Valdís still wasn't sure how high up in the rankings she wanted to go. She realized she didn't care as much for diplomacy as she'd originally thought and many of her ideas of how to go about it would likely class with Chaos. He had his own unique ruling style and she wasn't sure she could compliment it. Personally she was thinking the lead warrior might be a better place for her but if she were to pursue it she needed to get back in shape.
Finding a nice spot to start a spar in the palmetto wash she tipped back her head and howled, curious to see if she could attract a challenger.

Maybe she was pushing herself too hard. Poem’s fur had been cleaned but all of the recent fighting she’d been through showed through her disheveled fur too well. She pushed forward still, she was determined to keep going. She wanted to beat Sirius. She was too loyal to her word to try and challenge him for her freedom, this was part of their deal. She would train under him for the allotted time. One day she would win more than she lost though. Poem was determined to show him she wasn’t weak.
The young Destruction made her way to the call, this time the voice was older and female. She was obviously not family, but she had to guess she was from Legion by her scent. Poem approached quietly, she tried to hide how tired she felt. She had to keep going and had to push through. ”I accept your challenge.”

Valdís waited patiently as she waited for an answer to her call. Tension ran lightly through her body as she kept her senses peeled for an approaching wolf. While most wolves were polite enough to make their presence known before engaging in battle she had had experience with opponents trying to get the drop on her.
Her call was answered by a yearling with a rather imposing figure. She dipped her head in greeting. "Very well." She set her defenses and charged forward, her body lowering as she twisted her head sharply to her left, jaws wide as she sought to snag the girls left wrist in a crushing grip.

Poem and her sister both inherited their father’s full height, and the young Destruction was developing into an impressive woman. She shifted easily into a defensive position as her opponent brought the battle to her. Valdis charged, but her attack was aimed low. Poem wasn’t caught unawares, and the girl twisted and hopped out of the way of the Legion woman’s teeth. Aiming to position herself behind the woman as she raced past the young Destruction opened her jaws and aimed to snap them down on Valdis’s tail as her pretty white paw went to swipe at the woman’s rear legs to trip her up.

Her target moved and Valdís quickly shifted to follow. She was an experienced warrior and knew that attacks rarely landed exactly as one expected if they landed at all. She'd need to stay on her toes and keep after the younger woman. She wasn't going to stand still and let the yearling circle around behind her. Instead she pivoted to follow, keeping her tail out of reach of the woman's jaws. With a powerful burst from her hind legs she sought to dig her fangs into the girls thigh to draw blood and slow her down a bit. She quickly tucked her tail and set the rest of her defenses to minimize targets as she fought.

Poem remained focused, she couldn’t think about her predicament, only that she needed to get out. She would hold true to her word, but the better she was the sooner she would beat Sirius at his own game. The yearling Destruction didn’t let her eyes leave the other woman, and her own limbs were ready to spring as Valdis pivoted and returned the attack. Poem tried to dodge again but she was too slow and Valdis caught hold of her though, though not very well. Poem took the opportunity with their closeness to aim her own bite at the woman’s scruff. Already she was faring far better than most spars with her mentor.
