She thought heavily on Sirius and his words and accusations towards her young brother. Venom had witness his onslaught towards Hanako, if she couldn’t handle that it was her own fault. The soon to be empress had no sympathy. For the unprovoked attack, that one made her take pause. She wouldn’t chastize him for having a mouth, but going after one of the Armada’s wolves was not in the realm of forgiveness. She had to get the story from both sides.

Sirius said that Chimera’s opinion didn’t need to matter, but there was a foolish part of her that had been holding out hope that she could trust him one day. That his raw power could be harness instead of whittled away. He was already so strong, but there was so much he lacked. A lack of loyalty to herself and the crown being chief among them.

A huff left her lips as she left the palace and made her way to the shrine. It was easily midnight and the soft glow of the waters lit the clearing above it. Venom slithered into position by the glowing water before lifting her head to call for her brother. If he didn’t show up for her at least the decision moving forward would be an easy one.

Since his sleeping space had once been disturbed by the annoying spotted girl from the Armada, Chimera had made his sleeping space in a small clearing in the middle of the white woods. The purple bastard had found him here, but he hadn't been nearly as annoying so Chi hadn't seen a reason to leave. Now he might have one though. His sister was calling him and from not too far off. Disgusting. He was still furious with her. Now that Siren wasn't here to take care of him, he was edgy and uncomfortable. Dissatisfied. At first he thought about leaving her call unanswered, but eventually he decided to see what in the hell she wanted. He could at least confront her over Siren. Standing, the giant child shook out his two-toned pelt. It was looking a little matted and he hadn't been eating well since his sister had been given away. There was no one to take care of him now, so his appearance was bound to change, wasn't it? Stalking out of the white trees, Chimera's eyes narrowed as he spied his quilled sister. Moving forward, the boy stared her straight in the eye. He didn't speak, he simply glared. "Speech"

She waited much less time than she had anticipated, magenta eyes found the tall form of her adolescent brother in quick order. He was quick on his stilt like legs, but he didn’t look near as sleek as he had when they’d collected the honey together. His eyes burned like fire, though she couldn’t decide how that was possible in his unseeing eye. Chimera’s gaze fell on hers and it didn’t flinch as he stopped before her.

Venom didn’t react, her gaze was just as hard but she didn’t possess the waves of anger that rolled off of him. The young Empress was calm, for now. ”Chimera.” She addressed him cooly. Though she vaguely knew that the boy had been spending time with their sister, enough to injure her, Venom did not realize the depth of their relationship, so she had no idea of his unhappiness with her there. What she’d brought him here for was much more serious. ”I received a disappointing report about you. Care to explain?” She asked and opened up the floor to him.

Really? No apology? He had been the disappointing one? What. A. Fucking. Joke. The boy sneered, his lip peeling away from one large white fang for a moment. She was infuriating. Where in the hell was his mother? Had she fully abandoned them? She surely hadn't been much of a presence during his life. His father had been there even less. The boy had raised himself. He felt as though he had raised Siren too. Yet here this bitch was, saying that he was a disappointment. "How am I to dispute a report given if I'm not aware of what was reported?" If she wanted to be tedious, he could be tedious as well. Still he didn't break her gaze, staring hard into her magenta eyes with his own cold, mismatched pools. When she stopped beating around the bush, they could get into the heart of the matter. "Speech"

Well, she hadn’t been expecting much from her first enquiry but there had been hope that he would be forthcoming about his faults and mistakes. She shouldn’t have been surprised when he went on to draw out the interacting. She raised her brow as he snarled at her, but she made no move to retaliate. She didn’t raise her hackles nor return his snarl. Not even flicking her tongue in response. For such a young Klein he was serious about holding her gaze, but he let his emotions rule him much too strongly. She’d only just called him and he was threatening violence already, she hadn’t been wrong in her assessment of uncontrollable.

”You’ve been accused of attacking a member of the Armada unprovoked.” She replied, voice even, ignoring the fact that Sirius hadn’t been happy about his outburst at Hanako. Only then would her tail wave lightly at her hips, the only outward sign of her annoyance.

