Rava’s mind raced, even if she managed to calm the erratic beating of her heart she couldn’t do the same with her head. Too much happened. The girl felt humiliated, shamed, and beaten without a physical touch. She kept returning to the worst of the moments, when they’d taken her cloak from her. It was returned and donned now, but as she had been placed on the auction block the forest green cape was stripped from her and she’d been forced to be looked upon naked.

Shame burned over her skin as she followed the wolf that bought her, those terrible thoughts splattered over her fear of the future. Rava didn’t know this man, couldn’t quite figure him out from the way he looked at her. She’d kept her head down and wouldn’t speak unless spoken to.

Clouds covered the sky and as their pace continued the rain began to fall. Rava was thankful for her cloak, it was mostly water proof. Her paws showed how muddy it was, she was covered nearly to her elbows and the edges of her cloak were gathering dirt. Who knew when the next time she would be allowed to clean might be. Less time elapsed than she expected when she was suddenly shoved into a cage.

It was more of a corral, logs were driven into the ground to make a fence that none of its captives would be escaping from. Most of the poor souls inside huddled beneath the small awning at the back right corner. Rava observed from beneath her hood as the gate was shut closed behind her. Fear and defeat obvious in her gaze she slunk closer to the fence and willed herself to disappear.

Whereas most of the other captives may have huddled together for safety, Saia did not. This was the third time that she'd found herself being sold like property. It wasn't because she was a less than satisfactory slave, it was simply because her master either died, or her master couldn't handle her lifelessness any longer. She had been called cold and heartless. There was no warmth in the woman from the north. Having been subject to such an uncouth practice before, the veiled woman sat apart. She sat tall and proud, long ears erect and back straight. One might think she was a statue.

When the brother of her former betrothed was killed in battle, Saia had been snatched up by another high ranking wolf. That wolf had eventually found himself in a dire state and had sold his fine slave for resources. The first time, Saia had been outraged at the way that she had been treated. They had led her out like a calf to slaughter and had staked her to the center of the raised dais so that potential buyers might inspect her. Even then Saia had worn her veils. It had been stressed that she was exotic both the first and the second times and she knew that it would be the same now.

A delicate chain had been wrapped around the grey woman's neck and she had been fastened to one of the bars of the corral. They wouldn't let such merchandise out of their sight. Dusty blue veils hiding vibrant, aqua eyes, the woman awaited the next step in the life of a slave. She could only wonder if her master would be kind or cruel.

The sliph pressed herself against the wood of her cage, unused to physical barriers keeping her contained. The young she wolf held no rebellious thoughts, she obeyed the commands given to her. This uncertainty that held her tightly now weighed more heavily with thoughts of the future. What was going to happen and who would be the one to take her. Did it really matter?

A shiver raced up her spine and the red marked she wolf snuck a glance from beneath her hood. The rain continued to drizzle, enough to keep the ground saturated and the mood was further sombered. A drop fell from the brim and soaked coldly into the fur of her nose as Rava studied her fellow captives.

Most of them looked like her, huddled and hunched to keep the attention away from her. One she wolf did the opposite. Though it rained she sat proudly, chained more tightly than the rest of them. She looked so brave, standing with her decorative banners down the side of her. Dark ears fell to Rava’s head as she sunk back into her cloak. Allowing her envy or adoration to show wouldn’t be appropriate.

Rava didn’t know how long she would be held here, this didn’t seem like the final destination. If there were so many of them captive she had no doubt she would be put on display again. The thought turned her empty stomach. Rava whimpered softly to herself and refreshed her pressure against the pole beside her, terrified of when she’d be drug out of the corral.

Saia sat beneath a sort of overhang. That's why she was chained to the wall; so the merchandise would stay dry and presentable. Preferential treatment just because she would make them more profit than the rest. In reality, Saia believed that she was worth less. There was no emotion in her. She was an empty, albeit pretty, husk. Any one of the cowering, fearful wolves behind her were worth more than she was.

