Blood smeared her muzzle as Natha tore into the flesh of the deer. It had been a lucky find. She'd seen the doe collapse, its breathing labored and peppered with coughs. Respiratory illness seemed to be going around the deer population which was a bit surprising for summer but with ash from the volcano still lingering in the air she couldn't say it was all that surprising.
Of course, she hadn't been the only one to notice. Her ears twitched as she head the call of coyotes in the distance. If she counted right it seemed like a group of four were headed her way. Crap, she'd only just gotten the hide out of the way and she quickly started snarfing meat as fast as she could. Natha was a passable fighter but she hated being outnumbered. Now if she had at least one ally that would be a different story.

South was the destiny for Eir today, still lurking for another place to move she was on the task of exploring all the lands available and evaluating their chances of supporting a pack of Lirim's size. And there she padded, with those cyan eyes scrutinizing the horizons, taking note of everything there was. But soon, the smell of blood floated to her nostrils. Apparently from a deer. Slowly she approached, with that serious expression of hers. Steps were confident but silent, ears perked up and narrowed eyes. And at the distance, a pack of coyotes surrounded a lynx. A lynx guarding its kill. She could just walk away and keep with her quest, but she didn't want to let someone die in such an unfair situation. She speeded up, raising her tail and hackles in threatening manner. Quickly she placed herself between the feline and the coyotes. Snarling she stood with no intention of backing off. If they wanted a fight, they would get one. "Hello" | 'Thoughts' | 'Your speech' |

The chorus of coyote calls was growing louder and Natha did her best to eat faster. Already there were crows starting to amass, also content on eating from the kill. Crows she could tolerate, coyotes she could not. They would chase her off the kill well before she was able to fill her belly and that wouldn't do.
And then the coyotes were there. Four of them moving swiftly towards her, their hackles raised. Shit, shit, and double shit. She placed herself over the kill, her fur on end and a low, eerie yowl of warning slipping from her throat as she tried to make herself look as big as possible. It was then that a wolf suddenly appeared between her and the coyotes. A potential ally?
She leapt over the deer to stand next to the wolf. "If you help me with these coyotes, I will gladly share my kill." She didn't get the chance to hear an answer as the coyotes attacked, two diving toward the strange wolf and two more for her. The male coyote dove for her throat but with a deft leap Natha leapt over the first coyote and landed on the back of the second, the force of the impact shoving it to the ground.

The coyotes started to approach with malicious intentions. But bad for them that Eir wasnt one to contract fear quick, instead she wouldn't run, even if the numbers weren't by on her side. Lips curled, to show ivory daggers, ready to be put in use and the wolf wouldn't mind ripping off their fresh with them. "If you help me with these coyotes, I will gladly share my kill." She silently nodded before the Coyotes launched themselves forward them. One of them darted toward her, jumping and aiming for her scruff, quickly she turned and with widened jaws, for then catch the smaller canine by the neck with her fangs, and simultaneouslyjerk her head to cause heavy damage. She snarled and as the other coyote went to get her. She runs forward, head-on. And quickly she attempted to crash her chest against their body. Hopefully, their size difference could make her move more effectively. "Hello" | 'Thoughts' | 'Your speech' |

With the coyote flailing beneath her Natha set her jaws into the ugly little beast's neck, but she wasn't able to keep her hold long as the other coyote barreled into her. Its fangs grasped her scruff, right in front of her shoulder blades as the duo went tumbling hard to the ground. Natha twisted her head around and dug into the coyotes right shoudler while at the same time lifting her forearms and wrapping them around the base of the coyotes neck. The two tussled and fought until a forceful kick from her hind legs sent the coyote flying off her. She quickly got to her feet but the duo she was battling seemed to have had enough. They whimpered and cried before slinking off, deciding the kill was not worth the price of injury.
Natha turned to see how the wolf was doing, unaware that the kill had not only attracted coyotes but a very large, very hungry grizzly bear.

Eir was having fun, after all, it passed some time since she fought something like this. Last time was against a lioness, and if you asked her, she would say it was fun and highly entertaining. And thus, she felt she was just starting this one. And thus with lots of euphoria she kept brawling the coyotes, not giving them a break. But as they fleet away she stopped. Turning at her battle mate. "Are you okay?" She asked calmly, with her cyan eyes darting at theirs. But soon a smell was caught. A grizzly's. "Well, we are far from done. A grizzly is close." She commented as with narrowed eyes she stared around. And in fact, a female bear, young but still twice their size, approached. It stared at them as they came closer with no intention of leaving. Natha nodded at the wolf's concern. "Yea, it's not deep." She'd survived much worse but it was still unfortunate. At the mention of the word "grizzly" Natha's ears flicked back and she turned her head to see the massive bear heading right for them. "Unbelievable. I guess when it rains it pours." She grinned at the wolf then turned her head and dove toward the bear, her fur on end as she let loose a screeching yowl that ended in a hiss. Startled, the bear took a step back then rose up on its hind legs and leg out a ferocious roar. Natha stood her ground, waiting to see what the bear would do. She didn't have to wait long before the bear dove down, its jaws aiming for her skull.
Natha was quick and slipped to the side, bounding toward the bear's back leg where she quickly took a flying leap and landed across the creatures hips, her claws and fangs digging in deep.

