Dainty, ivory paws landed on top of one of the many fallen pieces of stone with a graceful leap, pausing there for a moment as she looked around from her new vantage point. She was humming and singing softly to herself, dancing lightly along the length of the oddly rectangular piece of rock. It had clearly been some sort of monument or sculpture at some point in the past, but now it made a perfect platform for her stage. She strutted as if she was walking down a runway or along the front of a stage and she imagined she had a crowd sitting there, watching her performance. A grin crossed her face and she did a quick spin that she ended with a flourish of her tail as she continued to hum and sing some of the tunes that had stuck with her during Valhalla's festival. They had wormed their way into her head and just would not let go.

A leap took her from one piece of rock to another, this one on its short side so it gave her a more narrow path that was a bit higher in the air. Her imagination sent her from pop star to dare devil or tight rope walker and she began to walk with one paw placed carefully place right in front of the other. Her russet shoulders and spotted haunches swayed gently with each step, her tail swaying from one side to another to help her keep balance even though this rock was still plenty wide enough for her to walk normally. Sure, she could just walk to the other end, but what was the fun in that? The only thing that would make this any better was an actual audience of some kind to enjoy her performance, but thus far her adventures across the north had been woefully lonely. Perhaps the next territory she found would be different...

Eyrún was bored, dreadfully bored, and the lack of her former band's presence had been causing her significant unease. It wasn't like Valkyrie, nor the rest of Hjarrandi, to not gather at the turn of a season... but she was having difficult locating any of them. For the Finnvi woman, being bored was never a good thing. Nothing good came from boredom, nothing at all, and today she was feeling particularly restive. Without the guidance of her band, without a sign from her gods, what did she have to do? Eyrún would search for a sign for as long as it possibly took to find one, or even find a semblance of one, but that didn't stop her from growing edgy in the process. Her two new companions, a set of twin ravens, had been helpful in acting as two extra pairs of eyes, reporting back to her what she could not see unaided. Growing used to their company, as well as their signals, was proving difficult. They did not speak as wolves did, but they found ways of their own to alert her. Currently they were doing just that. A faint, distinct call echoed twice overhead and Eyrún headed toward the sound. Two short calls meant stranger, one (or ones) that didn't signify any danger, at least that they suspected.

Traveling at a leisurely pace over the flat terrain, she slowed as a stranger came into view. Whatever she was doing was quite bizarre, strutting around from one oddly-shaped stone to the next, but admittedly Eyrún quite enjoyed the sight. She didn't mind hanging back for a moment, unabashedly watching the spectacle. It mattered little to her if the stranger had any idea that she was being watched or not; it was her right to enjoy the show if she wanted to, at least in her mind. A bout of shrill laughter finally left her lips, breaking the relative silence that settled over the Stone Steppe as she drew toward the crumbling rock structures. "Bravo, bravo!" She cheered, lifting a paw to the cool stone as she finally closed the distance between herself and the particular rock Elise was climbing. "I didn't expect a show today." Eyrún's words were laced with a faint bit of laughter, which tended to be her typical tone - teetering on the edge of uncomfortable amusement, but not quite reaching it fully.

Elise's inner monologue was interrupted by the sound of laughter and it made her stop mid step so that she could look back over her shoulder at the lovely, cream colored woman that stood a short distance away. Well, it appeared she had an audience after all! At least her little solo performance hadn't gone completely to waste then. She watched as the stranger walked closer to her, cheering for the performance she had just given with an adorable bit of laughter mixed into her tone. A grin flashed across Elise's features and she chuckled a bit herself as she turned around to face her new acquaintance with a graceful curl of her body. She took a few steps toward the end of the rock where the woman waited before lowering the front half of her body toward the stone in a low, sweeping bow. "I live to entertain," she insisted with a giggle before standing again to continue crossing the small distance between them.

Elise settled herself onto her stomach on the cool stone, letting herself settle nose to nose with the other woman, her pale, ivory paws dangling over the edge of the rock. She hadn't really gotten to flirt - or even just have a conversation for that matter - with another woman since she last saw Mercy so this was a lovely change of pace. She quite liked the woman's subtle coloring and the steel hues of her eyes were quite different from anything she had seen before. "I'm Elise, by the way. Traveling show woman by day, masked vigilante by night," she said to introduce herself, grinning a bit at her own bad joke. She crossed her front paws neatly over one another as she considered her solo audience member with a slight tilt of her head. "Who do I have the pleasure of entertaining today?"