It was the whimper that brought her statuesque sit to an end. Did the slavers have a child here? Curling her long, graceful neck to the side, the slate and stone fae scanned the crowd with shielded blue eyes. She found the smallest of them, her brow furrowing as she noted the cowering figure was also covered in fabric as she as was, though in a slightly different manner. When the hood shifted, Saia noted that the covered wolf wasn't a child, but she still looked rather young.

Though Saia didn't care much for anything, she didn't enjoy seeing others suffer and would do what she could to aid others in need. She couldn't help all of them, but she could do one nice thing for this small, cloaked wolf before all of their lives were ripped out from under them.

"You there," her voice was soft and quiet, but it carried to the woman with the cloak. "Come beneath the awning with me." Surely the slavers would see the wisdom in shielding the small woman from the rain. Just as they wished to keep her veils and jewels in pristine condition, they should wish to keep the woman's cloak dry as well. Saia waited for the woman to draw near. The awning wasn't terribly wide, but it would effectively shield both of them from the worst of the rain.

Rava didn’t have much hope for her future, with mud that caked her fur and the rain that fell on her cloak. This cage was all she could know, and the fear of the unknown weighed heavily on her slender shoulders. She sunk into herself as best as she could, if no one noticed her maybe she would simply disappear into nothing. Silver eyes snapped open as her attempt at not existing was called out.

The voice wasn’t that of a slaver, it was softer than anything she had been given so far. Rava peered out from beneath her hood to take in the regal for that had called out to her. The girl would have rather become the mud at her feet than accept some kind of interest. The star sparkled she wolf looked around, wondering if a guard might halt her movement.

Quietly and tentatively the tiny woman shuffled forward, unable to go against some kind of order. Mud covered black paws brought her forward to the sad excuse for an awning. She pressed herself against the wall behind them, her moon like eyes unable to meet the kind orbs of the veiled beauty. She wondered if she should thank the woman, whose chain made obvious she was no slaver but slave herself.

Rava’s lips parted, but no words came from her. Fear gripped hold tight and she remained quiet, small form pressed against the wooden slats like her life depended upon how close she was. Her whimpering ceased. ”Who are you?” She managed to whisper from beneath the forest green hood that hid her features.

At her call, the small wolf moved tentatively towards her and placed herself between Saia and the wall. The rain would strike her less where she had squeezed herself. The taller of the pair scooted over just a bit, giving the woman more room. At first she didn't say anything, and so the veiled fae kept her silence as well. The words that she'd spoken to beckon her forth were already more than she usually spoke in a day. Eventually though, the cloaked wolf found her voice.

Who was she? Well... that was a loaded question. She had been a princess of Shibari. She supposed that was no longer the case, considering her fall into slavery. Well... it was more of a push than a fall. She was then the slave of the Raiman Empire. When her master was slain, she was then the slave of Hoh, then the slave of another that was short lived. Finally she had been the slave to Mercutis. He had sold her to this market where she would then be sold again. Whatever bastard bought her would soon sell her as well. Though she was pretty and was seen as a prize, she brought ill fortune to all that owned her.

"Saia," she eventually spoke, her tone smooth and soft, like the brush of silk. "And you?" She cast her glance sidelong, looking at the cowering fae. Her cloak was muddied at the edges, but it would most likely wash out. If they let her keep it, anyway. Often the slaver took whatever belongings their merchandise seemed to possess. Saia was an exception since her adornments served to heighten the exotic allure that brought them high prices.

A call from outside of the enclosure caught her attention. It was a call of preparation. One by one or sometimes in pairs, they would parade the weaklings of the world out for the stronger to purchase. Saia inhaled deeply, closed her eyes, and exhaled long and low. She would be saved for last. If she kept this frightened fae beside her, perhaps she would be saved until later as well once the feeding frenzy was past.

The young woman was new to the slave trade even if her life beforehand was the same. Women were property where she came from and her once husband had every right to sell her to these creatures for profit. She was not the bride he had desired, she was unable to live up to the expectations he’d had of her. By this point he’d likely found another wife to add to his harem. Would she be bought up by another like him? Would history repeat itself and once he realized she was no good to get offspring from..

