Things in the pack had been quiet lately, but they likely wouldn't be once they got moving with the raids. He needed to start training the younger ones, especially since some of the warrior members were no longer around. Fracture had abandoned the pack along with some others...namely Tyranis & Heloise. While Dragon & Cloudburst came when they could, he didn't expect them to be around too often considering their current duties to Hjarrandi. Still, he was glad they came around to help when they could. Avalon was busy with her new family, and he had his paws full preparing to get things moving soon enough. He waited eagerly for Drifa to return with Theory's answer to his proposal, and somewhat hoped she would take them up on it. If she didn't? Well...there was nothing he could really do about it. Both packs could come away with benefit to what he was proposing, but she was still young and inexperienced yet. Part of him wished Shaye was still around to talk to about it, but alas...
Moving through the trees, he set about gathering items to piece together some things for his kids. No doubt they wanted to hone their skills sooner rather than later, and he decided a lesson plan would be beneficial for them. His own armor lied beneath a tree not too far from him, and next to it were a bunch of scraps of different pelts to test and see what would fit and work for what he had in mind.

Orca was still upset over them agreeing to fight Abaven, their friends; she’d practically stormed off from the meeting and afterwards had spent the night dragging a deer back to Song to make some armor. Orca did not want to fight anyone in Abaven, most of all Beat, but she also wanted to go maybe just to see it for herself. There was little reason for her not to trust her father at his word, but Orca couldn’t help but feel unsettled by his announcement at the meeting. She needed to be present, even if it meant fighting her friends….if she even fought them.
Orca wandered through the forest, not caring to wipe the blood from her pelt as she did so. The blood was not hers; to the contrary, it was from the deer. She’d worked with Song tirelessly to make it perfect for her to wear, and she couldn’t wait for it to be cured and dried out for her to actually wear. As she was walking, the familiar form of her dad would come into view and the youth would stop, ears falling back momentarily. Her companion on the other hand, did not stop, only gave a shake of his head and continued on his way. Huffing softly, she followed, closing the gap between her and her father, as she neared, she’d woof softly, to announce her and Knox’s presence. Orca watched him curiously, noting the objects he was collecting. What were they for?

Engrossed in his thoughts about what he had to do, he almost didn't notice his daughters presence. A grim line had plastered itself on his face, and had pretty much stayed there since the meeting. He didn't doubt that his children and many of the pack were unhappy with him, but from experience, he knew that an alpha would always be criticized for one thing or another. Even though it was in Winterfell's laws and customs to raid, it seemed that others still acted surprised by it. His children were still hurting from Heloise's abandonment, and so was he. Perhaps this was one way he was trying to fill that hole she had left behind...
As the alabaster titan turned around to grab a piece of leather, it was then that he spotted Orca there. He stilled for a moment, surprised and caught off guard at her presence. He paused what he was doing but didn't say anything for a long moment. Had she come across him by accident? Did she come to yell at him about raiding Abaven? Did she come to say how much she hated him? So many things ran across his mind that he wasn't sure what to do or say. "Orca...do you need something?" She wasn't bothering him by any means of course, but with her obvious anger during the meeting he wasn't sure what to expect from her.

There was a long silence as Orca closed the gap between her and her father, perhaps he didn’t know what to say? She was still angry with him, but curiosity overrode her anger for the moment. She peered closer at the leather he had been about to pick up, before looking at her dad with her head cocked to the side. His words finally came and she shrugged, she didn’t need anything she’d been just wandering around while waiting for her deer hide to be done. “Song is teaching me how to make armor. I want to go on the raid with you.” She’d finally say, though truth be told, she didn’t want to fight her friends, but the more she thought about it, that feeling just wouldn’t go away. She needed to go.
“Can you teach me to fight?” Song was teaching her about armor, she had her physical defense taken care of and with Knox by her side, she would be safe….if he was being honest about it just being for training. She was still young, however, and her experience in fighting was….lacking…to say the least. If anything, her only fighting experience had been when she had fought Knox and his mother with Acere.

Her words caused his brows to shoot up in surprise, the white giant falling into silence for a long moment when she asked if she could go raiding with him. Of all the members in the pack, she was the one that he least expected to go considering her anger towards the idea. He didn't miss the part where she said Song was teaching her about armor, which was a good thing. He had been so busy and focused on this whole ordeal (and stressed to hell) that he had been neglecting their training. Finally, when his shock and surprise began to subside, he answered her.
"Are you sure?" The raid against Abaven would be of least concern, he hoped. The one against the other pack, however, he wasn't sure what to expect. He hardly knew much about them. He couldn't predict what exactly would happen whereas Abaven was more predictable since he had lived among them before. "I can teach you how to fight, if you're sure." He would teach her anything and everything she wanted to know, and if she wanted to learn how to fight then he would certainly do it. While he feared his children getting hurt, he wouldn't coddle them and confine them to their dens for the rest of their lives just so they would stay safe and unharmed. Though he also wouldn't throw them into situations he didn't think they'd be able to handle like he had been forced to do.
He waited for her answer while he mulled things over.
