Siren Primrose

Siren didn’t like to wander far from the den without an escort, and she liked it even less when the sun was out and even less (discomfort to the second power) did she like the night. Thankfully it was late in the season, the winter solstice was literally days away. Deathbelle had been harping on the tiny princess to go out and explore. She took her with her on patrols, but the dainty Princess inevitably wished to be carried. Deathbelle returned her to the entrance of the den, it was near midnight and darkness reigned. The Empress forbade the girl to go back to the palace.

Siren sat pitifully near the grand entrance as Deathbelle returned to her patrols without the tiny child to hinder her progress. The girl knew that Daedra wasn’t in calling distance and their father was likely out patrolling as well. Siren suddenly realized she was completely alone, in the dark, unable to seek solace inside. She froze, heart beating double time as adrenaline raced through her and every small sound was a bear to come and eat her.


"Speech"

Well it wouldn't be a bear to come eat her. A wolf perhaps... Chimera, as always, was on his own. He didn't like the presence of others. He didn't like being close to his siblings or his parents. The two-toned boy liked being the master of his own space. By being alone, he controlled his environment. All decisions were his to make. Complete and utter control. He was the master. The world was his slave. There were some times though... Chi had been moping a bit. Yes, he liked being alone, but he also liked attention too. He needed someone to love him. To fear him. To be his slave. The child had been moping in the dark when his darling mother placed a treat right in front of him, unbeknownst to her or his sister. As the tiny, pale girl hunkered down, the boy rose. Already his lips split in a grin. Moving silently forward, the pup placed his mouth against one of Siren's soft ears and whispered. "Abandoned by mommy, are we?" "Speech"

She retreated inward, scared of the dark and scared of her mother’s wrath if she disobeyed and returned to the den before she was told to do so. She yearned for her daddy to come and whisk her away. Siren pressed herself to the side of the rock, over reacting to every noise so much that when Chimera slipped closer he went completely unnoticed.

Siren nearly peed herself as she felt her brother’s sudden presence beside her. She cried out in fright and defeat at her realizations. Their mother had abandoned her here, and all she had was Chimera for comfort. Despite the obvious cruelties he had in mind Siren didn’t leap away from him. At least he was a familiar evil, she couldn’t even imagine her fate if she stepped beyond the den. ”No,” she tried to convince herself, but they both knew the truth. ”Momma wants me to play outside.” On my own. She said to herself as a shiver raced up her alabaster spine.


"Speech"

His sisters reaction was exactly what he wanted it to be.  Her breathing hitched. She jumped.  She cowered. From his earliest hours,  Chimera came to the realization that he was addicted to fear. The  smell of it. The taste of it. The sound of fearful whimpering. It was like a drug to the boy. Siren was the very best target too. Her fear smelled so sweet and rich Her explanation brought a sudden grin to the boys features. "Oh. She wanted you to play out here all alone?" He continued to stand just behind and to the side of her. "Or did she bring you out here to die? You're so small and bright.  An easy target for the monsters out here." With a sad,  exaggerated sigh,  Chimera began to walk away from Siren.  "It was nice knowing you,  Siren, but if this is what mom wants..." Would she beg him to stop?  Would she cry? Would the fear rise in her?  How would his darling sister react to being all alone out here?

She couldn’t calm down, despite the presence beside her the tiny Princess felt fear hold tight to every bit of her conscious. It wouldn’t allow her to think logically as she fell into the depths and hung precariously on Chimera’s every word. He reiterated himself, observing that she had been left out here alone, was it because her mother wanted her out of the den or did she leave her here for the monsters. Had her mind been clear she would have argued that Deathbelle wouldn’t have left her right outside the den to be eaten. To her current mindset it was a very real possibility.

She couldn’t argue that she was a perfect target for monsters, and Chimera seemed completely resigned to her fate. With a sigh he left her side, knowing this was the last time he was going to see her. Siren let out another soft whimper, debating for all of a second before scrambling after her brother. ”No, Chi. Please don’t leave me alone.” She begged as she tried to sidle up beside him.

