Ballad couldn’t imagine before what she had been missing without her sister beside her. She hadn’t stopped touching Eris since they had been reunited, if it was a quick nuzzle or simply her tail resting on her sister’s shoulder. If it felt this good to have Eris back how would it feel when they were a complete quartet and Amaretto was with them? She wondered if their sibling had her memories intact like Eris, or if she too was missing part of herself.

She asked many questions about Tor and her counterpart Fenris while they made their way to the battlefield. Though she felt like she was gaining a great amount of knowledge she hoped it might have led to more memories returning. Still, she remained grateful and continued to tap similar signs on Eris’s shoulder as they went. Of course none of the conversation could keep her from helping to search for Amaretto.

Thus far no one had gotten whiff of their sister at all. Ballad could feel her deeper self yearn for Amar’s presence, she could almost feel the girl in her grasp. There was nothing yet.

Eris Pyre

Eris was more than happy to entertain Ballad's questions as they proceeded as a trio to the scene of the crime, as it were. The answers seemed so clear to her, answering Ballad was like second nature. Although the situation was dire, she found herself almost jovial. This conversation seemed like so many others that they had had, although it had once been Eris with all of the questions and Ballad with her patient answers. The role reversal was strange, but Eris hoped that she lived up to her sister's standards.

Once they arrived, Eris found herself disoriented. There were so many strange smells here... some metallic and entirely unfamiliar. The she-wolf paused, looking around in distress. It was a vast, empty expanse - how could they find anyone here? Even Eris felt like she was lost upon arrival. The sun was high in the sky and there was a strong wind that whistled across the plateau. She put her nose to the ground out of habit; after all, she was used to travelling this way out of necessity. Still nothing.

Eris didn't give up that easily. There had to be some kind of clue or trace of their sister, even if it was just an old tuft of hair. "Can you recall where you were when you first woke up?" She asked, looking over her shoulder in the vague direction of Ballad. Maybe if they had a central starting location, they could work their way out from there. How long had it been since they had arrived? Eris had lost track of the days.
