The festival had been a success, and so had the interest in the tournament that had been announced that he was hosting. After all the participants were accounted for, he led the march to the battlefield where the tournament would take place. He was curious to know who would win the first rounds as well as who would reign supreme at the end of it all. There were many he recognized, but also many he didn't. Regardless of who won the tournament, they'd be crowned Winterfell's Champion until the next tournament. After everyone was gathered, he started off by announcing the first of the fights. "First round for the beginner division starts with Winter and Recluse. Remember, this is a dominance fight. Just do your best and may the best wolf win. Good luck you two!" The Northern King moved off to the side to spectate as well as start the other matches. He was curious to know who'd win the first rounds, and of course, who would reign supreme at the end of it all. She excitedly followed her dad and the rest of the wolves to the battlefield. Her sister was equally excited, and she couldn't wait to get things started. She glanced around at all the wolves who were participating, and she noticed how different alot of them looked and how many more wolves there were outside of the pack! Feeling her excitement grow, she slowed as her father began to announce everyones opponent. Hers was another girl named Recluse, and she didn't hesitate to take her position in front of the albino girl. Planting her feet in the dirt, she bared her teeth in as fierce a look a puppy could manage, claws flexing in the dirt as she waited for.the go ahead.

Once her dad gave the okay to start, Winter charged forward to come at Recluse head on. With her head down, she sought to headbutt the other girl as hard as she could in the hopes of unbalancing her or at the very least, distract her as she then sought to rake the girls leg with her claws.

To say she wasn't exactly thrilled to find her opponent was a young girl would have been an understatement, Recluse grimaced as she looked over the other girl. Lilith flicked her tongue derisively, seeming to agree with her lupine companion's disappointment. Still Recluse moved to follow the white king and square off with the girl named winter. Lilith coiled tighter around Recluse's neck, her body tense as she prepared to strike when it was most opportune. The pup rushed Recluse, and the albino girl chuckled darkly, bending her knees and spreading her toes to tank the hit, taking the headbutt in her lower chest with a grunt before pivoting on her forepaws and trying to swing her hips 90 degrees to her left so that the two young wolves made more of a right angle with their bodies. Recluse would rise to her hindlegs once she felt she'd moved enough, just missing being scratched by the pup's nasty-looking claws. Now this? Was much more interesting. Recluse would attempt to wrap her left forepaw behind Winter's skull, at the base of the other girl's neck, while gripping under Winter's chin with her right foreleg, basically hoping to get the other girl in a headlock, then come down with her full weight, trying to throw the other girl around with her grip. Lilith extended out from Recluse's neck, her head hovering in front of Recluse's right shoulder, as Recluse would try and make a grip so would Lilith, darting forward with her serpentine jaw open, hoping to grab onto Winter's muzzle, though making sure not to inject any venom. Rules were rules. Well, she had succeeded in headbutting the other girl. But it didn't seem like it did much. Her claws had also missed their target, and she felt disappointed. But she didn't have much time to keep feeling like that, because the albino girl had managed to position herself right next to her and was now trying to get her in a headlock. Panicking slightly, Winter began to wildly swing her head every which way, hoping to smack the other girls face with her thick skull and her horns while trying to keep her balance and hold against the other girls weight up. But when that snake suddenly struck at her, she yelped with pain and lost her footing. She had never seen a snake before, and the sight of the furless creature frightened her a bit. The sting of the bite wasn't something she had felt before, so she did what anyone who was frightened might do.

She flipped over onto her back. Probably not the best position to be in, but she could try to fend them off with tooth and claw. Her hind legs kicked at Recluse's abdomen, hoping to slash and cut the tender belly while her foreclaws aimed to slash at her chest. She'd also try to snap her teeth forward, hoping to either grab Recluse or the snake in her jaws and hold on for dear life.

With this being her first real fight, she was sure she wasn't doing too well. Hopefully, her sister was having better luck...

For her effort all Recluse got was a face full of horns, which was both incredibly unpleasant and rather painful when they hit her. With a snarl she dropped back onto all fours, though she couldn't help but grin with satisfaction as she heard a yelp of pain come from Winter, seeing her companion latched onto the other girls' muzzle. Then Lilith let go, dropping gracelessly into the grass and tried to slither away as fast as she could, the snake wasn't exactly eager to get trampled in the scuffle. Recluse chuckled darkly as she watched Winter roll over onto her back, was she giving up? But no! She snarled as she felt claws raking at her underbelly and chest.
