The festival had been a success, and so had the interest in the tournament that had been announced that he was hosting. After all the participants were accounted for, he led the march to the battlefield where the tournament would take place. He was curious to know who would win the first rounds as well as who would reign supreme at the end of it all. There were many he recognized, but also many he didn't. Regardless of who won the tournament, they'd be crowned Winterfell's Champion until the next tournament. After everyone was gathered, he started off by announcing the first of the fights. "First round for the master division starts with Dragon and Aureus. Remember, this is a dominance fight. Just do your best and may the best wolf win. Good luck you two!" The Northern King moved off to the side to spectate as well as start the other matches. He was curious to know who'd win the first rounds, and of course, who would reign supreme at the end of it all. Aureus faced off against his opponent. There was no point in chatting. Aureus was ready to get right down to business. Griff took off into the air while Kali moved several feet away. There was no way the cat was missing out on this fight. Aureus quickly set his defenses, among them pinning his ears and raising his hackles. His jaws parted, ready for use as he exploded forward toward his opponent. He twisted his left shoulder, thrusting it forward as he attempted to slam it into the other man's windpipe. He hoped Dragon would choke and give him a few moments of advantage. At the same time his fangs dove for the man's lower jaw. He hoped to snag it between his jaws and strain it.

They headed to the battlefield with the others, but he remained quiet as he listened to everything. When he was paired up, he recognized the scent of Abraxas and grinned a bit. Another one eh? No words were wasted as the beginning of the fight was signalled the moment his companions each parted from his side. Though blind, he was still a formidable opponent and he'd show that again today. As Aureus came towards him, Dragon quickly set his defenses and as he heard the other male coming towards him, Dragon moved to eat the short distance between them and lowered his head, horns pointed straight at the Male (or so he hoped they were pointed at him anyway). Hoping to displace the males attack and make him rethink his charge, Dragon felt a bite on the left side of his neck and he growled and snarled before reaching with his foreleg to try and bring a bladed gauntlet across Aureus' chest (hoping to dislodge him) while simultaneously aiming downward slightly to bite the males foreleg so he could give him a taste of his own medicine!

The man lowered his horns at and Aureus quickly dodged to his right. As such his shoulder throw missed and his jaws hit the left side of Dragon's neck. Aureus released almost immediately, his hind legs pushing violently against the earth as Aureus sought to continue his charge along Dragon's left side. This time he came in low, seeking to throw his left shoulder violently forward into Dragon's left knee, while his jaws sought to tear into the flesh of Dragon's left thigh.

As he was pushing past he felt the blades of the other man's weaponry cut light lacerations on his left foreleg but the adrenalin pushed him through. Also due to his movement the mans bite towards his foreleg would miss as he was pulling up alongside the other.

His bite missed, jaws snapping shut on air. He felt his gauntlet catch some part of his opponent, though he quickly replanted his foot. His opponent's teeth had caught and released the side of his neck, though his opponent continued his path along his side and Dragon wasn't about to give him an easy shot. As Aureus sought to slam into his hind leg, Dragon lowered himself too and twisted towards Aureus, head down as he sought to snag the other male with his horns, aiming to drive them into the hips of the other in an effort to toss him away while also trying to swing his hips away.

As he did that, Kimahri raced in and swiped at Aureus' hind legs, seeking to sweep them out from under the man and cause him to fumble while Shiva sought to distract the male by racing in towards Aureus' open side to charge him. Dragon didn't escape completely unscathed, however. Aureus managed to slam the outside of his hind leg while his teeth grasped and pinched the skin, causing Dragon to wince with pain but he didn't let off as he also tried to grab a bite on Aureus' abdomen.
