy knew he needed to figure out what he was going to do
That meant he needed to talk to his mother. In truth, he had been dreading this conversation he had sequestered himself away from everyone and he didn't doubt there would be some resentment that he would even pose the question but he knew where he needed to go.
He was suffocating here, everywhere he looked he was reminded of his sister, he needed out. But he also knew he would stay, he would ignore the very tugging of his heart if his family needed him to stay.
So Célestin approached his mother's den, cautious not to spook her. "Maman? He asked as he poked his head into her den, eyes straining to adjust.

To say blaise felt guilty was an understatement but he was doing his best to keep his insane mother from hurting herself and his siblings any further. Without naeva his mom had really no one else watching her. So it was now his job. Seeing as uncle torin had bigger things to do nowadays. Shed already tried to gouge out her eyes, the last thing she needed was to be left alone.
And that's why he was even here.
He was sitting across the den from her with a stern look on his face as she layed there, moping and depressed like she seemed to be now, when celestin popped up. Him and celestin to say the least he felt were on less than speaking terms but he was sorta glad that the other boy was here. He stood as celestin spoke and took his way to slightly block his brother's view for the moment. "Prepare yourself celestin, she isn't doing good." and with that he moved past his smaller brother, careful not to let his greater size push cel over. "I'll be outside if you need me."

The days were long and the nights cold. Her only company was blaise now but even he wasn't so warm. She had been hurting and in truth she'd also tried to hurt herself. She now had rough gashes on her eyes and brow. The memory of her daughter dead had burned into her eyes and she wanted it gone. She wanted to never see any of them dead or angry with her again. She'd never been a great mother but she'd tried to at least be something akin to a good mom. Now she laid in her den with aloud in his nest watching her son across the den with scorn. Alois understood her. But blaise did not. He had stopped her from harming herself more, had even been forcing her to eat more. But she didnt see why, he didn't really care, she could see it in the way he glared at her. Just like his father's eyes too. She remembered them the most. Blaise was going to be just like him. She should end him shouldn't she? Before he hurt some one? Yes that might be best. All of a sudden celestin's voice pulled her from her thoughts. Oh his eyes, they were like torin's eyes. Torin, who forgot about her now. All because that girl was here. She was here first and torin forgot his own sister. She lifted her head and looked towards celestin. Alois was quick to take flight and land on Celestin's shoulder as blaise left. "Come in boy." Walk, "Jewell "Alois" Think |

The first thing Célestin saw was his brother an ominous warning on his lips and the boy, watched his brother go, feeling his dread tighten around him, threatening to strangle him. But as his eyes adjusted to the dim light he finally saw what his brother warned about and his stomach twisted painfully, fear and grief in equal parts threatened to drag him down to the earth and he only just registered the light weight of his mother's bird companion on his shoulder. He moved numbly into the den, unable to keep his horror from his face.
He collapsed in front of his mother, unable to tear his gaze from those horrific scars above her eyes. "Qu'es ce qui c'est passé?" He asked, his voice no more than a whisper but still feeling too loud.
