It was early in the day, but it was too nice to remain curled up asleep. She set out early that morning for some water first, and then decided to roam the edges of the borders to check things out. For years she had always been doing something and was quite unused to doing nothing. Despite her old age and her steadily declining mobility, she refused to sit in one spot and become a statue to old age. She wondered if any of the healers in the pack might have something to help ease her joints or at least make it a little easier to move. Shuffling through the trees, she thought she spotted movement up ahead and she tilted her head to peer through the shrubbery. She couldn't quite make out what it was, however, but she swore she heard the distinct sounds of something rubbing itself against the trees. To her, it sounded like something raking its claws down the side of a tree...a mountain cat perhaps? Her fur bristled at the thought and was about to call for help when she spotted the pale fur and small form of a pup. Her mouth clicked closed and she gazed, bewildered at what she saw. Although she had seen many strange things in her life, she didn't think she'd seen one as odd as this child. She seemed to have feline paws, fangs peeking out from her lips, and...ram horns? Or at least, some sort of horns that certainly weren't normal to their own species. She had yet to really meet any of Acere's children, let alone the other children...she'd been far too tired and limited during the winter season, but now she was feeling more active. The child stopped what she was doing and peered around the tree at her, earning a sweet smile from the old woman. "Hello, young one. You must be one of Acere's daughters. What's your name?"
