Morning rolled lazily over the battlefield. Birds were beginning to sing and Jynn yawned at the soft pink light that floated into her temporary den. Ooh… she was sore. Stretching awkwardly while trying not to kick her companion in the face, Jynn slowly extricated herself from the hiding spot. It was a lovely morning, bright and clear.

"Oi, no breakfast for lazy lumps, c'mon Tahmores let's go!" A muffled swear was her answer but soon her ruddy colored companion slinked out of the den. The smaller wolf shook the dirt out of his coat as he stretched. "Any bets this time? I'm thinking we'll get a huge, gray male."

Tahmores snorted. "How about a giant woman with a bunch of scars." Jynn chuckled and sent out the call for an opponent, curious who would be up at this hour and ready to go.

Now that the Archer-Lyall knew the place existed, she made an effort to frequent the area. Her last encounter had been refreshing, and helped to experience fighting styles that might be different to her own.

When a call went up, a small grin pulled at the edges of her mouth, diverting her course to better encounter whoever it was that was calling. She wouldn’t drag her feet and allow someone else beat her to it, lest all she earned for the journey was a short bout of cardio. What met her eyes was almost as strange as some of the other things she had seen since coming to this place. A russet... Well it looked like a wolf wearing the ears of a bear but too big, and the other woman seemed to have legs for days... but sSedna wasn’t here to gawk.

Dipping into her customary bow, legs slapping the earth in front with rump high, tail waving high over her back to show that while she meant to get rough, there were no ill intentions in her actions. Once some sign was given that the other agreed to the terms she would close the distance between them with a short burst of speed, aiming to gain some momentum before they reached close quarters.

In the distance she could hear the sound of a pheasant, calling in the morning, staking his territorial claim. A fine breakfast if she could obtain a victory. Jynn smiled as a large woman about her age appeared to answer her call. The woman dipped into a deep bow but didn't say anything. "Hi, there!" That was all she could think to say but she returned the bow, not nearly as deeply, simply bowing her head low. With such long legs getting down that far could be tricky but she did have a long neck to help make up for it.

Jynn swiftly set her defenses just as the other woman charged. Her legs coiled and she stepped swiftly to her right as she kicked forward seeking to brush along the woman's left side, jaws wide as she sought to bite into Sedna's upper left thigh. She sought not a grip but a swift blow to break skin.

With her opponent having such long legs, Sedna wasn’t entirely sure how this would pan out. She thought back to her spar with Sirius and thought that tackling the stranger head on was probably her best bet, no doubt used to smaller wolves trying to tangle themselves up amongst legs in an attempt to trip her. While the Archer-Lyall hadn’t anticipated the side step, her target was swift to switch from shoulder to base of ribs, it would bring her thigh within reach of the other wolf but she hoped to use her momentum to headbutt the other wolf and knock her off balance or wind her at least.

Jynn used her long legs to her advantage, focusing on her speed. Her opponent continued moving forward and she shifted just slightly further to the side, using her long neck to keep her reach while giving herself a little distance from her opponent. She was glad she'd done so as she felt fangs knick the side of her ribs and the woman's head butting into her. Jynn stumbled slightly but kept on target. Kicking off with her hind legs to dive back in for the top of the woman's left thigh. Again she hoped just for a glancing blow rather than a grip.

The feeling of teeth sinking into her thigh but not holding wasn’t entirely expected. The girl had grown with brawlers, that took hold and threw their weight into it once they did, though the stranger didn’t have the weight behind her the Archer kin had. With no hold on her leg she would bring her back end around and away from her opponent, hoping to throw a foreleg over her back and use the leverage to grab at the thick skin on the back of her neck where she would be less likely to bleed. It was more a dominance move than a fighting one, but in times like this, weren’t they one and the same? If her opponent was quick enough however, of course she risked tripping on her own limbs and landing in the dirt.