She tried to rid herself of the thoughts as the woman spoke, her name was Saia. Had rava been allowed an opinion the girl would have thought it a beautiful name. ”Ravat Blanc.” She still held onto her once husband’s last name. ”I like Rava better.” She was normally a silent girl, it was better to be seen than heard. Or not seen as her cloak made possible.

Rava visibly flinched as the sound of voices carried over the fence and through the rain. She cringed further as their huge captors began to make their selections. By ones and twos they were chosen and herded out into the unknown. ”Aren’t you scared?” Rava asked timidly, lowering her head in obvious show of her fear.

The cowering fae gave her name and the barest of smiles lifted the corners of the veiled lady's lips. "Rava it is." Again she went back to sitting tall and staring straight ahead. Once the slavers began choosing which of them to march out, the woman spoke again, asking whether or not she was afraid.

Fear had long ago died in Saia. Just like everything else. "No," she answered simply. "I've been a slave for half of my life. I'm used to this." It was a sad reality, but it was true. Memories of her life in the palace were faint. This was her past, present and future. "But you are afraid." She pointed out the obvious. The slate woman's brow furrowed beneath her blue veils. How could she alleviate this frightened wolf?

Turning her head to the side, she brought herself face to face with the cloaked fae. Cerulean eyes inspected the shadowed face. The woman within the forest cloak was beautiful. Bright silver eyes stared back at her from an ebony and blood face. Her features were dainty and, just like Saia's, her eyes were of an upturned almond shape. From the tail sticking out the rear of the cape, Saia could see that the woman's coloring shifted slightly from dark to pale red.

Saia rose from her seated position, long legs lifting her to her full height. Leaning close to the fence, the veiled lady whispered something into the ear of one of their captors. The brute turned as if to tell her off, but upon meeting her eyes, he rethought his previous plan. After a moment of the pair speaking quietly to one another, the man left and Saia seated herself beside Rava once more. "I suggested that he sell us together." Aside from casting a glance out of the corner of one almond eye, Saia resumed her regal stature.

Rava risked a glance upwards as Saia confessed her lack of fear without hesitation, she continued to explain why. Her life had been filled for the most part, by slavery. Rava would come to know later that it was synonymous to the lifestyle she had previously. The young she wolf was nothing more than a possession, currently between hands. Silver eyes turned downcast again, she pulled her limbs in tight to her torso, to self soothe her anxieties. ”Yes.” Rava whispered in return, unable to deny the obvious. At least before she knew what to expect at the hand of her husband Zakr.

Saia turned her attention towards the speckled girl, instincts told Rava to avert her gaze, but she didn’t hide herself. The veiled slave was the closest she would get to comfort within the corral. Maybe it was their similarities, the way their eyes were shaped and the adornments they wore. As Saia rose, Rava took a hesitant glance up at the confident woman, a diamond in the rough. The girl returned her eyes to the muddy ground, unable to keep her eyes on the other slave. There wouldn’t likely be any retaliation for the act but Rava was much too timid to impose even a lengthy stare.

Fear still held tightly to the young thing, her muscles were tight and the instinct to flee continued to beat against her skull. She didn’t have any idea what Saia could be whispering to the slaver about, of course Rava wouldn’t have dreamed to try and speak to her captors. Frozen in fear as the other woman sat back down the words she spoke were a surprise. Ears slicked back against her skull beneath the hood, shifting it to reveal her confused features. Having a guide going forward, someone to show her the way instead of Rava bumbling around in the unknown. She didn’t know why Saia did it, but she was grateful.

”Thank you.” Her voice was just as soft as it was been throughout the interaction, but her sincerity was apparent. She kept her eyes downcast, hesitant to meet Saia’s gaze.

