Monsters Can't Have Pretty Flowers

The firefly festival was over, and he was carefully carrying the stem of a large flower in his jaws. A bright orange in the middle turned into deep red on each of the six petals, before turning back to a stunning, vibrant orange. It was eye-catching and beautiful and this was why Aiden had selected it. After all, how could one be a monster with something so beautiful? That was the message, anyway, and the point. Hopefully it would go over well as he was hoping it would. He knew he wouldn't be able to weave it into her fur himself, though, and that was perhaps the biggest regret, but maybe they could find someone or something willing.
He paused near where he had found her the first time, nose twitching as he sniffed for her scent. Surely she had come through here again, and he could track her back to her den, yes? Ah - there. With a little perk-up, the brown wolf loped his way in pursuit of the scent - only to have it end not that far away. Coming quickly to a halt, he stopped a respectable distance away. Placing the flower down very carefully next to his paws, he called out softly. "Novel? Are you there?"
"Speech" "You"