Ah, so the one that he'd attacked had been an Armada wolf. Pity he hadn't known that then. He'd have done his best to kill her. Or enslave her. That would have only been fair. Take one of his, he'd take one of theirs. The stare down continued. He refused to look away. He barely blinked. This was an accusation that he couldn't deny. There was crusted blood on the black side of his neck and the wounds hadn't been tended to. Siren would have done that. "How am I supposed to keep track of every wolf in the land? Make all of the Armada wolves wear bells." A good suggestion. Then he could hear them coming before they woke him up. "If I did attack an Armada wolf, it's your fault." Here it came. All of the pent up frustration. "You gave them my sister." The boy growled now, his pelt bristling. "She was mine. She was not yours to give." He couldn't say that he needed her, but he did. Without Siren, he had nothing. Without Siren, he was just a furious, empty boy. He took a step towards Venom, hackles raised. Would she accept the blame or would she deny it? "Speech"

She wasn’t paying his appearance much mind, but she should have noticed the untended wounds that littered him. He spoke, and though it wasn’t outright denial he claimed his excuse. Eyes still glaring into her own. The young Empress could feel the building tension, but she didn’t give into it. There was no difficulty in deciphering a pack wolf, especially one that belonged to Sirius. Venom wouldn’t answer, just kept her eyes on his as she allowed him to continue.

She barely contained her laughter. Venom would not allow him to get the better of her though, and kept her amusement bottled up. He was in for a giant dose of reality. Likely she should have done this quite a bit of time ago. ”You, broke the law.” Venom spoke softly, but her words had a deadly edge. Her quills rose and her lips pulled back slightly as he took a step forward. ”You, never had any claim on the girl.” She took her own step forward, eyes never leaving his, her confidence unwavering. ”You, have one chance to back down.” Her voice had lowered into a whisper, her body was tensed and ready to defend herself. This was her first real test, and she would not fail.

He was in the wrong? Was she out of her bloody mind? She had given their sister away like she was a fucking slave! Now Venom puffed herself up, her stupid quills raising. The boy growled low, taking another step forward. "Just because our whore mother abandoned the pack doesn't give you the right to give its members, her children, YOUR sister, away to another pack like a sack of meat." He was livid. His face began to fill with heat and his teeth began that all too familiar itch. He wanted to bite something. He wanted to tear into flesh. If Venom was the only one here... then she would have to do. Her words made his vision shake. He should back down? She should admit her fault. Again he stepped towards her. Their faces were an inch apart. He could feel her breath on his muzzle. He spat her words back at her his words more snarl than vocals. "I'll give you one chance to back down." She was just a lowly woman. He was still considered a child and he lacked experience, but he was a prince. She was beneath him. "Speech"

He spoke like he knew what he was talking about, and perhaps in his skewed version of things he really did feel that way. Chimera was a spoiled brat and didn’t have a clue. He spent his time moping, and thinking much too highly of himself. That was a trait that many of the Klein name held tightly to. Another reason to change how the Empire was run. Siren was likely in a much better place than she was here, for her own sake. Certainly not Chimera’s. Though the thought of making her own sibling a slave was a tempting one.

She stood her ground, not backing down, but not refuting his ridiculous claims either. The only way to win a game like this was to not play. She’d already stepped too far, but by now her blood was pumping with adrenaline. Venom was prepared to show him just who was in charge, there was no hesitation. Chimera closed the distance between them, she already knew that she shouldn’t have allowed him so close. He was bigger, but she was more experienced. If there was ever a time to shed her blood for the pack it was now. For the good of the Empire.

”So be it.” Venom wouldn’t give him any other warning as she aimed to leap toward to close the last few inches between them. She would attempt to use her shorter stature to her advantage as she swung her jaws open wide and aimed to wrap her teeth around his throat. At the same time leaning her weight into her coiled haunches to bring her cat claws down both of his shoulders before attempting to grip him tightly.