Eyrún hadn't considered how the stranger might react to her little moment of observation, but then again it didn't entirely matter to her either. As far as she was concerned, she was free to do whatever she wished in this world, and she'd be damned if anyone tried to stop her. Luckily for them both, Elise didn't seem displeased with her sudden barrage of laughter, though the jovial sound faded as soon as she was acknowledged. "Do you, now?" Eyrún spoke up, a brow quirked in amusement. "That's wonderful, because I live to be entertained." Well, first and foremost she lived for her gods, and her own desires came second - but fortunately for her, the desires of her gods aligned quite closely with her own most of the time.

She tilted her head toward Elise and where she settled down on the stone, eyes bright and nearly unblinking as she examined her. She was quite lovely, with that vibrant red fur contrasting sharply against the rest of her coat. Eyrún hadn't been blessed with such an appearance, so it was natural to appreciate those that had been. "A pleasure indeed, Elise. I'm Eyrún Finnvi, loyal servant of the gods, day or night matters naught," though she was grinning, her voice had an air of seriousness that made it clear she wasn't saying that in jest.

Elise gave Eyrún a curious lift of her brows when she spoke of being a servant of gods. It was the first she'd ever heard gods besides in the sense of a curse or a swear. She'd never heard of anyone actually believing or serving gods before so she was interested if for no other reason than she liked to learn about others and how they thought. Pretty and interesting, what a great candidate for a conversation. She liked when beauty met up with brains - it made for a much more entertaining conversation. She could still make use of a dumb, hot wolf of any kind, but for much more limited purposes.

"Loyal servant of the gods, hm?" she asked as she stretched out her form a bit more comfortably, letting her hind legs slip out from under her and lay off to one side while she kept her front half up right by leaning on one elbow. "Will you tell me about your gods? How do they liked to be served?" Normally she wasn't one to take things very seriously or ask serious questions, but these she delivered with an actual interest and intrigue as she let her sapphire eyes linger on Eyrún curiously, although a a small smirk touched her lips as she added, "I'd be happy to put on another show for you in exchange if you'd like." Perhaps staying serious wasn't exactly her thing.

Amusement flickered in her pale gaze, despite her serious words. "Indeed," Eyrún replied quickly. She felt no shame in her beliefs, and wouldn't hesitate to share them, regardless of what others might think of her. Fortunately this Elise seemed at least interested, if nothing else. That alone was a success in her mind. "A loyal servant indeed." The truth was that calling her a servant of the gods wasn't quite accurate, nor did it encompass exactly what she believed herself to be. She was merely a tool to be used by them, to spread their word and to do their bidding, whatever that might be.

A faint smirk tugged at her lips as she slowly reclined to her hindquarters. "That sounds like a fair enough exchange for me," she agreed, appreciating the offer. Elise was quite lovely on the eyes and she wouldn't say no to a show, even if she had no qualms about spreading information about her gods without any form of payment in return. "What exactly would you like to know? There are many gods, and they each like to be served in different ways. Some prefer to be praised, others preferring offerings and other rituals." The list of gods she could spout off for Elise was endless, and for a moment she was lost as to where she should begin. "For example, there's Freyja, the goddess of love, of sex, and war." And so many other things, but Eyrún didn't want to over-complicate her little lesson here. "She seems to enjoy being honored through action. To love in her name is to worship her. She's also fond of certain sacrifices," she added, content to leave that part ambiguous

Elise grinned when Eyrún accepted her offer, agreeing that it was a fair exchange. She liked knowing that her advances and flirting weren't going unnoticed and the smirk she got in response told her that was the case. The cream hued woman was a bit harder to read than the men she had been with most recently, but she kind of liked that. It was an added challenge and Elise certainly liked a challenge. With her flirting and chasing after affection momentarily put on hold, she settled in to listen to the beginnings of an explanation from the interesting, beautiful woman about her gods and beliefs.

She didn't really know what to expect of it, but her brows lifted with surprise when the first she spoke about was the goddess of love, sex, and war. It made Elise smirk to know that there was a goddess specifically dedicated to a few of her favorite things and it seemed only fitting that she also be included in the act of war. What was war if not a more violent act of passion? She was certain that there had to have been wars fought over the love of someone or something so it made sense in her mind. She wanted to ask for some more specifics and details around what "actions" and "love" counted toward honoring this goddess, but she decided to just let her imagination put together the rest.

"Is there a god or goddess for everything then? How do you keep them all straight?" It did seem like an awful lot to remember if there was really as many different gods as she imagined. She supposed if this woman really was as passionate about her beliefs as she seemed then maybe that was what drove her to memorize it all, but Elise just couldn't see herself caring about anything that much.

