Extra Hour in the Ballpit
Somehow despite his failing searches Torin still found his paws carrying him beyond the packlands semi-regularly. This time he was drawn further east and south, his paws carrying him out of the desert and back into lush territory. He had little reference for most of the lands this far east and the man had to admit it was nicer than the sands that surrounded his own pack lands, though he was forever grateful for the barrier they provided, it was much harder to bring an army through the desert to challenge his pack than through lush prey filled lands. But well... the area helped to soothe his soul, a bit like a balm. Torin had firmly seated himself and was allowing his mind to drift onto more peaceful thoughts than his usual worries, a rare moment of peace for the long tormented alpha. |

Eir followed her alpha from afar, she just wanted to have an eye on him.Yes he may didnt need it but she still get a lot of responsibility not only with he but all who belonged to her beloved back and family others could say.But she was taking her distance as she didnt want to intrude, she was there just to escort him and step if anything wrong happened.Eyes of cyan were cold as always as the large female stared around her to these places she certainly hasn't come before.
Slowly as the alpha sat she did as well but from afar, observing the surroundings with narrowed eyes. No one was going to touch a fur of her family, and if she had to be ferocious with her protection on them she will,if she had to die for them she will. She oathed her loyalty and absolute protection to them and here she was being in the watch out for any threat that could linger.
Torin hadn't noticed his tail at first, but slowly he'd become aware of the dedicated warrior who was following him. Torin decided not to say anything about it, at least while he was traveling, he wanted to see how far he would be followed, it was possible that Eir was on another mission. It wasn't until he's settled and realized she wasn't continuing that Torin knew she'd been following him for sure. Torin chuckled. "You know you can join me right?" He called back, turning his head to look over his shoulder, a soft smile tugging at his lips. Gods bless Eir. |

Eir kept a hawk-eye onto her alpha and in her surroundings, she knew Torin didnt need any protection but she still did, nothing made her mind change once she setted it in something. And now that he was of her family,he and Lirim, she felt the responsibility of watching over his shoulder and back. She was taught to protect those on her care,to always make sure they were okay, safe if she could provide it.
But soon the male noticed her,and with his words made her stand up and walk over to him.Taking a seat near him. "I just wanted to watch out, and i didn't know if you needed time alone or not." This was her nature,a nature of protecting of defending. "What has been on your mind?" She asked but soon she realized her mistake. "Dont have to share if you dont want to," Dont mind my disrespectfulness. She thought in silence.
Torin smiled as Eir settled next to him, truly he would have to do something to show how much her support meant to him. But for now, he'd simply focus on this moment, it was the easiest way to get through, just moving day by day, moment by moment. Still, he couldn't help but chuckle as the woman spoke. "If I'd wanted some time alone I'd probably not appreciate you tailing me." He said lightly, it was true but he wasn't really upset, he hadn't exactly been looking for peace and quiet. "But I really do not mind Eir. I'd rather we walk together as equals than you feel the need to lurk in the background." Eir asked what was on his mind and he sighed. "Same things that have been on my mind for the last year, my missing family, my doubts and worries about Lirim's future." He chuckled darkly for a moment. "Sometimes I leave Lirim in the hope it'll distract me somehow, never works. But I do it anyway." He shook his head, he really didn't want to be dwelling on this right now. |