She was just so stupid. No doubt she thought that she was completely right and he was completely wrong. Just like a stupid woman. Just like his stupid mother. Women shouldn't lead. They should only follow. Only be slaves to the better sex. She should be bowing to him. Kissing his paws. She should be worshipping him. Instead, she was acting like a bloody fool. "So high and mighty now that mother isn't here to tell you no." His jaws snapped closed to her face as another snarl bubbled up within him. This was going to happen and he was going to enjoy it. She wasn't the only one with pent up frustrations. Venom came at him, but the distance was short and she didn't have much power. As her jaws opened, he would shift, giving her his shoulder instead. The claws biting into his flesh worked to his advantage. As she held onto him, the giant boy would attempt to swipe out with one forepaw. He would try to wrap it over her back and pull her tightly against him. He would then leap forward, trying to throw her into her back. He never confessed, he never showed any recognition of wrong doing, and he had no intention to ask why she saw his transgressions the way she did. Venom knew in thaht moment that she would not be able to bring him under heel. He was too wild, too uncontrollable, and much too volatile. Chimera would never be comfortable under her or any other wolf’s rule. Shee would have to break him, or banish him from the Empire completely. Kick the can down the road, let some other pack deal with him. Face those consequences later.

He was projecting his own complex onto her, Venom was well aware of her place. He didn’t realize how high above she was. Chimera and his litter were nothing, cursed bastards. Venom should have made him realize it when he was much smaller, it would have saved her some blood.

Her first instinct was to shake her head violently when her teeth met flesh. She wasn’t awarded his throat but his shoulder would do. Her quills extended, he’d earn himself quite a few in his arm, but she was pulled closer to him before being pushed to the ground. Venom wasn’t done yet. Her tail curled over her belly to protect her vulnerable bits as she kicked out with her sharp back claws, hoping to catch his underbelly or man bits with her strikes. Again she tried to go for his throat, to end the battle and prove who the more powerful one was.

Teeth sank into his shoulder and pain seared through him like a hot knife. The quills in his arm were less painful, but still irritating. The wounds burned, but his adrenaline was high. The pair went crashing to the ground and Venom's teeth pulled at his shoulder, ripping the flesh, but that was to be expected, wasn't it? Venom kicked up at him, but Chimera dropped his full weight down upon her, not giving her any room to kick. With his weight on top of her, the boys jaws finally parted and his neck curled downwards, seeking to sink into her throat just below her jaw. If he took a little bit of ear with it too, so be it. When her victory became clear Venom rolled away from Chimera with a growl. She returned to her feet, her hackles and quills still raised and her sharp gaze still on him. She was going to bruise painfully from him collapsing onto her, and from where his teeth found her flesh. Chimera hadn’t held back, and again she regretted painfully that he would not be brought to obedience. Venom didn’t ask for much, but he had crossed too many lines. She was the Empress, no matter if their mother returned or not.

”Get. The fuck. Out.” She was out of breath but the adrenaline hadn’t started to fade quite yet. Soon enough she would feel every bit of their battle. ”Get out now or I will ruin your life.” Venom pulled back her lips to bare her teeth at him once more. She lowered her head and her dual toned tail lashed at her hips. A growl resonated deep in her chest and she just barely restrained herself from biting at his haunches to encourage his retreat.

Venom had won the fight, but it was what he had expected. Everyone else seemed to forget it, but he was still under a year old. Despite this, he didn't take the loss hard. If you have your mind resigned to something, it was easier to accept it, right? There was blood pouring from his white shoulder and the wounds on his left shoulder had ripped open. The monochromatic child ran red. Adrenaline still flowed thickly and he didn't feel them yet. As Venom rolled away and spat out her foul vitriol, Chimera stood tall as though he was the victor. His tail was still curled over his spine in a show of dominance. As she spoke, he began to laugh. A low, snarling laugh. Bloodied lips curled back from equally bloodied teeth. Her blood. "Dear sister... I'll make you feel this one." Cryptic and vague though his response may be, he made it a promise. Rather than run, the boy simply turned and walked off. He didn't fear that she would attack him from behind. Even if she did, he would just fight her again. The gears in his head were turning. How could he bring down the Empire? How could he utter destroy the family that had betrayed and abandoned him? It was something that he would soon figure out. "Snarl"
