Things felt like they were getting a little easier. He wasn't totally sure in what ways just yet, just that his goals so far were a little closer now than they had been before. He still needed to speak to his niece and nephew again, to make sure they knew they weren't forgotten. He'd been too busy preparing to raise his own flags that he felt he was neglecting them a bit. Ignis had even asked him to help him make something, and Ace would oblige. But first, his nephew needed help finding the materials, so Ace set out to help him do just that. While Ignis went to look in another part of the lake, Ace went the opposite way to begin his own search. His foxes were busy splashing around in the shallows of the lake and trying to catch fish while he searched the banks of the lake to see if he could find anything useful for Ignis.

T he alabaster male was sticking close to the river. He wasn't sure what destinations were ahead when it came to him, but, he kept to himself and made sure he didn't cause any trouble for himself. After all, he wasn't much of a fighter with only three legs to go off of, but, he did wish to craft himself a decent weapon to protect himself with a little more thoroughly. His right leg was beyond saving at this point, so the last thing he needed was another injury with one of his other legs or even worse.
A slight huff escaped his vocals as he walked across the bank, his eyes scanning for anything of use, the vine that he used to make a snare being carried within his maw. A gentle breeze blew across his coat as he walked a little bit. However, his attention soon focused on what appeared to be two foxes playing in the water, and a wolf that appeared to be walking around where he was. The thought of him possibly being an enemy trailed in his mind, but, he wasn't going to judge until the wolf said something. He kept his distance a little from the other male and the foxes as he lied down to rest a little bit.

With his nose to the ground and focused on finding something that Ignis might be able to use for what he wanted to make, he almost didn't notice the stranger lingering nearby. It wasn't until the background noise of the splashing foxes had stopped for a minute before he lifted his head to find them staring at him. He looked at them questioningly before he realized they weren't looking at him, but past him. He turned around to find another wolf standing there, watching them but keeping his distance. He was similarly colored with alabaster fur and darker markings. He didn't seem harmful, but he couldn't quite tell just by looking at him. With a flick of his tail, he nodded to the stranger "Salve (hello), stranger. Nice day, hm?" The foreign word was still strange on his tongue, but if he was learning a new language...he might as well use it, right?

T he foxes definitely seemed to be enjoying the day as far as the alabaster wolf was concerned. He was still rather new to the lands and was trying to find some form of residency to stay in, or to stay for a couple days before he could really travel again. The brute didn't travel long distances as much as he had been able to when he had four legs; now that one of them was out of commission for the rest of his life, he had to take movement rather slowly and carefully.
His thoughts, however, were soon interrupted by a foreign language that he had never particularly heard before, but he had to assume it was a form of greeting. The wolf that approached had similar coloration like himself. From his looks alone, Gero had to assume that he was in his fair share of fights due to the amount of scars that already plagued his frame.
"Halò(Hello)," Gero spoke in greeting, "It quite is. Pardon if I disturbed you in any way, was just passing through and thought I'd take a moment to rest," he assured the older male, reassuring him that he wouldn't be of any harm to him or the fox's that he saw a bit ago. "Might I add, that greeting is certainly different from where I come from, very unique." The male always loved to learn new things, so if there was an opportunity to try and learn something new, he wouldn't pass it up. Knowledge was something that he treasured, especially since he grew up that way when it came to his family and how much they enjoyed teaching and learning as much as he did.
