Torin had let it stew for a few days, roving over his options as the days went on but he knew where his heart was. Lirim had been his passion, he'd spent so long agonizing over his role in the pack and anxiety over his ability to lead the pack in the wake of his family and Frost and now... well now he knew what was most important to him. His wife and son. But he knew that meant he had to let down his pack one last time. His kids had been told of course but he'd been unable to bear telling Kairi before he made his official choice. She was the last connection to their parents he had and he was worried she'd finally join them all in being disappointed in him, but his wife and child were more important to him than anything else anymore. That didn't make what he was about to do any easier. Torin settled himself in a clearing and tipped his head back to call for his pack to convene, one last time. Eir has been doing her duties as she had always done, making sure the borders and the overall’s territory was safe from threats and anything that shouldn't belong here. She has been just doing what she did best, and that was protecting those she loved. Eyes of cyan lurked through her home as she walked in complete silence. But then a call from Torin reached her ears, making her drop her territorial inspection and start walking towards the meeting without hesitation. She was loyal to him and Lirm and she would always answer his call. And there she arrived taking a seat looking in silence at Torin. "Speak"

Aranea spent most of her time outside of the pack and occasionally even a night but she almost always tried to come around daily or nightly rather. Her excuse was to be herb collecting but that wasn't entirly true. She was still fighting hard to face her inner demons and though she was much stronger than her previous years it seemed she would never get better. When Torin called she wouldn't waste a moment to join him. She swore an allegiance to him to make up for her past mistakes not necessarily toward him but all together. And she wanted to mend whatever kind of relationship they had left. Her delicate paws slightly trekked through the valley and took a quiet seat before him. Not saying anything even as one of the first wolves there, but just trying to welcome him with a gentle smile. She wasn't really comfortable looking at her pack mate being she hadn't spent the time to get to know them but tried not to let her self-consciousness show. Torin may have noticed otherwise however. I JUST WANT A TASTE

Eraithus had been in a haze for some time now. Going out at night his body felt a little rough. A lot of his time had been spent hunting for sport, although he was sure to either bury his used prey or place it somewhere the pack could eat it. He couldn't say it was really pulling his own weight. All the rabbits he had been killing for blood most of the time didn't reach it anywhere safe. He cursed to himself - wasting prey like that. He needed to shape up soon or he would either be discovered or else. Lirim had only been a safe haven over his head, he hadn't interacted with its members nor had he really taken an interest in their affairs. His brother and sister were gone and he had no direction to go in.

Regardless he headed towards the call. Taking his seat far from the others. The blue wolf curled his tail around his bodice and looked at Torin. The man had shown him some kindness but the tightness in the air around him made him nervous. Eraithus didn't care really if he was asked to leave. He was a profugus after all, the wolf looked around for a moment before turning his attention back. Best pay attention and try to ignore his withdrawals.

For what was going on Lachlan felt pretty good, physically at least. Emotionally he’d been a little rough, knowing where his brother and mother were only caused him to sink into himself. He was a quiet young wolf anyway, but the fate of his kin struck him to his core. His lithe form appeared in the clearing after his father had called, it was hard to remember that he was an adult now. He’d lived so long under his father’s protective wing this dose of reality was difficult to wade through.

He wondered only slightly what his father called the pack together for but as he made his way to sit close to Torin his body tensed. The tension in the air was palpable. Lachlan leaned lightly against his father’s strong form in support as he waited.

When Torin's call rang out, Aryn did not need to speculate on the reason to call the meeting together. It would be a hard day for all of them - all of them except hopefully Derecho and Paddy. The knowledge of what had happened to her mother and brother was hard to bear, it was weighing heavily on her and likely her siblings and father too. Aryn took her time answering Torin's howl, eventually convincing herself to crawl from her den and pad across the valley towards the meeting area. Already others were gathering, and seeing Lach already present she aimed to move up alongside him and her father to wait for the meeting to begin. She wasn't sure if she could meet the gaze of any of the other members, not knowing what she did about Lirim's future.

Wyndelin was slowly getting settled into Lirim. Although he still had a tendency to roam he was managing to adjust and was just happy to see his brother again, even if the news about the rest of the family was less than good. He still hoped that the rest of his siblings would find their way home eventually. Wyndelin was finishing storing some hides when he heard Torin calling to assemble the pack. Wynd quickly tucked away the last deer hide before slipping out of his den. He called to Flikkr and the duo headed to the source of the call. They arrived at the meeting and Wyndelin moved to take his seat. There were already a number of other wolves, wolves he struggled to name. Wyndelin had kept to himself a fair bit since joining. "Talk"

He was just dragging in a fresh kill, for anyone who may be hungry. He had been keeping to himself mostly and spending time with his brother. Relieved that Wyn had returned home. They were catching up slowly since Eurus was still working through his own emotional issues. Even though he was working through things and keeping to himself he was still doing his duties. Border patrols had been added to his duties in an effort to help out Torin in anyway he can.

