lights are on but no ones home

Oh man what had Hanako gotten herself into? She'd always had a case of itchy paws but damn she really ought to have thought better than to wander headfirst into a deep and dark cave. Common sense told her to turn around and head back into the sunlight but whilst she was a lot of things she'd never considered herself to be a chicken before. What's the worse that could happen, hm? She lingered by the mouth of the cave for a moment longer, swinging her weight back and forth between front and back paws before she took another hesitant step into the abyss. She couldn't help but wonder what laid hidden out of sight, waiting to be found. A myriad of childhood stories sprung to mind, tales of monsters, magic and treasures, and her heart raced at the thought of adventure. She'd just have a little nose around, alright? Relieved that there was no voice of reason to stop her she pushed on, her pale form soon enveloped by shadows.