The rain began to slow, but it was too little, too late. The ground was soaked and the inside of the corral was solid mud that sucked at your paws when you walked. The enclosure was gradually getting less and less full. Rava thanked Saia for her gesture and the veiled lady merely lowered her dark chin in a subtle nod.

Eventually the corral was empty except for the bodies of the two women. The brute that Saia had spoken with returned and came up to the fence to speak with them. He informed the pair of ladies that they had been purchased by a private buyer and were to be held inside until he came to collect them. Unlocking the gate, he gestured for them both to follow.

Saia waited until Rava was on her paws and turned around before she rose. She was unchained from the pole and was led out of the corral. The grey fae kept herself between the cloaked fae and the big slaver. Her pawsteps were delicate and silent, even in the sucking mud. They were brought to a wooden building and were corralled inside, the door shutting behind them. Thankfully the brute had seen fit to remove the collar and chain from her throat before shutting them in.

The floor was dirt, but at least it wasn't mud. Saia chose a spot at the back of the room, smack dab in the center of the wall. "At least we can rest a bit before we learn our fates." With one black paw, she motioned for Rava to come close. They could keep one another warm against the damp chill in the air.

She remained frozen in fear, her form shivering slightly as the cold crept over her. The rain was letting up, but the mud was already everywhere. Rava’s legs were coated. Despite her stillness the young girl’s mind continued to race, her silver eyes glanced at each passing wolf as they were emptied from the corral. She flinched lightly, every time the gates were opened and her heart fell with every sad form that was led away.

Rava tried not to listen as the guard returned, the information wasn’t what the red marked she wolf expected. Even with the terrifying news that she had been sold there was a relief. Rava wouldn’t be put on display again, she wouldn’t be parted with her cloak or from the kind presence that was Saia.

Timidly the cloaked girl moved forward as she was commanded to evacuate the mud pit. The veiled lady waited for Rava to lead the way, and she didn’t miss how the taller fae kept herself between herself and the massive guard. The tiny girl struggled with the quicksand like ground, but they were eventually brought to a smaller building.

Tail tucked between her legs, Rava didn’t hesitate to make her way inside, at least it wasn’t full of mud. Timidly the cloaked she wolf moved forward as Saia invited her closer. Her words held more hope than Rava felt, and she could look on the bright side. They were dry, it was warmer, and they’d have a chance to rest before their future was revealed.

She sank into the space beside Saia, eager for the warmth of the other woman’s body. Fear still held tightly to her tiny form, but she already felt comforted by Saia’s presence. She hadn’t experienced a lot of kindness in her life, her mother, her sisters, her husband’s other wives.. they were all in the same place that she was. No one went out of their way to comfort or to help her before Saia.

”I don’t think I can relax.” She whispered softly, collapsing in on herself as she settled into her desired spot. Who knew when they would be fetched once more, how long would they be here? Where would they go once they were claimed? There was so much uncertainty Rava was barely able to string together coherent thoughts.

As Rava settled down beside her, Saia winced. The small woman's cloak was soaking wet. "You should hang your cloak to dry. We'll most likely be here for a while." Gently, she nosed beneath Rava's chin and unclasped the cloak with her delicate teeth. Taking the cloak lightly away, Saia hung it upon a piece of splintered wood where it would dry.

The slate and charcoal fae turned to move back towards Rava, but stopped in her tracks. The small woman was... stunning. Her coloring was perfection. She looked like a dream to the veiled woman. The varying shades of red lifted and dropped, making it look as though she had been dipped in actual clouds. While the back half of her body was red and clouded, the front was deepest black. Flecks of silver white coated her in starlight. Saia couldn't remember ever having seen a wolf quite so beautiful. Suddenly, she was even more pleased to have saved the woman now. Had the dogs of slavery seen her looks...

Coming back beside Rava, the slender fae curled her body body against her, giving her what warmth she had in replacement for the cloak that she'd taken. Her companion had said that she couldn't relax. Saia could understand being nervous. She had been nervous when she was given away to the Raiman Empire. After that and the abuse that she suffered at the paws of the brother of her formerly betrothed... nothing phased her. She could commiserate with Rava to a degree, but she could no longer feel what the black and red woman felt.