She wouldn't see it, but Chimera grinned as his sister begged him not to leave her alone. "I don't know..." he began, tilting his head to the side without looking at her. "Mom did put you out here herself. I might get into trouble if I stay with you." The large pup pretended to think about it for a few minutes and eventually gave an exaggerated sigh. "Fine... I guess you can come with me. Though terribly young, Chimera had already found his sense of adventure. He'd been all over the place outside of the den. He didn't think the world could be much bigger than where he'd already been. Today he was going to see if he could go further than he had the day before. Having Siren around to scare would either make things more fun or more tiresome. He would have to see which. Leaping upon a rock, the black and white child looked around for a moment before grinning and pouncing hard upon the ground. He smashed a big beetle under his paws, killing it instantly. Wiping his paws on the earth, he continued. "Do you know what kinds of monsters we have around here, Siren?" The boy cast a glance at her with his working eye. The other was blank and white. Unseeing. "Speech"

Chimera was going to leave her, he was going to go on and be strong and brave like she wasn’t. Her brother was going to let her get eaten by whatever monsters were waiting in the darkness around them. He debated for a long moment and she cowered further, her dual toned eyes looking up at him in fright. Her long furred tail was pressed firmly at her belly, much like her ears were against her skull.

She let out a heavy breath that she hadn’t realized she was holding as he agreed to take her along with him. Despite his warning of getting in trouble Deathbelle would have taken the face value of their interaction proudly, a big brother showing his little sister around. However much cruel entertainment the boy was actually getting from Siren. Unlike her brothers Siren was frightened of stepping paw out of the den, she was tiny and she was frail. If her brothers could torment her so what would the rest of the world do?

Siren didn’t want to follow him into the woods, one of the last things she wanted to do was that. However, having company was much preferable to pressing herself against the solid rock on the outside of the palace. Chi leapt to a rock and she sunk further into the ground before he leapt down and returned his attention to her. She barely noticed the bug he’d crushed. ”No. I don’t wanna know.” She confessed as she tried to make her tiny form even smaller.

The tiny, pale girl followed close behind him, tail tucked between her legs and ears flat against her skull. She was terrified and he loved it. All grins and haughty sauntering, Chi led his sister into the dark woods. She could either follow him inside or she would go back and shiver outside of the den all alone. He couldn't imagine ever being so afraid. Nothing could hurt him. Nothing at all. He was strong. He was fierce. He was super tough. Nothing would dare. Siren spoke timidly, saying that she didn't want to know about the monsters. Chimera grinned anew, looking down on his little sister with his pale pink eye. "There's a great, shadowy beast that lives up in the trees. Its eyes glow like red flames." Chimera enjoyed the spoken word and had picked up on them very easily. For one so young, his speech was terribly advanced. "It sleeps until its dark, then it wakes up and looks for something or someone to eat." The two-toned boy looked for the fear on his sisters face. "The only way to keep yourself from being eaten is by pretending that you're a shadow too." Giving a frown, he made the motion of looking his little sister over from head to toe. "You could never pass as a shadow. Too bright." Chimera stopped and curled onto his left side, exposing his obsidian half to the night sky. "See? I'm a shadow and you're aaaaall alone in the woods." Up above them, an own screeched in the foliage. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. "Speech"

Siren couldn’t imagine being as brave as Chimera was, even in the face of monsters the boy held his head high and showed off his bravery to the tiny Siren. She cowered timidly, her limbs bent exaggeratedly and her belly brushed the dead foliage along the ground as she slunk behind her brother. She was tiny and she was frail, despite her lineage she was a weak and tiny runt. Even though her opinion was clear on the matter, Chimera continued on to tell her about the first of the monsters in the woods.

He went on to describe it with terrifying detail. Siren squeezed her eyes shut as she tried not to imagine the creature her brother described. It seemed much like the shadow that lingered over Chimera’s form that she could see through her silver eye. He explained how to hide from them, but took away any of her hope when he mentioned her bright white fur. She wouldn’t be hiding from any monsters. For a moment though she wondered if he was talking about himself and she relaxed just in time for the owl’s cry to sound right above her head.

She squealed in terror as she threw herself on the ground and covered her head with her dainty white paws. She whimpered into the dirt as she waited to feel claws at her back and for death to swallow her up.

It was so incredibly difficult to keep from laughing. Siren was perfect when it came to teasing. She was just so easy! When she threw her self onto the ground, Chimera clucked his tongue and shook his head. "Oh, that's not a good idea either. Sometimes, when the forest is really dark and quiet, the dead wolves of the past reach up from below. They're dead, so they want to feel what life is like again." Casting a glance over his shoulder, Chimera grinned. "Their favorite prey is little girls. Especially crying ones, but they'll drag just about anything underground if they can catch it." The boy made a show of hopping from rock to rock, knowing that the gap between was too large for Siren's little legs. "Even dead wolves can't reach through rock though." On his last jump, he stumbled a bit, but managed to keep his footing before he tumbled off of the rock. "I guess if mom sent you outside to get eaten by monsters, you're off to a good start." Just to push his level of mind control, he added. "I wonder if mom is trying to get rid of you because you're so small. Inc and I are big and strong. Maybe you're broken?" The boy gave an innocent little head tilt as if considering the matter. "Speech"

The girl whimpered softly as Chimera suddenly chastised her for her show of fear as she coward on the ground and tried to disappear. He continued, telling her calmly that if she remained where she was the ghosts of the dead would come up from the deep earth to grab her and drag her back down beneath with them. She wondered for a moment if she was dead she wouldn’t be scared anymore, but her will to live was stronger than that and the fear held onto her much too tightly. She just so happened to be their favorite prey.

