Naiche wasn’t going to look forward to this, and he was still struggling in his mind how he would get her to accept his sort-of-apology. The wheat-toned wolf couldn’t be sorry for telling their warlord the truth. Would she accept he was sorry she got in trouble for his admitting the truth? If not could he put things another way she would accept? Following her scent trail, he found some irony in the fact he was going to look for her in the same area they had fought together to scare off the lion. It had been a great fight, he still remembered the rush of excitement that came as he stared death in the fact. Really, he had been pretty sure they were both goners. What should he say? Did he want to be her friend? No, that would just mean more trouble and more taunting. It worked back to saying he was sorry but how could he say that if he didn’t feel he had done wrong? Naiche let one part of his mind toss that puzzle around as the attentive part kept up with her scent trail as he moved through the forest. Really, he did need to get back on better terms with her but this was just going to mean more future trouble if he succeeded and wasted time if he failed. Speech:"Live to fight" Think

Aslatiel hadn't been herself lately. Not since she and Indy had spent their night out under the stars. They had agreed to try and love other people since loving one another would only result in heartbreak and shame. It was...hard. They had always been two halves of a whole and now they were separates. It felt wrong but they had to try.
The cream, grey and teal girl was slowly turning into a young woman. Her baby fat was melting away and she was starting to feel as though she might actually be pretty. Bas certainly made her feel pretty. Indy had always made her feel pretty. Now she was starting to believe it. At the moment, however, she was far from pretty.
Aslatiel was elbow deep in the guts of a pig. Her forelegs, chest and chin were dark with blood. As usual, she'd brought her prey to her tree. It was an old growth tree. The base was littered with various bones of many different creatures. Bones even hung from the branches like macabre wind chimes. Some ways up the tree was a flat section between the branches. This was where Asla slept, surrounded by her kills.
Pawsteps brought grey ears swiveling backwards and she had a smile prepared for Basilisk. When her plum colored eyes landed upon the wheaten form of Naiche, however, she frowned. What was he doing here? Looking for more reasons to tattle on her? With an audible exhale through her dusty brown nose, Asla went back to digging in the entrails of her prey.

Naiche was a bit surprised at the sight of her decorated tree. No, that wasn’t true, he was very surprised and undecided what to make of her bone palace. He had clearly found her home away from home. She certainly looked different out here, her whole front part coated in blood. Whatever, that wasn’t so horrible she might be a bit extra sloppy with her eating habits but that wasn’t any of his concern. Naiche considered the look of it all for a few more heartbeats before focusing on her. “Sorry to disrupt your meal.” What a great start Naiche softly chided himself, “Well, in context what I came to say was I’m sorry if you got in trouble due to me. That hadn’t been my intent when I spoke with Sirius.” Naiche wasn’t the best with sounding overly sympathetic with a plight, it wasn’t just her or anyone else, he just tended to take on a more formal tone. Of course Naiche would love to point out if she had been honest in the first place the scenario would not of happened to begin with. It was her rotten idea that caused the entire situation. “It was fun, and you’re an impressive fighter. You’re the only reason it fled.” Would compliments help at all? Maybe or maybe not, but she had earned those either way. Speech:"Live to fight" Think

Sorry to interrupt your meal? Asla wanted to scoff. Instead she said, "Haven't taken a bite." She was elbow deep in pig for the fun of it. The young wolf had always enjoyed the squelchy squish of entrails between her toes. Maybe she'd mount the head on a spike when she was done and watch it slowly decay. She could always use more skulls.
Naiche surprised her by apologizing. She didn't let that surprise show on her face. Instead she grasped the pigs heart in her claws and ripped it from the open cavity. Asla placed it between herself and pee fur before stepping away from the split porcine. Moving closer to her tree, the bloodied girl began to clean the gore from her paws and forelegs. It would have been easier to just go jump in a stream, but she was making a show of it.
The corn muffin then complimented her skill in battle. Asla didn't raise her eyes, but she did raise one paw. Spreading her toes, she flexed her sharp feline claws, inspecting them absently. "Good of you to notice." She'd beaten his tail. She'd beaten a lions tail. Why was he telling her things that she already knew?
Asla was still mad at him. He'd betrayed her trust and as such whatever friendship she imagined they had was dissolved. Naiche would have to do a lot more than apologize to get himself into her good graces again. He'd broken the rules. It was a long way back to thr starting line.

She wasn’t eating it? There was something unnatural about tearing something apart just to do it. There was something besides Asla’s personality that didn’t agree with Naiche. Though after a second thought what did he care? If she wanted to dig around in some creature's gut and entrails that was her business. So much for any hope of apologizing for doing a lick of good. He hadn’t expected this to be easy but he had loped for a tiny bit more. Naiche couldn’t label himself as surprised, well other than the gore he had found her digging around in. Naiche glanced at theart then back up at Asla, “That’s all I came to say.” Though he was wondering how much of a big deal could it really be for her daddy to be unhappy? She wasn’t injured and he still didn’t feel his decision had been wrong. Naiche’s loyalty was to Sirius first. Asla had deceived him so that he couldn’t have told her what he would do afterward before her game began. She wouldn’t understand his logic and would likely only anger her more. “I’ll leave you to your fun.” The tone had switched to formal, if that was how she wanted things then that was the end of it. Naiche had done his part and if he got lucky Asla would go jump off a cliff. That would certainly solve dealing with her in the future. Some part of him knew he didn’t mean it, but right then it sure sounded damn good. Speech:"Live to fight" Think
