The last of these three, first season sermons consisted of talking about the future. By now they knew what grand and wonderful blood they held and they knew of the mortals and what traits they had. Archon knew it would be easy to become enamored with the idea of only ever interacting with other gods, but Archon also knew such a life was pitiful and unyielding. He must guide the pups towards a worthwhile and fruitful life. With this last, pivotal sermon, he intended to gear his children in that direction. Soon enough, they would be a season old. Winter would come. They'd meet new wolves, new ideas. Archon just wanted them to have a sturdy foundation on which to stand as they tackled the new and mortal world. Laying out the furs and tipping his head back, Archon called for his children once more for a mandatory sermon.

Pestilence was in the process of stealthily stalking their guardian, Sirius, when Archon's call rang out. "Oh darn!" She shouted, frustrated. Without another glance to her prey, Pesto turned on her heel and started a slow and heavy paw'd grump-walk towards the meeting place. Her head was low, and as she strode up her eyes lifted to glare up at her dad before striding over and placing her rump upon a mat. She curled up on it, head flopping down upon her paws and away from Archon as she waited for her siblings to show up.

"Speech"
"Thinking"
"You."

gimme peace, gimme dharma

Another call to meeting. Ugh. Cal grunted as she was nosed out of the den and towards Archon's summons. Why couldn't they learn about more important things? Like... fighting, or healing, or hunting? Cal would rather learn something that required her to use her body. She had so much pent up energy! It took everything in her to settle in politely next to Pesto and not yawn out of boredom.

With the other puppies showing up from Archon's other litter, these meetings could get crowded quickly. Her and Pesto always seemed to show up first. Maybe they'd get something special as a reward?

"calamity ordains you unworthy"

The white gloved she pup found her way after her sisters dutifully. She may have had trouble sitting still, but that didn’t mean she didn’t enjoy learning from their father. With her usual perky self, head high and tail wagging she made her way after Calla and came up to sit beside her near twin sister. With her dakr ears perked she looked to her father for the third sermon in his series. She smiled up at him, and couldn’t help but flick her tongue in anticipation as she tried to settle herself in for a good listen. She folded her limbs and sat sphynx like as she awaited the arrival of the rest of their siblings. Full and half.

Another meeting...Gadreel still wasn't completely sure what to think. But so far, he believed he was better than the freaks. Especially the one with the gross looking tongue. Had someone bit it down the middle or something? He made a face when he thought about it. It was seriously gross! How did she even drink water and stuff without slobbering all over herself? That thought made him snort as he tried to stifle his laughter. They had be mortals compared to him. Those half siblings just looked broken. Definitely a mortal trait, he was sure. He showed up to find three of his half sisters there, though as usual, he didn't acknowledge any of them and headed straight for his father. Again, he sat in front and looked expectantly up at him. "What're we learning today, father?" He was curious. What he'd learned so far had been fruitful to say the least, and he was eager to learn more.

Toxicity already knew who to expect to get to the meeting before her, but she wasn't upset. She'd like to be first once, but it didn't eat away at her. She found herself exceptionally excited for this sermon since her father had said that after this, they were ready to function as Abraxas until they were over a season old. It meant she was one step closer to being an adult.

She came to the group finding the expected siblings in their places. She trotted through each of them giving them warm smiles and- if allowing- brief affections. Then came her favorite prickly pear, Gadreel.

"Hey Gad," she said softly, pulling a fur up by him. "People are gonna think we're hard of hearing if we always crowd dad." She let out a soft laugh and settled down beside him. "We might not have gotten the blessings like some of our other siblings, but at least our ears work, right?"

Lily trailed in right after Gadreel this time, though she didn't sit quite as close as he did to their father. These sermons had been interesting, though they were close together and often came at an inopprotune moment for Lily. This time, though, she had been grooming her brindled coat so it hadn't been a terribly important chore that had been interrupted. Watching her other siblings, Lily began to wonder if Gadreel was right. What if the others were sick? They certainly seemed to be, with things growing out of them and one having the tongue of a snake, it was hard to believe they had been blessed into such an existence.

It made her wonder what her father thought of Deathbelle's brood, did he view them as special? Or were they deformed as she and Gad thought they were. Lily was not going to ask, it would be seen as rude - or so she assumed. Instead, she would watch and wonder in silence. Looking at her father with an expectant look, Lily waited for the sermon to come so she could go and spend some time with her mother.

Plague would have been on time for this meeting, but as with last time the growing spikes caused him to itch ferociously and he was forced to stop and scratch several times before he actually made it to the gathering. His sisters had already made it, and two of the half-siblings had as well. He huffed his frustration at being one of the last to show up but said nothing. Noting that the others were clustered around their father, Plague sulked to the back to sit opposite Lilybet, and more behind Pest and Cal. The pale boy tried to not stand out, though for him that was difficult. "Hey, Pest, Cal, you wanna go play after this? We can make up potions or something..." He trailed off as he was forced to scratch his neck, Plague's spikes were coming in rather nicely. "Maybe find a cure for this itch!" They had already grown to be an inch long, but the growth came with a price, and man...it was itchy!

Gadreel was always teeming with curiosity and Archon spared him a light nuzzle to his chest to hush his questions, "You will soon see." Archon waited until all of his kids were present and waiting before beginning.

"By now you have learned of your godly inheritance and the many paths of those around you. As you go forth in the world, spreading God's will, there will come a time where you are called to have children in the name of God. This is the greatest honor- becoming your father has been my greatest honor. It means God has entrusted you to choose someone spectacular to share in the creation of a litter of gods."

Now, it was too early for a talk of HOW those litters would be made, but it was important for them to know who to look to before they got any immoral crushes.

"When that time comes, it may seem to make sense that the only way to have a litter of gods would be to breed with another god, but this is not always the case. Many mortals make fine carriers for children of god and through those children they may also be blessed. There are, however, a set of Litter Laws to ensure the litter to be healthy and blessed."

He looked at each of them. There were some rules to follow and they needed to know them well.

"No one is to approach any close relative to have a litter. Do not have litters with your sister nor brother, either of your father’s litters or your mother’s litters, whether they were born in the same litter or elsewhere. No aunts nor uncles on either side of your family. No cousins, nor any wolf who shares the same last name nor the last name of any of your parents."

It was simple: don't fuck family. Archon couldn't say that, though.

"Pups produced from such litters would be cursed to a life of unholiness and bring such wickedness upon their parents as well. Such pups are also at risk for being mortally nonviable as well as morally. If anyone you know performs such a detestable sin, they are to face judgment and be cut of wholly, for they are unclean in mind, spirit, and body. Such wolves should be stripped of any chance of ascension, their holy lineage, their sigils, and ultimately their life is forfeit for culling."

He looked to each to set in how serious he was. He would rather take the life of any of his relatives than let them fall to uncleanly acts. Obi had taught him some of the ways his tribe had explained such things and Archon tried to adapt that to this lesson.

"Litters produced otherwise, will be blessed by God, or by a combination of the deities the two wolves embody. You are not required to get married, but may do so when your heart desires. Such a choice is left to your heart as long as it complies with the Litter Laws."
