It had taken her a little while to follow Archon into the pack lands. She had mostly stuck to the outer edges of its borders until she finally wrestled herself into a corner. If she continued to refuse to enter the pack, Dea knew there would be consequences. Though her personal...apprehension about entering the pack would not factor into the equation, Dea wasn't sure this would even be a good idea for her. She was never meant to be a follower, but she had given her word to Archon and as a result, her bond to him saw her lower her head in a momentary defeat. Fine... She thought to herself, the Demon King's daughter would consign herself to the will of another. A short and polite summoning howl would be sent out, though she knew most leaders kept their border patrols rather tight. Dea didn't want to keep Archon waiting much longer. He would come looking for her swollen form, and to make him worry would be a punishment he did not deserve. Her pink eyes scanned over the expanse of this particular location, with the lake in sight and a promise of something great. She waited silently, a secret smile across her maw as she felt life stir within her. Soon, little ones... She thought to herself and the babes within her belly, something made her heart swell stronger than when she was around Archon. Dea was unfamiliar with the feeling, and had no name for it, but she knew she would die protecting the life within her. This was simply another way to protect them, and herself, from Archon's wrath. She had yet to see any of that directed at herself, but she would not leave his side even if it was shown. The plea for concert had been directed at the leader of this pack and for Archon. All she had now was waiting and secret sensations that made her smile. ((OOC: Bleh, tis crap, but will improve XDD)) |

Though she was heavily pregnant Belle found herself making way towards the call. Honestly she had expected it much earlier, but the voice also called for Archon and the Empress had no doubt who she was about to meet. If her own calculations were correct, the woman couldn’t be due much later than herself. Belle was still conflicted about her, but would reserve her judgement for when they met. She’d had too much heartache recently, though it was just desserts for being enamored with the incredible men in her life.
Though she wouldn’t admit that she was waddling the Empress was indeed doing just that was she made her way to the border, Sirius was around somewhere close. He would be at her side in an instant if trouble occurred. Archon was right behind her as well, so the she wolf approached with confidence and all the grace of a fully pregnant woman.
”Greetings,” she offered formally as she wasn’t entirely sure what her relationship might be with this woman. ”Deathbelle Ravage Klein, the Empress of Ashen.” She told her with a quick nod of her otherwise high held head. ”You are of the Fallen Band?” She added a question to confirm her suspicions as she looked the tall, also very pregnant, woman over.

Dea had finally made her mind up to join the pack. He had been so worried that she would decide to stay away which would have caused various problems between them. No matter how many times Archon went out to bring her back with him, he had always come back empty handed. This time, she came to them and called for him and Deathbelle. Belle knew that despite their feelings for each other, in public they were strictly business. With no spared glances between them, Archon came up to stand a short distance from Belle as he faced Dea from the pack side of the border.
"Dea," he said. "So you've finally decided to come to our new home" A small smile played on Archon's features. One that spoke of pride in her decision, no matter how late.

Dea held herself in a formal posture as the darker female came to her. Archon had tried to warn her, and in truth part of what he had said was the reason for her delay. As the other woman came closer, Dea's eyes travelled briefly to the distended roundness of her stomach, and the words clicked. He had made a blood pact, within days of coming to her. It felt as if she had been speared in her chest, though on the outside she held a stony, guarded expression. A graceful smile was brought to Dea's face, one that would easily be recognizable by those who knew her, but to others it would seem almost friendly - albeit formal. As Deathbelle spoke, Dea found herself listening with a feigned politeness.
"I am Dea, yes. I am of the Fallen Band. I adhere to the ways of the Fallen God, and follow Archon in faith." A familiar form came into view and Dea's entire demeanor shifted from stiff formality to openly adoring and friendly. The shift was not hidden, and Dea gave Archon the brightest of genuine smiles. "I made a promise to walk by your side, Archon, and I intend to keep it. Can't go back now!" A small laugh was given, and a soft thump against the ground signaled her tail waving. She felt a little better having Archon there, some females got weird when pups were involved. Dea had made her promise out of love for Archon and a shared love for their God, she had made the blood oath before their God, and she would keep it.