Lifting one foreleg, Saia drew Rava into a half embrace, that long limb draped over the small woman's side. And then she began to hum. The woman who rarely spoke had the voice of a goddess. She had been prized for this voice in the past just as she was now. Soft and low, each note was perfectly pitched. After warming her chords, Saia's lips parted and she sang.

Iceblue shadow
Gliding through the air like wind.
Will you follow
Me when I can't find the way?

Am I wrong now
To hold on to your promised land?
Am I wrong now
To think ingrained believes can stay?

How can I thaw
All the frozen lakes between me and you?
Unless you drown
Unless you drown the way I do.

Bound for nowhere.
Never move until I'm gone.
My reflection.
Unfold it safely in your arms.

Her heart wouldn’t still, the muscle beat erratically within her chest. Every noise that was slightly too loud made her visibly flinch, she faced so much uncertainty and fear in those first few hours of real slavery. Silver marked ears perked in alarm as Saia suggested that she remove her soaked cape. Panic raced through her, but the young girl couldn’t deny an order, even if this one was more of a suggestion. Rava froze as Saia moved to gently remove the wetted cloak from around her dainty shoulders. ”No, don’t…”

Her voice was too soft to be heard as she didn’t put up any kind of fight anyway. As the fabric slipped off of her body she felt the exposure keenly. She shivered lightly as she was rendered vulnerable and Saia’s attention was returned to her. Rava glanced up as the graceful woman was forced to stop, her aqua eyes taking in the girl’s naked form. She lowered her gaze as her cheeks flushed and Saia moved forward.

Rava’s cloudy red tail wrapped tightly around her as she withdrew further into herself, hope was frail in the dainty woman. She inhaled sharply with surprise as the veiled woman curled around her supportively. The girl offered no resistance as Saia wrapped her elegant limb around her. The warmth and truth of her affection stunned the constellation marked girl, against all of her instinct and life experience she let herself relax into Saia’s embrace.

The feeling was completely foreign, not even her blood relatives had shown so much care as this near stranger did in these moments. Despite herself Rava leaned into the embrace. There was little evidence her trust was well founded, but the warmth and kindness was too much to resist. Especially in her vulnerable position.

The girl certainly did not expect Saia’s angelic like voice. Rava had barely experienced affection in her life, but the sudden serenading brought a wellspring of emotion in her. Tears sprang to her silvery eyes and she was overwhelmed as the beautiful song went on. Unable to control her actions Rava buried her features into Saia’s soft fur and cried softly for the direction her life had come.

The discomfort as Saia removed Rava's cloak was obvious, but it would be warmer once it was dry. She would put it back on the woman herself. Having settled down and pulled the black and red woman close, the veiled fae began her song. Not much later, Rava pressed her face against Saia's pale chest and began to sob. The woman wasn't the first that she had moved to tears, but these tears felt different. They were raw and real.

The lithe woman pulled the small fae tighter against her, trying to comfort the crying lady as best as she could. "Shh... it's alright. I'll keep you as safe as I can." Saia continued to try and soothe Rava simply by holding her and letting her release her pent up emotions until they ran dry. She would hold the woman for as long as it took.

After a time, she spoke. "The masters have taken much from me, but I never let them take my pride. My pride and my voice are the two things that belong to me." Saia nuzzled into the top of Rava's head. "Don't let them break you. Even this, you can overcome if you try." She had confidence that Rava could hold a part of herself locked away; a piece that belonged to her alone. That was how you lived in this world. Obey. Do your best to please. Outwardly, give the masters everything that they wanted. But... never give them all of you.

Saia’s song softly trailed off as Rava felt her tears fall, she was pulled tighter and she felt the real sense of comfort and care. They’d met such a short time ago the girl was sure she didn’t deserve the attention from the exotic woman. No one thus far had shown her such kindness before and Rava was easily overrun with strong emotions. The girl’s dark ears were slicked to her skull as Saia attempted to soothe her. She promised that she would protect her as best she could. Rava believed her, and felt herself relax as much as possible in the cage they were placed in.

