The tiny jelly beans had begun to escape the confines of their four-wall world, and make their way out into the pack lands. It was a stressful time for the giant, as he sought to watch and keep safe all of them, jumping from one part of the ravine to another in a bid to keep an eye on the tiny creatures. It was rare for them to poke their heads out from the den, and not find the stern titan waiting across the waters, there to keep a careful eye on them, not to ruin their fun. That didn’t mean he didn’t occasionally join in on their games, his titanic form held carefully, and his fangs lifted high above them. He was so very weary of hurting the tiny, squishy forms of the babes. Today the titan sat just outside the den, instead of away from it, waiting for the moment they would wake and make their bid for freedom. He waited with great anticipation for the tiny bundles of joy, and his snow leopard warrior in training waited beside him. The cub, still quite small, let its long fluffy tail flick behind her as she waited, as she had been bidden to, for the pups to emerge. "Speech"

Pestilence strode confidently from the den, head held high and doing her best to give off the best princess vibe she could. Mother and Father said she'd be a strong wolf, a God among mortals. She had to look the part, right? It all started with appearances. The less afraid you looked, the less afraid you'd feel.  

The young pup might as well have been wearing blinders as she pushed her head out past the hide door of the palace. Her path took her directly into the towering giant of Sirius - her mother's sworn guard. In that moment though, silhouetted by the sun and sitting in his massive glory he looked so damn scary. Her head very nearly bumped into the darkness of his pelt and she skittered back, instantly losing her confident posturing and instead high-tailing it back into the safety of the den with an echoing squeal. "VENOM!!" She cried. It sounded so much better then running away and screaming for mommy. There was something fierce and scary outside the den and her sister was going to kill it for her.

never say die Although Cal wasn't the sister Pesto called for, she still came careening out of the den at the sound of her yelp. They were sisters, they'd never let each other down. With a battle-howl, she closed her eyes and lowered her head and rammed her horn buds into Sirius' side with all of her might. "Get smited, foul beast!" She wasn't quite sure what smited meant, but Archon said it a lot. She roared again, then opened her eyes wide to confront the creature that had scared Pestilence. "Oh. Hi Seer," Cal said, confused. "Hey, P! It's just Sirius!" The puppy, overcome with giggles, rolled over on to her back and wriggled about. "calamity ordains you unworthy"

The young white marked Klein was very much headed to a life in the night, just like her mother. She would have napped there on her cheetah skin for the rest of the day if Pesto’s feared calling of her name hadn’t woken her. Bright purple pink eyes blinked open as she saw Pestilence rush into the den and Calamity run out. The sleepy pup was confused, but had to know what was going on outside the curtain. Pulling her legs beneath her the young Princess raced from the den just as Calla did, only to find her headbutting their titan of a guardian. Even if Calla was going to let him off easy Venom had no intention of that.

She was the oldest, she was the one who needed to protect her siblings from the frights that lingered beyond. Even though she wasn’t the biggest puppy she would certainly be the bravest. Venom made a running leap, and tried to stick herself to Sirius’s shoulder with her kitten claws. She’d aim to bite at his neck and cause him as much discomfort as her tiny body could. Served him right scaring Pesto.

The first pup to amerge got a fright as she took in his large frame, he raised an eyebrow and watched her react. She called for Venom, and Sirius had also noticed the authority of the snake-tongued girl. It did not surprise him that the other pups turned to her for assistance. The next pup to emerge was the horn-bud girl, who used her little nubs to ram into his side. He made sure to let out a satisfying ‘uump’ at her effort, taking a step back as through her little body had pushed him. He reached over and gave her ears a ruffle after she noticed him, and gave her a wink. Venom’s charge was more intense, running from the den and attacking him with her little claws. He let her climb her body, holding himself still and careful so she wouldn’t fall from his large frame. “Go, bast” he whispered to the cub, as he had bidden her to earlier. With an excited yip, the little beast jumped forward, aiming to tackle Calamity and Pesto with her long white body. Sirius on the other hand, fell onto his back, and gently kicked out at Venom with his paws, trying to wrestle her free of his neck without hurting her. "Speech"

Calamity surprisingly was the first to come to Pestilence call, and the young pup reminded herself to give her nubbed sister one free pass for headbutting her in exchange. As Pesto huddled in the corner shivering, Cala's voice rang out along with a giggle. "Well he scared me!" She accused insistently, as if the fright he'd given her was more then enough to deserve screaming and crying. Her tiny brows furrowed in anger and she moved to storm out of the den to give Sirius a piece of her mind. Next came Venom - slightly late to her call - and Pesto looked on as her sister did her best to defend her from the guardian who sat outside. Her chest puffed up proudly, watching as the oldest pup ravaged him with her tiny claws. Serves him right. She continued forward, head extending out from the den when another scare overwhelmed her. A pile of fluff landed squarely upon her and Pesto squeaked as she fell to the ground. "Cala! Heeelp!" She knew Venom was busy savagely attacking the titan, so she'd need her other sister to help her out from beneath the ball of fur. Unknown to her was whether or not the cub had gotten Cala too, and in that case both pups were likely well and truly screwed. "Speech" "Thinking" "You."
