Rakshra

After stumbling upon a new land she had never yet discovered, Rakshra cautiously explored. It wasn't all that cold, in fact she liked the temperture. She wasn't sure if others were around or not, she only picked up a few scents in the air that belonged to not those of small animal such as hares or beavers. Rakshra found a pond where the ice hadn't completely covered it. She bent down and sipped a bit from it. She loved the slush from the melted ice mixed in with the cold water. Suddenly, Rakshra picked up another scent in the air. It was close. Lifting her head back up and looking around cautiously, she spoke. "It wouldn't be wise if you are planning on sneaking up on me." The words slipped off her tongue eaisly.

He'd never been the stealthiest creature in the north and he knew it. With obsidian fur and the only alabaster upon his pelt being the 'v' marked on his chest, the Tasmanian Devil didn't expect to go undetected. His dark hairs made him stick out like a sore thumb and the tropical-residing companion was not accustomed to maneuvering over the snow. He stumbled and practically flopped about, sinking into the cold substance whenever his weight landed too harshly. Mercury had been relieved to find the geyser, for the wintry mix about it wasn't near as deep as the other areas. He spotted another being of dark features up ahead and glared up ahead, lips curling into a silent snarl. If he hadn't been damp with melted snow, the hairs upon his body would have raised with threat. When the woman's voice called out to him, he snickered crudely.



"Sneaking up? On you? I'm right here, in the open, a black animal in the middle of the snowy wasteland like you. Are you blind or just dumb?" he sneered bitterly, already amazed at what he assumed to be the stupidity of this animal. Snarls ripped from his lips and he clicked his teeth, wondering if he could smite her or drive her off before Jupiter came after him following her hunting. "Besides, if your senses are that dull, it wouldn't be worth trying to sneak up on you. I could just walk up and get you without even quieting my step!"

Rakshra

Insulted, Rakshra turned around and glared. Just putting it out there, that you weren't 'out in the open' when I asked you do no such thing as sneak up on me, for I would have turned around and ripped your head off in an instant." Rakshra stated. She didn't like the look of this-- thing. She knew what it was, but she found it rather... unpleasing to the eye. I am not stupid, just by looking at you I can already tell you are the less...intelligent one here. she chuckled. She had just met this thing and it had already pissed her off. Not a very good meeting, is it. Now, I'll try being polite, as you should have been. My name is Rakshra. She bowed politely. And you are?

if the brute's looks had been murderous before, they worsened immediately now, his spiteful glare only accented by his wicked grin. "I've been standing right here. In the open. You were just facing the wrong way." Small ears tucked back tightly against his skull, his ear-splitting, absolutely atrocious-sounding snarls amplifying to echo about. Fury bubbled within the easily-angered, temperamental creature and his sharp claws dug into the snow. "Look here, bitch," he countered, absolutely ignoring her attempts to be polite. "I've ripped the tendons out of the leg of a wolf a foot taller than you, and you're no different except for the fact that you're even stupider than he was." His weight shifted and he sidestepped, subtly flattening and packing the snow around him for more stable footing. Mind flickered back to the sight of Jupiter tearing out the former king of Amenti's throat, as well as his part in it--there was no doubt that ripping out Kaios' Achilles tendon had been one of the most satisfying things that he'd ever done. Even now he prepared himself to fight this 'Rakshra', the best defenses he could manage shifting into place.



"What I should and shouldn't do isn't for you to decide," he snapped. "So. Come try to rip my head off. I dare you."

Listen up furball. I'm not gonna rip off your face for the fact your not worth the time and effort. And second of all, I know you think I'm stupid and I'm totally fine with that, But I just thought I should throw it out there that 'stupider' isn't a word. she chuckled. "Now, how about you just shut the hell up and be on your way. she spoke. She wasn't gonna fight a small creature who wasn't worth her time. It's simply just not worth it. Stiffening up her shoulders she stared at the creature. Why was he such an angry little thing anyway? There's no harm in asking, so that's excatly what she did. "Why are you so angry, anyway?"

"Yes, you sure do 'put' and 'throw' a lot of things 'out there', don't you?" he sneered, ignoring her inefficient arguments that dodged around his points and instead plucked completely unrelated things from his dialogue. "You'd better be careful with 'putting things out there', m'dear, or you might end up with whelps to tend to." Her question was shot this way and he wasted no time in answering it, snorting at something that had such an obvious answer to his mentality. "Because you're obviously a dumb bitch and I'd rather drive you out than look at you," he shot back. Before even she would have time to answer, though, Jupiter was visibly approaching, pace a fast trot as she danced swiftly over the snow.



Having heard the Tasmanian Devil's resounding snarls, she had swept quickly from her meal and even now her lips were still dark with the blood of her prey. Concern touched her features and she approached warily, the fur along her neck raising a bit in defensiveness. Mercury snickered at Rakshra before withdrawing back slyly to his master, leaning against her leg with a faked but convincing whimper of fear. Despite his ploy, Jupiter was not completely unaware of his usual shenanigans, and despite the fact that she placed herself protectively over him, the look that the fiery fae placed upon the other woman was not unfriendly--but neutral.



"And just what is going on here?" she rumbled, shifting her weight and setting her tail even for balance should a threat actually be present, audits set at a neutral angle.

Rakshra

Seeing the new wolf approach and the small evil thing run up beside her and whimper, Rakshra chuckled. What a stupid creature. Hello, my name is Rakshra. It's a pleasure to meet you. she said with a bow. I haven't seen you around here before. But then again, I have just returned and have only met a few wolves. What she said wasn't true. When she had first been in the land of Alacritis she had encountered Jupiter once or twice, and she watched her fight for a pack. Rakshra was going to fight for leadership as well, but had decided it wasn't the right time. The desire to lead a pack no longer burns firey within her. Of course, the desire is still there, it is simply just not as strong.

Ears tipped back slightly at the suddenly friendly introduction, eyes narrowing with unease and apprehension as she regarded the other female. The dialogue was so dangerously sudden that it aroused the slightest bit of suspicion in Jupiter's mind. Why was the woman so eager to cast out her identity? Her flicker of outward show of her emotions quickly reverted back to neutral calm, no longer allowing her expression to display her thoughts at the slightest. It might not even be her real name... she pondered briefly, shifting her weight but going on, glancing down at the companion clutching her leg.



"Are you two having issues?" came her guarded inquiry. She didn't mean to be rude but the plain fact in the matter was that Mercury came first in her life (when her children weren't around, that was) and should there be a threat to him, she was prepared to deal with it accordingly.