He gently dropped his fresh deer kill and sighed briefly before his ears and head perked. Torin's call rang out across the pack lands, calling the pack together. His brows perked in curiosity as the call faded. Quickly turning and adjusting his direction before quickly heading to the call. When he arrived there was a good chunk of the pack already there and it didn't take him long to spot his brother. Eurus moved to sit beside Wyn shooting him a friendly grin before looking to Torin.

Lili had been beating herself up over the news basically since her father had given it to them. She'd been more or less absent, wandering far afield of Lirim since they'd returned from the island and she couldn't help but feel a little bit irresponsible now. Like she somehow could have been doing more to find her missing family. But the truth was she had been chafing under the expectations her rank had put her in, because she quite frankly hated the idea of being stuck in one place.

Now though? Well now she'd give up her freedom to get her mother and brother back in a heartbeat. So it wasn't a surprise when her father called for the pack and Lili was uncharacteristically quick to respond, sneaking her way in beside her brother and sister near their father, leaning against Aryn's smaller form to try and comfort her sister. She knew what was coming, but for now all she wanted was to feel like part of the family, for maybe the first time in a long time.

Torin tried to draw some comfort from his children as they filed in and settled themselves at his side, and he leaned into his son for a moment as he watched the rest of the pack filed, in somehow he somehow managed the energy to be disappointed when some members failed to show, especially his sister. But he had to focus on the task at hand... which was going to be hard enough as it was. He gave it a bit more time then once he was certain there would be no more stragglers sighed and spoke up. "Thank you all for your attendance, I will not mince words. I do not have good news today. As some of you may know my mate Derecho and one of our sons Pàdraig have been missing for some time now." He paused for a moment, composing himself as he started to feel his breathing waver. "Recently while patroling with my daughter we caught the first hint of them we've found in years, tracing it back to its source we met a young woman by the name of Recluse, who offered us enough proof to convince us she had Derecho and Paddy in her captivity and offered us a deal." He paused for a moment, feeling suddenly like he needed to explain himself. "Recluse did not offer her allegiance though it is no doubt she belongs to a pack and unfortunately Lirim doesn't have the strength to oppose another pack at this point in time. So I was left with little choice, Lirim or my family." God it sounded terrible when he said it like that. "I am sorry to have failed you all in protecting your home but I was left with no choice and have agreed to hand over Lirim to this Recluse. I however made sure no one who wanted to leave would be barred from doing so. I will be taking my family to Valhalla, which is under the rule of my cousin Aurielle, anyone who wishes to join us may do so, any of you who wish to leave of your own volition may do so in the next few days, and if there are any of you who wish to accept Lirim's new leader... you are also free to do so. The exchange will take place in a weeks time, you have until then to make your choices." And with that he'd wait, allow any who wished to speak to do so, accepting what was likely to be some amount of outrage. Talk Think

Wyndelin grinned at Eurus then turned his attention to Torin as the older man began to speak. Almost immediately, Wynd's heart sank. What now? His heart started to race as the alpha continued to speak, he could feel himself feeling faint as Torin stated that he was surrendering the pack. Wyndelin had fought and struggled to get home only to have it yanked right out from under his paws again. He turned to look at Eurus, What were they going to do? He didn't want to lose his brother again but he also wasn't sure he wanted to stay under this new leadership. Whoever was getting the pack clearly didn't give a shit about them if they were using pack members as pawns. "Talk"

His ears suddenly perked, Recluse! This woman's name was popping up in his life once more, he grinned for a moment and then let it fade into a frown. The response of Torin's people? He looked around for a moment, clearing his throat he stood forward. "Torin, it may not be my place to speak, but nobody could blame you for the choices you've made." perhaps it would ease the man's mind a bit. With Eraithus' heart beating against his chest though.... he didn't think he'd remain in this pack but no it wasn't even lirim anymore was it. "Personally I've met recluse before, I trust her therefore I'll be staying." He would say no more. It was not his place to vouch for Recluse. He would have to chat with her later and perhaps have a friendly chat.... Perhaps she could be the one to satiate his needs. The gentleman was happy to say the least.
