He’d ventured far from Valhalla—further than he’d ever gone, truth be told. Curiosity, an urge to see what he might find…. Hope that maybe one of the things he’d find was his missing brother. Geoff was nowhere to be found here, though, and Cairo ambled through the strange shapes and stones—relics of a long-vanished race.
He didn’t hurry about his way—Aurielle had essentially thrown him out for a day or two to explore the world. She’d noticed that he rarely ventured from the pack territories, and so, the mother bird had thrown the reluctant chick from the nest.
It wasn’t that he was reluctant to explore the world—he was interested in seeing what was out there. It was that Valhalla only had so many members around to keep it defended, and he wanted to train.
He paused, bending to examine a lump of something glittery and blue at his paws. It looked a bit like Regulus’ pendant.

It didn't take long for the yearling to swim to the island. The old stone and metal structure in the distance drawing her in as she went. Four sturdy paws finally made it to the sandy shores and lifted her sopping went form from the salt water. Wet fur sling to her now shapely bodice even as she gently shook out. Water flung in all directions but she remained extremely damp nonetheless. It didn't bother her much as she moved towards the odd structures with wide blue eyes. Banshee assumed they were ancient dens built by mighty creatures. It felt like she was staring at mystical formations. As the slender babe moved through the overgrowth her eyes fell upon that of another Wolf. He was large but still shorter then herself and painted in mahogany tones. A familiar white tainted his fur beneath and eye and one of his legs. A trait of her family but seemingly many others as well. Torrent had also been partially albino. - Ban swept her wandering thoughts under the rug as she moved closer to the stranger. He had been looking at something in the sand as she stopped a very polite distance from him. Banshee offered a fanged grin as she cocked her head to the side, "Have you found something?"

He glanced up as paw-steps reached his ears. She was a little taller than himself, and he gave her a light, easy grin, bi-chocolate tail waving as he bent to examine the trinket again, dragging at it with a paw into full sight. “I think it’s a necklace.”
He stepped back to let her come closer for a look. It was definitely a necklace, on a silver chain, but the stone was an aquamarine rather than the sapphire Regulus bore. Either way, he was pleased at his find. Something to store away and use in the future, maybe. As a gift or trade item.
“I’m Cairo Adravendi, by the way, Nerve of Valhalla.” His tone was friendly, nearly verging on cheerful. He had to admit, Aurielle was right to kick him out for an adventure.

After eyeing one another up the auburn male turned his attention towards his treasure. With a nudge and a wag of his tail he had exposed what was seemingly a necklace. Such was confirmed right after with his baritone vocals. Banshee took a very polite few steps closer to lay her curious eyes upon the pendant before flicking her attention back towards the stranger. He offered his name, rank, and pack. Valhalla. Ban was aware of the pack but hadn't encountered any of their Wolves. Not that she knew of anyways. It seemed like Ashen and it's Armada were the only packs that were within her radar, perhaps Iroh's home Risen as well. Banshee offered a small smile, exposing the girth of his fully grown fangs, and dipped her head down in a gentle bow. "Nice to meet you, Cairo." The babe raised her head ever so slightly with a small flick of her tail. "I am Banshee Fatalis-Klein, Combat Medic of the Ashen Armada." It had been the first time she formally introduced herself with the dismissal of her mother's surname and the addition of Fatalis. Pride swelled within her despite the obvious fact that this stranger likely didn't know the significance of her names. After a fading moment Banshee tilted her head ever so slightly with a curious look in her eyes, "What does a Nerve do?"

Cai smiled, nodding as she introduced herself in turn. It was a curious name, Banshee, but he cocked his head thoughtfully, as she asked what a Nerve did. As he knew, there was a law against too much information given about Valhalla’s workings, especially when in conversation with a wolf from another pack.
Decidedly keeping it vague, he said, “A Nerve is an apprentice Warrior. I’d like to reach one of our Beta ranks someday, but it’ll be a long while yet. Only the best get such ranks, and I have a lot to learn.”
He was honest, not trying to inflate his ego or impression. To do so would be to lie and give himself false pride, when he truly did have so much to learn before he was any sort of ready to be Sentinel. He hoped Caelia and he would be Valhalla’s next Betas, and he truly looked forward to the thought of working side by side with his sister to keep Valhalla safe, running smoothly, and well trained.
He turned the question back on Banshee as he bent to pick up the necklace, flipping it into the air like a lasso of metal links and ducking to catch it on his muzzle, tipping his head back with a shake to wriggle the thing onto his head and neck. It rode a little high, but it could be fixed later when he got home, surely.
“I take it a Combat Medic is a healer who is also a fighter?” His tone wasn’t a demand for information, and his smile said her answer was fully up to her as he padded forward, offering a walk to the girl as he investigated the island further.
