They were free, him and Runa both, and the young man felt like he could breathe again.
Shame that breath was cut off all too quickly…
He was running, wings pressed to his sides with Jessie and James hiding in his herb bag. His heart was pounding rapidly in his chest as delicate, rounded paws carried him past trees of sweet smelling fruit.
If he wasn’t running for his, and his companion’s, life currently he would have taken a moment to enjoy them. But he could hear the massive red she wolf following after him, fiery gaze blazing as she snarled after him.
“Get back here you little shit!”
Narcisse Kedieo; his half-sister, his aunt, and a woman who wanted his dead.
The fiery eyed woman was bearing down on the winged wolf and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep running. He was getting tired, his legs aching, but he knew the moment he stopped she would catch him.
Tears stung his light green eyes and Gav didn’t dare look over his shoulder…
...why hadn’t he just stayed close to Runa!?
He could smell someone though, and not even considering the fact that they might be just as dangerous he called out.
“Please! Please if you can hear me; help me!”

As his mate and alpha, Bellamy is allowed in any of Gavroche's threads regardless of how they are marked.

Rhona was slowly beginning to test her boundaries and her courage as she began to venture a bit farther out from the Armada's territory more and more. Granted, this wasn't exactly that far from home if she was being honest, but it felt incredibly far for her. After her first encounter with Naiche and how... "well" it had gone, she felt even more determined to prove him wrong and start pushing herself to do more and be more brave. It was admittedly difficult, but she knew it was just mind over matter at this point. She had to believe that Aslatiel was right and that wolves weren't the way she had grown up to believe they were here. The only proof she had of that here was the wolves she lived with in the Armada, but continuing to live in fear wasn't going to get her very far either. As she slowly made her way through the orchard, she stopped when she heard the sound of paws hitting the ground. It made her freeze and look around frantically for the source. She was only able to pin point where they were when she heard someone calling out for help. Her amber eyes landed on an unusual wolf with orange markings and... wings? She blinked with surprise for a moment, but it was honestly hard to make out much detail about him with how he was currently running. Her eyes landed on the wolf that was chasing after him next and for a moment she didn't know what to do. She wanted to help, but how? How could she help? She knew too well what it felt like to be helpless and not know where that help was going to come from and she didn't want anyone else to feel that way. She had to try and help. Just letting them go wasn't going to sit well with her. With her heart pounding nervously in her chest, she took off in a sprint toward the pair, weaving through the trees to try and cut off the woman at the pass. Bracing herself the best she could, Rhona leapt toward the woman that was chasing after this unusual man. She basically tackled the woman, grabbing a mouth full of her scruff and wrapping her forelegs around the other's neck. The momentum from her leap and the other woman's sprinting sent them tumbling across the ground. Rhona held on as tightly as she could, closing her eyes while the world went tumbling around her. Eventually they came to a stop when they tumbled into the trunk of a tree with Rho's side taking the worst of the impact. With the chase effectively stopped, Rho let her go and quickly scrambled away from the attacker, getting to her paws before the other could and backing away a bit before the stranger could get her teeth into her. Panting and trying to ignore the pain in her side from where she had tumbled into the tree trunk, she positioned herself between the woman and the winged man, dropping into the defensive stance Sirius had taught her and that she had practiced with Aslatiel. For once she actually felt like she might be able to do this and actually made a difference in something and that alone was something that shook and surprised her more than she had expected it would. |
