Tyrian was hot on the heels of a misbehaving puma. He’d chased the cat from the heart of Fireside to the rogue lands beyond. Had this been the first time he would have let it go after chasing it from the territory, but the cat’s intrusions had gotten more and more sinister as of late. After getting increasingly closer it had finally taken a swipe at his sheep and Tyrian had had enough. It needed to go.

Spying the cat as it attempted to climb a tree, Tyrian put on a burst of speed and managed to grab it by a hind leg. There was a bit of back and forth as the cat tried to keep climbing and Tyrian tried to drag it down before the cat changed tactics and twisted around to claw at his face.

He was bored. And so to try to cure his boredom, he followed Tyrian out to the orchard. He wasn't spying on him by any means, but he wanted to talk to him about what he could do about training. He had won some of his fights, but he was pissed he had lost against a yearling from Abaven! Not that he'd ever mention that to his pack because...well...they'd probably laugh at him. He remembered the fight he had with Valdis and Theory though, and since Valdis had won that fight, he was determined to try and get on her level. He hadn't seen Tyrian fight, but it seemed fate would show him today because as he continued to follow after him, he heard the yowling of something up ahead.

Ares hurried to see what was going on, and just as he broke through the trees, he saw Tyrian latched onto the hind leg of a puma. He watched them go back and forth for a moment like some weird game of tug-of-war and decided what the hell, might as well help him bring that cat out of the tree. He ran towards them, eyes focused on the feline. Just as it twisted around to attack Tyrian, Ares managed to reach it in time with a headbutt, the large beast using all his weight to send it freefalling to the ground with a hard thud. "Havin' fun without me?"

"Speech"

He was snarling expletives into the cat's foot when the beast whipped around to go after his face. Tyrian recoiled but he wasn't quite fast enough; the cat managed to get its paws on either side of his head. Well, two could play at that game. Tyrian threw his arms around the cat's neck, his claws mercilessly into its skin, and twisted the beast out of the tree with help from Ares' shove. The two of them fell on the ground in a biting, kicking, clawing heap. Even though he was bigger and stronger, Tyrian couldn't match the cat in speed. Its lightning fast reflexes enabled it to block the bulk of his blows and sneak through his defenses.

Tyrian continued swearing and snarling as the cat managed to pin him on his back seconds after they hit the ground. They continued to trade blows with the cat on top of him, but Tyrian was struggling. Ares' jovial comment finally registered and while yes, he could appreciate the sentiment, Tyrian was also getting the shit clawed out of him. He let go of the cat just long enough to roar, "You horse's ass help me!" They could laugh about it later. For now the fight was on.
