Bloodshed
While Zee felt she was improving her skills, it had not escaped her notice that she'd not won a single fight (ignoring the pups spars, of course) since her first fight with Hari seasons ago. It probably didn't help that her main partner was Sirius, whom she was convinced was the strongest wolf in the lands. She'd gone to the battlefield a few times previous, but had been beaten each time. This time she swore she'd not let anyone get the upper hand on her. She wore her thorn wrappings around her horns - finding need to move the armor from her legs so wolves like Sirius would stop grabbing them for leverage - and her viper companion curled around her neck hidden in the thick fur there. She approached a clear area, nose wrinkling at the stale scent of bloodshed and gore. Lifting her head high she howled out a challenging song to anyone who might be listening. Any combatant would do, the new queen just needed some more practice and badly. As Banshee continued to attend lessons from her mentors she was finding the training slightly addicting. Ambition had been ignited within her and the flame was strong. Learning how to use her elongated fangs as well as her new companion. Banshee had managed to befriend a Spitting Cobra she found out west and they had become rather close. It was an odd give and take type of relationship. As a large predator she provided the snake some sort of protection while he did the same for her in a much more sneaky way. Not many would dare confront a 50" long venomous Cobra. But, what truly drew her in was his odd coloration. He was rippled with the same ailment her family was, albinism. Along his body were stripes of albinism that gave Vex a very unique look. Ban's own father was partially albinistic. Perhaps it was chance or even meant to be. As Banshee consumed the battle cry the babe lifted herself from her resting spot. A rush of excitement filled her as she carried her youthful form towards the battlefield. The summoner was a familiar Wolf. Zeitgeist was Banshee's very own Queen. Well, a Queen governed by Ban's aunt. The earthy toned gal was once a servant but somehow managed to grab a crown. Thoughts of mild disdain filled the yearling's mind. It was impressive to see someone climb the ranks. But, she couldn't help but to think the reason was her romantic affiliation with Sirius. If it weren't for that would she hold a crown? Or would she be serving us meals? Banshee quickly tossed aside her negative thoughts as she arrived. It was time to fight. Tooth and claw did not yield to social status. Upon arriving Vex moved from Banshee's shoulders to the ground. He was a rather big Snake and it was added weight the yearling did not need. He moved to coil at her side, about three tail lengths away, to be at the ready. She would prefer to not have to have him help her in the fight, but if things got dicey.. he was there. - A grin slipped across the Klein's lips as she stared at the horned femme. "My Queen." Little emotion came across as she spoke. The words held no venom nor favor. The taller fae rolled her shoulders and lapped her tongue along her upper teeth idly. "On your move." It would be rude to not let her superior go first.

To her surprise, Zee was not the only member of Ashen's empire wandering the battlefield. It was good to see their medic working to hone her skills as well, although she'd not chosen the role of warrior. Sirius would be proud of his charges, if he could leave the den to see their progress. It had been a long while since her battlefield opponents had been a different pack wolf, and Zee took that to mean the other packs of this land were lazy and sloppy and not fighters. Time and time again she'd come to this field and seen Ashen wolves showing their strength, and this time would be no different. "Banshee." She greeted kindly. She'd remembered when the yearling attended Lucretia's healing training and the then-pup had not been gracious about it. Had she grown up since then? The other woman instructed Zee to move first and the new queen simply nodded her response. She waited a beat to ensure Banshee was ready, and then leaped forward to cross the distance between them. Her speed gave her the upper hand in most fights, and Banshee was much larger then she was although not fully grown. She'd aim to close the distance quickly to catch the other woman off guard, head tilted downwards sharply so that the deadly horns atop her skull were directed towards the larger wolf's chest. At the same time her paw would lift in an attempt to grab upon the other's foreleg. If she could keep Banshee still it would be easier for her to use her close range weaponry to her advantage. War drums thrummed in the yearling's ears as her heart raced. Excitement and adrenaline swirled within her veins to create a potent recipe for carnage. Suddenly the Queen was charging at her with a set of thorny spiral horns. Banshee's defenses, that she had studied and practiced many times, were locked and loaded. Hackles elevated, knees and elbows bent, weight balanced, ears flattened, eyes narrowed, and lips curled upward. Despite Zee's sudden charge Ban was ready for action. The yearling dashed to the (Banshee's right) side to avoid the deadly horns at the last moment but the Queen's grappling paw tripped her up slightly. With a stumble from Banshee, Zee managed to hit Banshee's chest with a shoulder but the yearling thankfully avoided a stab wound or two. A pang of pain was met with the impact but Banshee's adrenaline managed to hide it for the time being. As their distance was now closed Banshee aimed a bite towards Zee's right. Elongated fangs sought purchase at the thick of the Alpha's scruff in order to pierce into the thick roll of skin. As Banshee did so her right paw raised and aimed to quickly smash down on Zee's left paw in hopes to pin the limb to the ground and decrease the smaller Wolf's mobility. Her horns did not hit their mark and Zee threw her head sharply back as Banshee's change of position became apparent. While the mutations were deadly and proved her greatest advantage, the queen did not wish true harm on the young Klein and without the ability to clearly see the yearling's positional shifts it was too difficult to use them effectively while being safe and avoiding a maim. Banshee aimed a bite upon Zee's neck and the alpha did little to dodge the attack. She knew her viper lay curled within her thick scruff awaiting the right moment to strike. Banshee's paw came down upon her own and the smaller wolf dug her claws into the dirt for traction, knowing with the weight difference she'd be hard pressed to force it's release. At the same moment she felt the elongated fangs pierce her scruff and her jaws parted in pain from the combined attacks, her lips scrunching in a snarl. It was that moment the viper unwound itself from her neck, moving quickly to try and strike it's fangs upon the yearling's tender snout. Her hope was that the sudden strike might cause Banshee to break from her in panic. In anticipation the new queen aimed to reach around Banshee's right side while the two were still locked together, hoping to grab the yearling by her own scruff and with the help of her companion try to get a favorable grip. Banshee felt her hefty fangs sink into the flesh of her mighty Queen. But that did not mean the fight was concluded. As the metallic taste of blood filled her senses and her paw made purchase the flash of a Viper that was not her own caught the yearling's eye. Panic surged within her chest as Ban parted from her bite and whipped her head away from the Snake. The opposing Viper managed to bite Ban's scruff instead. Blood would dribbled from the point as the yearling's heart raced and her eyes narrowed. Zee then went in for a bite of her own which was pointed at Ban's right and landed upon the thick of her scruff. Pain seethed through her body but the energetic and adrenaline pumped gal would not give up just yet. Maintaining her breathing and defenses the yearling would try her next move. Banshee would dig her hind paws into the earth and attempt to launch her front half upward. Two front legs aiming to wrap her opponent into a Bear hug. Ban's two front paws would try to slam down upon Zee's upper back. Hopefully with their size different Banshee could push her opponent downward, but this was all dependent on her opponents ability to maintain her grip on Ban's scruff.
