Alabaster and warm toned fur danced in the wind. Residual sea spray and and the scent of wild flowers filled his nose. Plague allowed those fierce forest green eyes to consumed the beaches below. He stood a safe distance away from the cliff but took a step closer, daring himself to experience the thrill. He definitely felt his heart race slightly. Experiencing such a height with the wind seemingly pushing him closer to the edge was a new sensation. Plague wasn't innately afraid of heights but he couldn't help but to take a timid step back in response.

After a few moments of watching the beach Plague turned to face the plains of wild flowers. He sucked in a long breath as the looming volcano poured into his vision. From Ashen he could see the summit in the distance but now the mountain was in full view. Once again his heart raced as thoughts shifted to the death of his father. The volcano was a symbol Archon's demise and the empty space he'd forever feel within the depths of his own heart. Plague was silent and still as he allowed his gaze to consume Mount Vulkan with obvious emotion swirling beneath the surface.

Moontouched Cliffs

Void’s new yearling status had him taking full advantage of the ability to wander outside Abaven. Even more he felt the relief of the volcano’s wrath. Being able to see the stars once more and let himself be guided by them. Life seemed to be returning to normal. He wasn’t quite sure how to feel about the return of his brother and mother. Relief maybe? The feeling of their return had not elicited as strong of a response as the return of the stars had.

Blue and lavender gaze looked over the heights of the moontouched cliffs, they seemed to have always been a staple in his young life alongside the massive mountain that had caused so much strife to his family and pack. The fearless yearling continued onward, keeping close to Abaven with all the tension in the air recently. He didn’t want to be to far in case of Theory’s sudden call.

He loped along the cliffs, knowing full well the life they had stolen away not two seasons before. Void was careful, but eager to explore the lands. The grass was long but slowly shifting to much more of a straw color and the wildflowers byond matched the colors of the changing leaves. He also didn’t expected the form of another wolf to be decorating these hallowed grounds.

The boy was the same age as Void, and marked similarly but he possessed much less of the invading white colors. Curious and without fear the yearling Destruction approached with a slow deliberate pace and his head tilted curiously. His experience with wolves outside of his pack was minimal at best. ”Hello,” he offered quickly in his deepening tones. No longer the gangly pup he once was the looming boy was much more gentle than his huge form would suggest.

Eyes locked with the horrific mountain in the distance. His mind seemed to paint streams of red flowing down it's ridges. The red was not lava, it was the blood of his father. These dreadful thoughts twisted his normally dialed in mind into something filled with shadows. A metaphorical fog weaved itself through his cranium and deprived him of his senses. The boy felt frozen in place but didn't fight the feelings of complete distance.

'Hello.'

A voice relinquished Plague from his mental cage. Suddenly his head whipped in the strangers direction and forest green eyes took in his features. Similar dappling, invasive markings, and beaming duo toned optics. After a moment of mild shock Plagued felt as though her could breath again. Wind whipped through his fur as his own baritone vocals filled the air. "Hello." A pause. "Sorry... I was just.." Plague cleared his throat and looked towards the mountain. "Never-mind." He felt his cheek burn in embaressment. The boy rarely showed emotion. "Who are you?" Eyes now settling on the stranger again as he swallowed his anxiety for the moment.

The other boy was very obviously distracted and Void could follow his gaze to the volcano. The Desturction had a passionate hate for the eruption, while his loved ones had been returned to him the huge affront had been the loss of the stars. He’d felt so alone without the bright dots of light in the sky. He was thankful for his sister and her efforts in helping him, but what he had really needed was a clear sky.

He was greeted in return, and were Void one to embrace his emotions might have felt bad for disturbing him. He seemed troubled, but quickly put it all behind him. Void could sympathize, and didn’t pry. The stranger asked who he was. ”Void Destruction.” He offered, his deepening voice soft. Void blinked his bright blue and lavender gaze as forest green eyes fell upon him. He wasn’t usually a talkative boy, but he couldn’t help but to take pause. It was in his blood to help when it was needed.

”Are you okay?” He asked with a tilt of his star spangled features. ”m not a healer, but I could bring you to one.” Void added, uncertainly.

Plague felt as though he had so carelessly shown deep weakness to this stranger. His cheeks burned with continuous embarrassment as he stared at Void. An internal monologue repeated within his riddled mind. After so much training to be sharp he had let his guard down with such ease. A mountain of all things destroyed all of those many walls that were built. What had really ignited this flood of anxiety was Voids offer to bring Plague to a healer. 'Do I look that bad? Can this stranger see the wounds inside?'

After a moment of little to no contemplation Plague shook his head. "Thank you but there is no need." Plague didn't think any doctor could cure his troubles. Only time could cure the pain of losing Archon. 'But is that all that's wrong?' He shoved away the invasive thoughts with a flick of his tail. Clearly avoiding the question. "I was just lost in thought is all." A pause and a small raise of his head. "I am Plague Klein-Abraxas of Ashen." Rarely did he offer the entire length of his name but he felt like he should do it more often. Being surrounded by Kleins he needed a reminder of the other side of his family.

With a small wrinkle of his nose Plague looked towards the more pleasant landscape of the ocean. "Do you belong to the pack near here?" He looked over the region to distract himself from his own worries. The flat of the cliffs was littered with small wildflowers and other plants. It was a beautiful region with a danger looming over and around it.

For a long moment the pale stranger just stared at the Destruction yearling and Void grew more concerned as they ticked by. If the Abavenite was anything it was patient and he remained still for those long moments until Plague spoke up after a quick shake of his head. Void was slightly relieved, he wasn’t sure what he was going to say to one of Abaven’s healers anyway. The yearling nodded his head lightly as he accepted Plague’s name in return. His title would have fit right in with Void and his litter. Uncle Rhyme’s nurse or girlfriend or whatever she was had the last name of Klein. Abraxas was more unknown, the occupation was long over by now. Maybe there was a hint of recognition in passing.

”I do.” He replied simply, his lack of emotions making his tone deep, but almost monotonous. ”It’s called Abaven.” He continued quietly as he studied the tall youth. What kind of thoughts did this boy find himself lost in? Were they anything like his own? Void silenced himself, unskilled at conversation. He cleared his throat lightly as a question bubbled forth. ”Is Ashen the pack on the islands? In the South?” He was usually a wolf of few words, and it was amazing he was able to keep the conversation going.
