The little winged wolf was having a lot of fun exploring lately. He was learning to swim, and for the moment his wings were more of a hindrance than a help. They were a big heavy weight upon his back that just seemed to help drag him under. He thought he could figure out a way to make them help him, just like a shark used its fins to swim, but first he had to figure out the best way to do that. Every time he went too deep, he felt like he was going to drown. He came up spluttering and taking in deep breaths as he dragged himself back closer to shore, looking out across the beach, and the deeper water, his brows furrowed in thought and concentration. "Speech"

Lime green eyes scanned the surrounding area of the beach. He was unsure as to what possessed him to travel here, but the warmth of the sun and beach did ease his worries a little bit; even though the seasons were changing and the cold was starting to creep its way ever-so closer towards the lands. His mangled leg was a bit of a hindrance to his hunting and fishing; but he at least knew some ways to get what he needed to survive.

Gero was getting closer towards the shore until his gaze spotted something interesting. A pup with wings? It was interesting to say the least. However, he did run into a wolf that had longer canines than himself, so he was not going to judge. Someone could not help with what they were born with, and he did find the mutations rather unique. He limped over, tilting his crown slightly with interest. "Trying to swim?" He asked, his tone sincere with a hint of curiosity, even though it was more than likely obvious, at least it would be a conversation starter.

As he glanced back to shore, he would catch sight of an older wolf, who seemed to have spotted him. Mortis began to move closer to shore, shaking out his coat as he moved away from the lapping waves and deeper end of the tide. The wolf seemed to be walking a bit funny, but the pup couldn’t be certain. He had already met many different people, and maybe this one just liked to walk a little funny. Who was he to judge! His tail gave a friendly wag behind him as he stopped close enough so he wouldn’t need to shout. “I’m trying to learn” he explained, puppy-friendliness mingled with a tinge of frustration. "Speech"

Gero smiled slightly at the young child. One was never too young or old to try something new, and he was relieved that the winged pup didn't need any form of rescuing. The only swimming he had ever done in his life was for fishing, and he only waded in the water for something like that. After his leg got mangled, it was rather hard to do any form of swimming so he had to commemorate the chap, especially with the wings that, the alabaster male assumed, would weigh them down.

"No need to be frustrated, these types of things take time to learn. But, from what I saw, you're doing very well," He explained, his tail swaying to show friendliness and certainty, even though it already lingered in his voice. Deep down, he wondered where the child's parents were, especially if something were to happen to the lad.

"Speech"

He moved closer yet to the man, whos whitegrey coat just about blended into the sand behind him. He let the water drip down his legs, and thought he caught the sight of colourful little fish braving him to nibble near his toes. He shook his paw, and they darted away, bringing out a soft giggle in the child. Not that he meant to get distracted. He was supposed to show respect to his elders. He looked up at the man again, and gave an impish smile. “Thanks! I wanna be the bestest of my siblings at it” Asla didn’t like swimming, and he wasn’t sure how edept Azure and Indigo was, but living near the ocean likely meant they have both had some practice. Perhaps he should ask his Auntie Deathbelle for lessons, she lived on an island, so she had to have some experience, right? “I’m Mortis” he said, knowing name-giving was the polite thing to do when meeting a new wolf. "Speech"