With mismatched ears perked she wasn’t very surprised at the mention of the fallen god. Though even Circe hadn’t been so outright in her assertion of her faith as Dea. Why Archon chose her to mother his children was partially revealed. Belle quite liked the thought that she had been the one doing the choosing, but maybe Archon was right. The Abraxas god had brought them together. Before she could get another word in Archon appeared beside her.
The switch in Dea’s form was like night and day. Belle kept herself neutral to this except for a quick glance and raised an eyebrow in Archon’s direction. She couldn’t fault the woman since she hadn’t been at all perceivably rude. However it did make the Empress feel slighted, not that she would show it but her opinion of the woman was not raised.
”Indeed.” She interjected, ivory tail lashing at her hips. ”Well, Dea.” She tried out the woman’s name before asking, ”What are your skills? Where would you best fit within Ashen?” She certainly hadn’t spent her private moments with Archon chattering about what skills his band members possessed.

Archon watched as Dea's friendliness became sticky and sweet in his presence, but he was inclined to accept it. He knew this was a nerve wreaking task set before her and that she needed the support. Archon nodded towards her, "It is a worthwhile endeavor you are about to embark on. One that will benefit not only yourself, but the future generation."
He let Deathbelle take the lead afterwards. This was her pack and her place to decide Dea's fate within it. He had some say and a little sway, but this part was as much of a test for Dea as it was for any wolf. 'Let her prove herself the demonic queen she truly is', Archon thought to himself.

Deathbelle spoke again, asking Dea where she would fit best in the empire. The demonic woman knew what she meant, how would she benefit them, but she gave a warm smile. It was painted darkly on her face, though it was hard to find an expression on Dea that wasn't tainted. "I was made for fighting and strategy." While she wasn't normally one to boast, the smile on her face said she quite enjoyed tearing others apart and watching her plans come together. "My current status notwithstanding, I would like to find a niche here in that skillset." When Archon spoke, Dea's smile turned sweeter, and she waved her tail.
"I believe you." She said simply, though there was more within her words that carried weight. This was a test of her faith and her ability, she wasn't daft. This was meant to see what her resolve was, and it was meant to strengthen her. She feared it would come between herself and Archon, though she tried not to dwell in that particular realm of her mind for now. Best to entertain that notion on her own.

The Empress narrowed her gaze, brows furrowing slightly as she took in Dea’s words as well as her body language. She wasn’t the one being followed here, it was Archon. Unimpressed, Deathbelle ignored the problem for now. Her own children needed their siblings beside them, what she thought about Dea was of no consequence. She sounded like she would be content enough to seek out a position within her fighters.
”Welcome to Ashen, Soldier.” Deathbelle delivered the warm words with a chilled voice. She had been ready to accept her with open arms, but it seemed the only arms she wished to be in, were Archons. ”I’m sure that you prefer Archon shows you around?” She asked with another raised brow to her Daimyo before politely ducking out. ”I look forward to meeting the pups.” She added before turning around and making her quickest effort to find Zee and a foot massage.

Archon only let out the smallest of sighs. He didn't expect the two to get along, but he had expected them to make a better face effort. He only hoped they would come to their wits by the time the pups were born. It would have been so simple if the agreement between himself and Deathbelle had remained professional, but now it hadn't and he had to deal with that. When his empress left, Archon waited a beat before addressing Dea. How did he feel so tired?
He took a second then turned to Dea with a soft expression, "We'll have to keep trying until you can either win her heart or her respect. A demon queen can do one of those, right?" He gave a more chipper smile, willing her to take the challenge and to prove herself stronger than the wary, uncomfortable wolf she had become recently.
"Where would you like to look? How about a nice densite?"
