By the time Hanako arrived at Lirim's borders the sun was starting to set. Her journey whilst long hadn't been overly difficult, mostly due to the fact she'd chosen to skirt around the desert instead of cutting through. Sure, it would have cut down the travel time quite a bit but the thought of burning her nose again was more than enough to put her off. Her companions, Toshi and Ruri, seemed to share that sentiment as the trio stood side by side, staring up at the willow trees ahead. It was like looking at a mirror image of the willows back home, tall and shadowy, hiding who knows what behind the curtain of leaves. She sniffed the air just to make sure and the scent that flooded her nostrils was just as unfamiliar as she'd expected; muddy with a strong emphasis on flowing water. But more than that she noticed the lack of variety when it came down to individual scents along the border, she pursed her lips as she drew to a stop, her toes inches from the invisible line. If nothing she'd learnt that Lirim was on the smaller side, tiny compared to the Empire at least.

Tipping her head back Hanako let out a soft but polite awoo. She recalled the Aurielle had so graciously given her and rolled her eyes, there would be no paw kissing here, thank you very much. But this time Hanako had decided to bring a present in a show of good faith, a pretty bunch of flowers she was making Toshi carry. Sirius had suggested something from the store but Hanako had concluded it wouldn't have gone down very well, to offer a pack free food was if to say...well, it sort of implied you didn't think they were capable of feeding themselves. The same could be said for furs and pelts. Flowers on the other paw, who didn't like a pretty bouquet of flowers? Especially when delivered by such a pretty face.

Walk | "Talk" | Think

Eir was patrolling the borders as she always did, doing what she could to defend her piece of the world, her family. No one will be hurt not while she was around or alive, and those who dared to touch a hair from either Torin and her packmates would face the consequences she personality wished to offer. And there the woman went through the full length of the limits that separated Lirim from the rest of the world. Eyes of cyan cold and her posture showing no weakness or fear.

Then a howl reached her ears, one from an outsider. Narrowing her eyes slightly she headed there, hopping Torin wouldnt mind if she greeted the newcomer instead. If he, later on, wanted to dismiss her it was fine, but for now, she wanted to know.

And there she found a wolf standing on their borders. Approaching in a calm way she attempted to stop but not leaving her side of the borders. “Greetings, how may Lirim help you?”

It wasn't a good look to keep Hanako waiting for so long. She tapped her paw impatiently as her gaze roamed over the Willows once more, climbing to the tops of the trees before descending to the trunks. The wolves of Lirim were lucky given that she meant no harm and this was just a social visit, but if the situation had been different and this had been a raid well...She imagined the invaders could have easily gotten to the centre of their territory at this rate, perhaps even done some real damage before they were noticed. Though no one had yet met her at the border the silence said a lot and she stored the information away in the back of her mind. Shifting her weight to her hind  paws, Hanako shot Ruri a look. Maybe she should have her bird scout out the area, see why no one was coming to say hi. Perhaps the lights were on but no one was home?

Hanako was quickly starting to get bored and had been somewhat tempted to trespass to just have a nose around when finally someone arrived on scene. From posture alone she suspected they weren't the alpha but since she wasn't 100% sure she put that thought on the back burner for now. Instead she wagged her tail in a friendly greeting as she offered the ink dipped wolf the most sincere smile she could muster. Toshi stepped forward with the flowers he carried, offering them with a surprisingly polite dip of his head. It seemed even he could play his part when the time came, interesting.

"Hello! I'm Hanako, the Ashen Armada's diplomat. I'm just here on a social call, our packs haven't really had the chance to get to know each other so I thought I'd swing by and see if we can change that."   With a dainty flick of her snout she then gestured to the flowers her companion carried. "I got you these flowers, a token of our potential friendship."

Despite how carelessly she seemed to talk there was great care behind her words, each laid out with due consideration. She made no promises but her words were tempting nonetheless.

"And what about you...are you the alpha of these parts?"