A small smile came upon her lips upon the cat's words. It was good that they could endure wounds like those. She always respected those that as her would take on wounds and keep them with peace. Herself was good with injuries, she was born and raised to endure those. And here she was now, in her path to become a warrior.
"Unbelievable. I guess when it rains it pours." "Indeed," She narrowed her eyes upon the huge beast that approached their way. A bear wouldn't intimidate her. This wasn't the first time she faced a much bigger predator. She remembered the lion's day with the stranger that helped her. Hackles rose as she took her time to come out with a tactic. Bears were slower than a lion, but with stronger blows. But then her companion went forward for the attack. She nodded and went to the attack. Running around the bear, wanting to spot a good place to attack. The bear was distracted with the feline, see she would take that to her advantage. Quickly she ran and landed a strong bite upon the bear's left hind leg. And quickly she would move her head to the sides furiously. Wanting to cause a lot of damage.

The bear flailed beneath her as the lynx did her best to hold on. The bears massive claws reached back trying to swat at her but she was back just far enough to stay out of reach. The bear suddenly bounded forward as it felt Eir's fangs on its hind legs. It twisted and thrashed until finally Natha had to let go. She flew off the bear, her back twisting as she shifted to make sure she landed feet first. Nata steadied herself as the bear turned its attention to the wolf. At that moment Natha sprang forward again, this time raking her claws sharply across the bears bum. It let out an indignant roar and swirled around beginning to chase Natha who bounded away. She moved swiftly, her large paws making it easier for her to move across the terrain as she kept just out of reach of the bear.

Blood painted her maw and chin as she managed to cause a wound on her targeted region. But she knew it was far from over and as the beast turned to fight her she ran to her left as fast as her legs allowed her to go. Eyes of green narrowed and ears pinned. Hackles were high as she felt the adrenaline flood her veins, a sensation she slowly started to enjoy. And thus with no fear she ran around, taking advantage of her smaller and quicker movement, unlike the giant's slower moves. Soon her partner sank her claws on its butt. Driving its attention to it, and that gave a chance for the wolf to attack. Quickly she ran forward and would land a bite on the other back leg of the bear. Her plan was to slowly start to slow their attacker. And blood loss, and for that, she would bite and then jerk her head to the sides. Hopping to rupture their skin. The bear let out a pain filled roar and Natha risked a glance over her shoulder to see that Eir was digging into one of the bears hind legs. It whirled around to get after the wolf and Natha quickly followed suit. She quickly twisted around and bounded for the bear, taking a great leap as she landed on the back of its neck. Her arms wrapped around as she dug her claws in as well as her fangs. The bear roared again and tried to swat her off. It flailed and thrashed until at last Natha had no choice but to let go. Once again she landed on her feet and turned to face the bear which was eying the both of them and taking a few steps back. Had it finally learned?

Her bloodstained maw sank deep onto its fresh and almost reaching its bones. She wasn't going to let go this time, as she was determined to make it run. But soon she released her grasp, taking away her bloodied fangs and running back to stand beside the feline. Challenging eyes staved into the bear's, with no sign of fear, of seeing back. Eir was someone who no one could intimidate, one no one will see defeated not even at death's door. Nothing ever made her give up. And with confident posture, head tall and an intense expression, she dared the bear to keep messing with them. Winkled maw to show her fangs full of blood. But then the bear turned away and ran. Disappearing into the distance. "Huh," She sat down to try catching her breath. She felt good with herself, she along the Lynx defeated someone much larger than both of them. She looked at the feline. "Thank you," She said bowing her head slightly. "Name's Eir Ragnarok, Armigeri of Lirim." She introduced herself as she saw it fit. "Hello" | 'Thoughts' | 'Your speech' |

Natha let out a sigh of relief as the bear turned and left. Thank goodness! She bounded back over to the kill and began to stuff her face, pausing just long enough to look over at Eir. "Like wise! I couldn't have done it without your help. My name is Natha of nowhere in particular. You're welcome to the kill if you like." She grinned then started eating again, putting the name and pack name to memory. Natha was pretty much full but she ate a little extra just in case. The long exploration she'd been doing of the north sapped her stores of energy.
When she was finished she cleaned her face and stood. "Maybe we'll run into each other again. You take care now."