Rava sniffled softly as she aimed to get control of herself, she couldn’t imagine how foolish she looked. Saia was strong and stable, like a perfectly sculpted statue where Rava felt more like a poorly made pot of clay left out in a downpour. She was weak and vulnerable, but here Saia was offering her unhindered support and comfort. Real affection like Rava had never felt before.

She inhaled softly, unwilling to release her hold on the veiled beauty, she clung to her like a life raft. Despite being de robed Rava felt safer in those moments than she had since before leaving her mother’s teat. Saia spoke again, her speaking voice just as alluring as her song. She had to hold onto herself, she needed to be strong and build up walls within her mind and soul. Rava was just a possession, but she had to cling tightly to her pride and her deeper self.

”You’re so strong.” She whispered softly into the pale fur she remained wrapped in. ”Why are you doing this for me?” Rava certainly didn’t deserve it and Saia didn’t have any reason to put herself in harm’s way for the young slave.

It took a while, but Rava gradually shifted to cling to Saia as well. Long ears erect, the ash and slate woman looked down towards the smaller fae. She held her until the build up of emotion had been expelled and she would continue to hold her after. It wasn't until Rava brought her silver eyes up to meet aqua pools that Saia loosened her grip. She held the woman's gaze and would do so until the moment passed.

Rava spoke, first calling her strong, then asking why she was helping her. The veiled woman furrowed her brow slightly. "I heard you whimper and thought initially that you were a child because of your size. Then I saw your face. The terror..." Giving her head a light shake sent silken fabric hissing slightly. "I remembered how I felt when my father gave me to the enemy. You reminded me of myself." She had been frightened, confused, enraged and a whole other plethora of emotions when her father chose his kingdom over his daughter. The last time that she saw him, he had been staring after her while her mother stood silently beside him, tears flowing down her face. He had simply stared while the Raiman prince drug her from the palace. So yes... she understood some of what Rava was feeling.

Reaching up, Saia unclasped the veil from one side of her face, allowing the fabric to slide to the side so that she could look Rava fully in the face without the barrier. The corners of her charcoal lined eyes were upturned as she searched the smaller woman's starlit face. "I'm strong because I have to be. No one is going to protect me, so I must protect myself. Just as you must protect yourself." She gave her delicate skull a gentle shake. "I'll do what I can for you, but even I won't be able to always be there." She hoped that Rava understood what she was saying. Saia would do everything to aid the new captive, but she, too, was naught but a slave.

Rava was comforted, she was held tightly by the elegant slave and even without her cloak she felt safe. Despite all of the uncertainty that faced her and Saia she could cling to her companion for now. Saia didn’t make any move to release her, but Rava was given enough room to wiggle should she have need. The veiled beauty didn’t hesitate to answer when Rava asked about her motives. Saia’s answer was simple enough, Rava couldn’t argue her resemblance to a child. Their similarities surprised her however.

At one time Saia had been in her position, she hadn’t always been the strong and proud slave that she was right now. She had been in the exact same place as Rava had been. Maybe that was one reason why the girl found it so easy to trust the veiled woman. To allow her close like this, to trust her without her cloak covering her dainty form.

Rava had no one in the world, with her traumatic upheaval of anything she knew, it was easy to cling to Saia. Knowing they were so similar, she could have hope that one day she could have strength similar to the veiled woman. ”I understand.” She offered softly, knowing that she couldn’t count completely on Saia to keep her safe she needed to do as she was told. Build up her walls, strengthen herself.

How long would they be forced to stay here in limbo, only guessing where they would be forced. What kind of future horrors would they be put through? She wasn’t a stranger to abuse, but the girl hated being forced to sit here and guess. ”Thank you, again.” She pressed her features back into Saia’s soft fur, ignoring the fact that her muddy paws were soiling the woman’s clean coat. ”I’ll try and be strong.” She promised softly, her words more confident than she felt.