Chimera did give her an out, if she could manage to stay above rock the dead would be unable to grasp her. With a whimper and a quick movement she hopped up from crouching in the dirt and scrambled fervently to ascend the rock. Siren managed to make it to a perch in time to catch Chi stumble, but as he brought himself back up to his proud stance her eyes grew wide.

For a moment she could only see him from her damaged silver eye. The image terrified her. Chimera sat on a mountain of bone and blood, the bodies beneath him quivered in terror and pain as he lounged. Full grown and massive, a classic Klein smirk playing on his features as he took pleasure in the massacre. Siren blinked the image away barely catching Chi as he questioned their mother’s motives when leaving her out here on her own. Deathbelle told her she was never really alone, someone was always watching her, but here with Chi she couldn’t believe that.

Maybe she was broken.

Siren couldn’t handle the vision on top of the emotion and confusion he elicited from her. Tears welled up into her eyes as she lowered herself over the rock and cried. Determined to stay right here until her mother came looking for her. If her mother came looking for her.


"Speech"

A little snicker pulled from Chimera. He just couldn't help it. When she was beaten though, his sister was good and truly beaten. Once she'd given up completely, she wasn't fun anymore. The two-toned boy sighed and jumped down from the rock. "Monster's don't like being around other monsters." Standing over his sister, his shadow fell across her. "Are you scared, Siren?" He smiled, his grin gleaming in the muted light. Placing one paw on his tiny little sister, he gave a push. "Stop being such a baby, Siren. Someone or something really is going to kill you one of these days if you can't protect yourself." Then he pounced, throwing his weight into the pale child. He would aim to pin her on her back with his paws on her shoulders. "Fight back, Siren. Learn to fight back!" He snarled over her, teeth snapping a hairsbreadth from her nose. "Speech"

The tiny child grit her teeth and closed her eyes as she prayed for her mother or father to swoop in and pick her up. She wanted to go back to the palace, she wanted to snuggle up in the big plush furs and disappear. Everything was scary, everything was going to get her, and she wouldn’t ever be strong enough to hold her own. Chimera returned to her, she could feel him over her shoulder and pale ears swiveled as he spoke again. Monsters beat other monsters, was she afraid? ”Yes.” She confessed softly, pulling into herself further.

She uncurled when he pushed her, eyes snapping open in shock. She watched his mouth move with his cautionary words but couldn’t react as he pushed her over to reveal her vulnerable belly. She squealed in fright as his larger frame pinned her to the ground. She couldn’t go anywhere, and though she struggled his weight was much too heavy for her to overcome. Siren screamed again as he snapped his teeth in her face and played the part of the killer he’d mentioned. She squirmed and wriggled beneath him, at the very least she hadn’t given up.

Beneath him, his sister struggled. The struggling and squirming girl excited the boy. She wiggled about and he couldn't help himself. Claws sunk into her shoulders and he leaned down quickly, aiming to place a bite between her shoulder and neck. She was his prey. His struggling, frightened prey. Chimera clamped his teeth down hard, the pupil in his pink eye pinning with excitement. He didn't draw blood, but, had he not regained his senses, he very well could have. The boy stepped back from his sister, tongue flicking over his teeth and lips. What was that feeling? That sweet pull of excitement and ecstasy? It felt so good that Chimera didn't quite know what to do with himself. He stared at the small, squirming ball of light that was his sister, his mouth agape. No doubt he looked as shocked as he felt. The boy wanted to bite her again. He wanted to bite something living. The thought of once again feeling the resistance of soft, warm flesh against his teeth send a shudder through him. He didn't understand it one bit, but he wanted oh so badly for it to happen again. Turning tail, Chimera ran as quickly as he could away from his sister. He left her there alone in the woods and scurried through the trees, paws and claws scrambling over leaves and rocks. He was going to get into trouble for this, he knew. Did he care? Not one bit. What he did care about was trying to understand what had happened back there. To do that, he needed to bite something else. Or someone else. "Speech"
