Hari was turning out to be quite the adventure buddy, relaxed enough that he had no qualms about the choice of land to explore nor the protective nature of Sirius that caused him to worry for Zee's life every time she stepped paw too far away from him. Originally it was planned to have her husband accompany her on her goal to see each island, though with the pups at home now she'd needed to leave him behind to take care of them. Harbringr was her next best choice, and the two set off to take over explore the world. Atlantis Island by some was rumored to not even exist, it's mists cloaking the land during specific times of the day. Zee had passed by it before coming to Ashen's Empire, and it stayed forefront in her mind as one of the places she insisted she'd explore. At first glance it seemed almost as if he had no entrance, it's towering cliffs so tall and treacherous that to try and climb over into the bowl might seem foolish. It took them some time, but at last they'd found the way in and stepped into the lush forest that hid behind the cliff face. "It's beautiful." She murmured softly to her traveling partner. "Speech"

Mist shrouded the mysterious island and cast a haze about the sky. Harbringr peered up at the sky and frowned. He planned to keep a weather eye out since he was traveling with Zee and he didn't appreciate having his view obstructed. However, as far as he could tell the weather was still clear and sunny.

It had taken some time and careful planning for the pair to work their way up the rocky cliffs and down into the lush forests that made up the main part of the island. He grinned. "It really is! I'd say that was worth the climb, eh?" Hari took a deep breath as he finished his resting before moving deeper into the forest, his nose to the ground investigating scents.

The climb was definitely a rough one, and Hari barely took a moment to rest afterwards. She laughed softly, sprinting after her exploring partner. "Hey, not all of us are so fit, you know!" Luckily their pace could easily be kept light and easy, and truthfully Zee didn't want to stop and rest when there was a lush forest to explore. Her ears pricked forward and she looked up at the forest canopy as Hari took the lower path investigating the scents. Birdsong called down to them, though she couldn't put her paw on what species they were. It seemed almost as if this island was a different world entirely. "I think that's a volcano." She directed her nose towards the mountain that stood in the middle of the forest. "I didn't know there was one on this side of the world."

Harbringr chuckled as he continued exploring the land. The soil here seemed to be pretty rich and lush with plant life. He felt his stomach drop when Zee mentioned 'volcano'. He gazed down into the bowl of the island and shuddered for a moment before nodding. "Yea, I think you're right. We're standing right in the mouth of a volcano. I mean it's surely dormant though, right?" If it was still active there wouldn't have been so much life here. At least he hoped.

The weather was still good. The sun was warm and unobstructed this far west and the sky still remained a nice clear blue. He couldn't feel a breeze but that didn't mean there wasn't one. With the rocky area surrounding the island most of the wind generated from the difference in air temperature between the air and ocean wouldn't be felt.

Zee looked briefly concerned as she met Hari's gaze, but he mentioned it must be dormant and it was logical to think so. "Yeah, well the eastern volcano was dormant too." Her voice took on a hushed tone, as if speaking too loud might make it explode at their feet. Was it warm? Was she imagining her paws heating up? Her tail flagged, and she hopped along away from the mouth's center. Aside from the towering volcano the island otherwise was a beautiful and mystical place. The way the trees were shrouded in mist, the cliffs all around them. This was a place a wolf could go to escape the world and their troubles - and maybe their life, should the volcano decide it's time of rest was done. "Alright, I can't stop thinking about lava and fire and death." She admitted with a hesitant chuckle. "Onward.. to the next? I wouldn't look very good with charred fur." Unfortunately to leave they'd need to scale the cliff wall again, but Zee couldn't imagine stopping to sleep in a place where she might never wake up should nature decide it.

Yeah, well the eastern volcano was dormant too.

"Touché…" Harbringr didn't want to admit it but a certain nervousness settled in his stomach and was starting to make it churn. He could just see the westward volcano blowing up next though hopefully if it hadn't erupted already it wasn't going to. The tremors and quakes from Mount Volkan surely would've disturbed it if it were active. At least he hoped.

"Yea, same. Let's get the hell out of here." He cast one more glance skyward, the bright blue sky clear and lovely and seeming to contrast so sharply with the fear that was threading itself through his system. He should've cherished the sky that Mount Volkan had tried so hard to blot out but being so close to another dormant volcano only filled his thoughts with fire and ash.
