He was back in the crumbling lands of the original Ashen Empire, it was like no time had passed at all, and still their enemies came and them from all sides. The hungry faces of the wolves that had suffered, and watched the Empire and its family eat as they starved. They would take out their anger on the small family member beside him, and eat from her flesh, if he gave them but half a chance. Never, never would he let them touch a hair on Deathbelles body. He would fight until his last breath, to keep Deathbelle alive.

The came at him, and he unleashed himself, the fighter knocked one to the ground, tearing out his throat before another struck his side. The fighting rolled on in earnest, and he lost track of Deathbelle, as he lashed out, attacking, fighting, both for his life and hers.

He became slowly aware of screaming, the scent of blood in his nostrils, and the hopeless wail of loss. It was strange to him, because the sound of Luce’s scream had no place in his dream. She had not been here, in this moment of his life. He came to slowly, finding himself standing in the Empress’s den. The scent of blood stronger for his waking, instead of weaker. He looked about, and truly saw the place for the first time. He would see Deathbelles ravaged body, torn to pieces by the sharp cuts of an elongated fang. He turned slightly, and saw Zee beside her, the small frame of the slave girl he had taken as his wife was limp, and her pale coat darkened with ember pools of her lifeblood. Her eyes were open, and he realised there was still a flicker of life beneath her orbs. There was accusation inside of them, pain, and betrayal. “Why…” she whispered, and her last breath came with those words, and she was no more.

The warlord Titan threw back his head, and he roared with his self hated, his loss and his anger. He saw white with the rage inside of him once he realised what he had done. He had no reason left to live, without his Mistress and his Wife here in this world. what had he done.

He woke to find himself on the stone plane above the den he had chosen for Zee, alone, and with the gentle scents of rock and earth around him. He was in a cold sweet, and immediately his eyes thrown wide, chest heaving in deep pants. He threw himself from the rock and into the den beneath, almost bowling over Zee in his rush to sniff her over, and ensure she was well and whole. Their was craziness in his eyes, that marked a difficulty with answering questions right at that moment.

Zee was working tireless into the late hours of the night, doing her best to craft a gift up to her mistress' high standards. It was to be a blanket, made with the heavy hide of a bison with soft rabbit pelt beneath to keep the warmth in and add comfort. She knew Deathbelle was having a hard time sleeping lately and was feeling Archon's absence in a very hard way, her wish was to craft something heavy that could be wrapped tight around her Empress at night, keeping her warm as well as simulating some sort of contact for the widow.

Her focus was so intent upon her craft that she didn't hear Sirius as he stirred and awoke with a start above her, and her gaze only pulled from the blanket in time to see him barrel into the den. She threw the blanket aside quickly as she could, just in time for her titan to practically shove her over in his anxiety fueled inspection. "Sirius!" She breathed, the word startled yet soft.

Her blue eyes tried to stay fixed upon him as his massive form shuffled over and around her, confusion clear in her expression. Generally when the warlord of Ashen was this wound up, there was a huge problem. However she did not worry for pack sickness or an intruder or a murder when he reacted in this way instead of guarding the door or rushing her out somewhere to safety. "Sirius, why.. are you sniffing me?"

Sirius as her husband may crash any of Zee's threads.

Zee has a rough scaled bush viper companion as well as a toucan, who unless otherwise stated can assume to not be present.
During combat, Zee wears a wrapping of thorns around her kudu horns.

He didnt stop until he had inspected every inch of her, and his deep breaths subsided as his panic finally began to slip away. He nipped her possesively on the back of her neck, as through in defiance of that voice inside of him that said he was the greatest danger to her.

He pulled away, and would see she was looking at him expectantly, and remembered she had asked a question of him. He gave a noncommittal grunt, uncertain how to approach her questing eyes with something that sounded even vaguely sane.
"I needed to ensure you where unharmed. I thought... never mind, you are well." He said, which told her pretty much nothing. He settled in beside her, eyeing up the gift she had been making. He was much to restless now to sleep, wound up and agitated by the nightmare that had plagued him.

"The blanket, is it a gift?" He asked. There was only one person Zee would work tirelessly on a gift for. He sought a chance in subject, even if it did remind him of Deathbelle - but if he had harmed the Empress he would know by now... wouldnt he? It didnt pass his attention that it was to Zee he had run as through hell hounds where on his tail.
