Location 3: Soulless Forest (South)

The silent forest is known to be a place of pure solitude. When one steps foot into the thick vegetation, it’s as if the forest owns them, body and soul. Perhaps it feels like a reprieve from the smoke and ash that still lingers so close to the volcano, but for some it might end up feeling just as repressive.. or even more so. Recently, there have been reports of shadows skittering around under the brambles and foliage. Even in a place that feels so somber and lonely, are you truly alone?

Tornjak is right to hate the heat. His coat is way too thick for this! He tries to adjust his fur to cool off, but ends up licking at his fur too much. Tornjak gets a hot spot on his butt. Ew...

Rhythm gets a treat!

Sweet old Rhythm braves the forest to look for hidden treasure. Her instinct leads her well and right to 50 gems! Now that’s a pretty penny! (Added to Credits)

Bourbon gets a trick!

Bourbon enters the forest and the shadows are quick to get underfoot. No matter how Bourbon tries, he just can’t catch one! Because of this, he loses 15 hunting skill points and a little confidence in his ability to hunt.

Brandr is feeling gutsy or maybe the poor guy just got lost...





Brandr gets a treat!

Brandr, feeling gutsy, pushes forward into the forest. The shadows skitter around and Brandr decides to follow them. They lead him to a mass under the vegetation. What could it be? As the tiny shadows disappear, Brandr pulls the object from the brush, finding a Large Accessory! Maybe the shadows aren’t malicious after all...

Priscilla adventures through the forest. Shadows ebb in and out of her vision. They can’t hurt her… right? Maybe not, but something takes a hearty nip at her rump, leaving it bleeding steadily. She might need to get that looked at!

Eir is ready for facing what the forest has to offer. She is in!

Eir braves the forest and the shadows don’t take kindly to the intruder. They fling themselves at her from all directions. No matter how she tries, she just can’t shake them! Eventually she is chased away and loses 15 fighting skill points!

Ramesh thinks this place is fine, its just trees, right?

Ramesh isn’t scared! The shadows must just be the trees, right? Well there is one shadow that definitely ISN’T a tree, but there still must be an explanation for it, right? When Ramesh goes to investigate it, he finds a large accessory!

Motif is scared, and she has every reason to be. The shadows sense her fear and it empowers them. They spook poor Mo so bad, she falls into some brambles and gashes her right foreleg. Hopefully there’s a healer nearby!

Riva is worried people might get hurt, she sticks around the dangerous places

Riva is worried others might get hurt, but didn’t expect to become a victim herself! As she moves about, looking out for others to heal, she takes a tumble and bashes her snout into a tree. How do you stop a bloody nose again?

Deathbelle follows Luce and Bourbon into the woods




Deathbelle gets a treat!

Deathbelle trails her two packmates for some time. While they battle the shadows, something catches the alpha’s eye. It’s 75 gems! What luck! (Added to Credits)

Erys finds himself in the forest




Erystotle gets a trick!

Erystotle finds himself in the forest and the forest finds him as well. He finds himself caught in the foliage! The more he fights it, the tighter it seems to grow! Eventually the forest grows bored of him and he escapes, battered and bruised from his struggles.

Noir goes into the forest. The shadows follow him and pick at him. One by one they loot him until they’ve stolen 30 gems from him! Get back here!

Poem is not excited to follow




Poem gets a trick!

Poem follows and the spirits give her the same treatment, lifting gem after gem off of her until they get 30 gems from her and leave. Happy forest spirits!

Thoth walks the forest




Thoth gets a treat!

Thoth makes his way through the forest, helping those in need. Because of this, he gets some great healing experience and 15 healing skill points to go along with it!

Velvette wanders the woods, finding small stashes of gems along the way. When she exits, she’s 75 gems richer than when she entered. I wonder if some of those were Noir’s and Poem’s gems... (Added to Credits)