The pair lay together and Rava promised to try and be strong. Saia smiled and nodded in response. The young woman wouldn't have much choice. She would either be strong or she would fall into deeper despair. Some that fell to such depths simply wasted away until death claimed them. Saia didn't want that for the clouded woman. Not at all.

After the pair had been resting together for some time, Saia rose and went to check on Rava's cloak. The breeze coming through the drafty log wall had dried the damp fabric. Taking it up, she took it back to the woman and settled the forest green fabric upon her once more, reaching below her chin to hook it securely. Once that was done, Saia covered her face with the blue veil once more. They'd been left alone for too long, she felt. Someone would surely be coming to check on them soon.

About twenty minutes after the ladies had donned their garb, the door opened. Saia stared at the door, long ears erect and neck straight like the goddess of some ancient race. It was the brute that had brought them here in the first place. He pushed a dish of meat into the room and brought them a pail of water as well before informing them that they might be here for a while while their new master paid the price for them. Soon they were left on their own again.

"Are you hungry?" She asked Rava before rising to inspect the offered meal. The meat in the dish was a bit of rabbit. No bones that their merchandise could choke on, of course. The pail of water was clear, though the outside of it was a little mucky. Taking the dish of meat between her teeth, Saia brought it back to where she and Rava had been resting. Placing it in front of the cloaked woman, she settled back beside her.

Her options were limited, be strong and weather the storm that would be her life or embrace her weakness and waste away as the days went by. Rava wasn’t sure that she would have what it takes to rise above her situation were she to face it alone. She clung to Saia in more ways than one, and she wondered if she would be able to pull out the strength she needed to survive. Rava didn’t make any move to leave Saia’s embrace, but eventually the woman would release her. Being so close was dangerous, anything could be used against them were they to get caught together.

Rava lifted herself from the dirt floor, sitting up but she wouldn’t take on the confident pose that Saia owned so well. Relief washed over her as the veiled beauty returned the forest green cloak to her, being covered brought her comfort and a false sense of security. Even if it couldn’t actually protect her Rava embraced the relief. She sighed softly as her attention was diverted to the door and the wolf who’d brought them to the holding cell.

The girl shrunk in on herself, surprised that the massive brute was so forthcoming with information as he offered the expectation of a long wait. Frozen in fear Rava didn’t move until Saia brought the platter of food closer to her. At least the pair were going to be well cared for until their new owner claimed them.

”Yes.” She whispered softly, unable to remember her last meal. She hadn’t been starved but all of the stress left her without any kind of real appetite. Hesitating only slightly, Rava picked gently at the prepared meal. Unconsciously the dainty girl leaned against her companion, the comfort and support held her together. ”Who do you think is going to take us?” She asked quietly as she picked at the pieces of rabbit. Their new master hadn’t even seen them before buying, she didn’t want to think about the future because it was so uncertain. Talking about it would hopefully bring some clarity and lessen her fear.

The ladies picked at their meal together, Saia remaining silent. Truth be told, she wasn't terribly hungry. However, one was never sure how often they would be fed in places like this. It was best to keep up ones strength, and so she ate. A few small chunks of rabbit found their way into her stomach, but no more than that. She wasn't going to be expending any energy any time soon, so there was no need.

Extending one long foreleg, the veiled woman rested her chin upon it, her lithe form in a graceful sprawl. Rava questioned her and she gave a noncommittal shrug. "Who's to say? It will be a surprise for both of us." The Shibari woman could only hope that their new master would be kind. Very low odds, but she could hope. If he wasn't kind, he wouldn't be the first. She had dealt with all manner of abuse before. The key was to do everything that they asked. Make them trust you. While the abuse would not stop, the dynamic would change. There would be charity thrown into the mix when the mood struck.

"He said that we might be here for some time. You should rest if you can." Saia's vibrant eyes had already drifted closed to mere slits. She would not sleep, however, until Rava had settled herself enough to fall into slumber.