Eyrún could easily talk about her gods and goddesses, Æsir and the Vanir, for as long as she wanted. Her faith was not the quiet, private type; she would loudly declare her beliefs for any who cared to listen. Whatever they wished to know, she would gladly teach them; spreading what she believed was important, even if she knew few would be so easily converted, much to her displeasure. "Some gods and goddesses take far more kindly to action than to sitting and praying quietly. Most like being called upon and praised, but for my gods.. sitting around and praying quietly isn't really their style," Eyrún explained, grinning toothily.

"I suppose you could say there's a god for everything. They're responsible for everything you see, after all." Would she question her? Eyrún knew that everyone had the freedom to believe what they wanted, even if their opinions were wrong, and she understood that; but she was easily agitated when they disrespected her own beliefs by denying them as if they were stating truth. She waited for a beat before continuing on. "And remembering them is as easy as anything else. My childhood was spent learning about them. Only when you properly understand how they came about and shaped our world can you understand how best to honor them. It's not something I learned overnight," Eyrún admitted with a low laugh.

Eyrún’s grin was contagious as she spoke of her gods that favored action over quiet prayer. It certainly seemed like her kind of religion - not that she had really experienced or heard about any others besides this one. Getting out and doing something was most certainly more her style than just sitting around and hoping that something was going to happen so at least that was something that these gods had going for them. It wasn’t really like she was out here looking for gods to follow, but it was interesting to hear about them and she respected the belief of them if nothing else.

She hummed thoughtfully when Eyrún explained that there was a god for everything since they were responsible for everything. In that way it made sense and she found herself nodding along in agreement as her gaze drifted over the landscape around them. All of this had to come from somewhere and if others wanted to believe that it was the gods that made all of this come to be then she didn’t see anything wrong with that. It was as good an explanation as anything she supposed.

When her explanation moved on to cover how the had learned about them in the first place Elise brought her eyes back to the light colored woman in front of her. She supposed it made sense as well that something like this would have been taught to her growing up and therefore would have stuck well in her mind. It was probably similar to how she still remembered and followed all the manners and family stories her father had taught her as a pup and still exhibited a lot of those things without really thinking about it.

This had all been an incredibly interesting and thought provoking lesson, but the fun-loving red head couldn’t help the little flirtatious quip that came to mind. She grinned a little as she asked, "And which of your gods is responsible for how beautiful you are?”

Her faith was definitely unique, at least in terms of some of the religions that she knew existed. Her gods were not quiet, polite gods - some were loud and angry, even vengeful. Most were best served by living, not by sitting by idly and quietly praying. There was a time and a place for that, sure, but most didn't support a life of idleness. Existing to one's fullest was the best way to begin serving her gods, at least according to her. She grinned lightly as she explained this to Elise, glad to see the interest shining in her bright eyes. There was little Eyrún loved more than speaking of her faith, and spreading the greatness of her gods, at least to any who cared to listen.

She wasn't the least bit offended when the talk shifted to a little flirtatious quip, shifting away from more serious matters. Eyrún let out an airy laugh. "Most likely Freyja," she explained, a note of seriousness to her voice. "She is responsible for all things relating to beauty, love, and sex." Being blessed by Freyja with physical beauty and fertility was a great honor. Being received by her in Fólkvangr after death was the highest honor, and something Eyrún could only dream of achieving. "And clearly she has blessed you too," Eyrún she raised an eyebrow, appreciating her where she lay.

Elise smirked a little as Eyrún gave her what seemed like a seemingly serious answer to her question, clearly as dutiful to her beliefs as ever. However, the hint of a flirtatious remark at the end was enough to keep Elise interested and brought another grin to her lips. She giggled softly and got herself gracefully to her paws, asking, "You think so?" coyly while walking in a tight circle on top of the rock she had been resting on, ending it with a flick of her tail as she faced the cream-hued fae again. Amusement and a daring temptation glittered in her sky blue gaze though she still couldn't tell if she could manage to get Eyrún interested in anything more than a subtle flirtatious banter. Not that it really mattered - the banter was just as entertaining to her as anything else. It was like a fun little game to see who would cave first.

With a light laugh, she hopped down from her make shift stage, putting her back on the same level as her new acquaintance. As she made her smooth leap down to the ground, she couldn't help but do it close to Eyrún's side so that as she landed their sides lightly brushed together in what might have seemed accidental to anyone that didn't know better. She turned to face the religious woman again without a hint of apology in her gaze and a slight grin lingering on her lips. From this vantage point she could see that she was a bit taller than the other woman, but not by a large margin - maybe a handful of inches if she had to guess.

"I believe I owe you another show for your lesson," she commented, giving Eryún a curious look. "What sort of entertainment would you like most?"
