Poem liked her new brothers and sisters as long as she was able to give them back to her dad and Samara after a while. She had been fine with taking on the responsibilities of becoming heir but she certainly wasn’t ready for the responsibility of taking care of young pups. Even with her nervousness she enjoyed it though. They were cute and sweet and she liked to see the world through their eyes. Untainted by the tragedies of life before.

Hericy paws carried her closer to the den where they’d been birthed. She still couldn’t believe she’d been asked to help name them. Poem certainly felt more involved after that. Striped tail wagging at her hips she called out to see if anyone was home today. She needed a bit of distraction.

"Speech" Think

Suspense tired out more easily than her other siblings. Her brothers were always running around doing things and Ruin was constantly getting into trouble, but Suspense simply couldn't keep up with her much bigger siblings, so she napped more frequently. She was just starting to rouse from her mid-afternoon nap when she heard her bigger sister calling for her. Suspense jumped to her paws, shaking her self out with so much force she nearly toppled herself and dashed out of the den.

"Poum!" She cried, her mouth still tripping over her older sister's name. Suspense loved her older sisters too! She didn't get to see them as often as her brothers or Ruin so it was a special occasion when she got to spend a day with them. As far as Suspense was aware there was no difference between her littermates and the older girls she knew were her sisters. She was still too young to really understand the circumstances of their birth, she knew they didn't have the same mom but she didn't really understand that yet. Suspense raced towards her older sister, dashing full pelt towards Poem's legs, likely to crash into her if her older sibling didn't move out of the way. Suspense had little to no brakes.

Poem grinned as Suspense rolled out of the den towards her. Out of all of them the older girl felt most protective of her tiny sister. She reminded her of Verse, and how close they had been growing up. She felt a pang of sorrow for her lost sibling and the events leading up to her disappearance. Poem had been so caught up in finding Motif that she hadn’t even realized Verse had needed her too. The past couldn’t be helped though, and Poem was determined to keep her siblings from suffering a similar fate. She’d be there for them no matter what. She haad to be, she had to do better this time.

Poem lowered herself onto her haunches and spread her arms so that Suspense could crush into her belly and wind up in a loving embrace. She could hardly believe how small she still was, especially compared to her siblings. Her size only endeared her further to Poem, that and her inability to pronounce her name completely correct. She didn’t mind that at all.

”Hello, Suspense.” She greeted the young pup with a smile when she aimed to grab hold and hug her tight. ”Do you want to come play with me? I have new clay! Maybe we could make gifts for grandmother Rhythm?” Poem suggested sweetly.
