Álarr checked on the fire as he worked near Pesto's unconscious form. Valdís had brought the girl to him after a confrontation with an intruder. They'd placed her on a deer skin in the barn and Álarr started tending to her wounds. "Pesto? Hey, can you hear me?" He didn't want to start cleaning out the wound and have her wake up with a start. Especially when Byrn started the stitches. Álarr checked the moss he'd padded into the wound, it had done well to stop the bleeding and this kind would also help to prevent infection. Though he'd still feel better if they could get the wounds stitched closed.
Afi wasn't too far off, setting out a few bowls near the fire and digging around for their ointments and salves. "Hope they strung the trespasser up by the tail." As a cat he felt particularly strongly about territorial boundaries.

Pesto woke slowly to the fire of pain, one that was familiar and reminded her of Toxicity. The loss against her sister had been humiliating and scarring both physically and mentally, and as she woke a part of her expected to see the bitch standing over her with a sneer. Her eyes fluttered open, muzzle already wrinkled in a snarl. When it was not Tox but Alarr who she saw first - heard first - and the fight with Viper flooded back to the forefront of her mind. Further humiliation. "No. Put me back to sleep." She begged weakly, rolling her head back onto the furs and groaning. Maybe when all this was through she'd suggest to Alarr that any future patients be hit over the head with a brick so they might not need to feel the pain.
Pesto should have expected his participation being that Alarr was the lead healer, but still she'd rather be seen in her weakened state by anyone other then her very best friend. At the cat's comment her gaze slid back to him. "What did they do to her?" The last thing she remembered was Valdis coming in, and she didn't know whether she hoped the warrior woman was successful or not. On one hand if Viper kicked Valdis' ass too it meant Pesto's loss was less embarassing. Though perhaps a better pack member might just be happy to see justice served and the rest of her pack mates safe.

Glancing at Afi for a moment, Álarr turned his attention to Pesto a she saw her stir and ask quite plainly to be put back to sleep. "I'll give you something to help you sleep in a bit. I just wanted to let you know we're going to stitch the wound closed. I'm going to spread on an ointment to help numb it but it might sting at first." He carefully pulled the blood-soaked moss out of the wound and set it aside. He then took the ointment and carefully dabbed it on the wound before looking to Brynhilder to start the stitching with the thinned deer sinew.
"Nothing really. Valdís beat her in a fight then Jupiter and Tyrian showed up. Apparently Jupiter knows her but she didn't back down and got in a fight with Tyrian. Eventually she slunk off away from Fireside."

Pesto groaned as Alarr explained the treatment, squeezing her eyes shut tight. Stitches? Oh man, she'd rather have taken her chances with infection. Or bloodloss. Or anything else. "Are the stitches going to make it look better?" While Pesto was not the most prideful of women, she still cared more then she perhaps should. If Alarr thought her wounds ugly, she might not be able to resist crying over it. Already she felt the tears pricking at her closed eyes and she squeezed them tighter, her breath catching in her throat.
Stupid fucking intruder - and Jupiter knew her? Pesto hoped she'd remember to ream him a new one for even associating with the bitch. "I'm with Afi, they should have strung her up. But preferably by the neck." She huffed quietly, working her lip with her teeth. "Are Valdis and Tyrian okay?" They'd each had fights too, and any wounds they'd sustained would be Pesto's fault for not knocking Viper out when she had the chance.

Brynhildr threaded the thinned sinew through a bone needle and moved in to make a few quick stitches to help the wound heal. Álarr quickly started to talk to try and help distract Pestilence from the pain. "Yea, the stitches will help knit the wound so it doesn't leave a big scar." Of course he couldn't say for sure that it wouldn't scar. In all likely hood the wound was severe enough that it would leave a mark but he hoped to minimize any lasting damage and heal it as quickly as possible. Once Brynhildr was done, Álarr mashed up a poultice of yarrow and marigold which he then applied to the wound to help with the bleeding and any itching as it started to heal.
He nodded. "Yea, they should be ok. Most of their wounds were minor." He smiled encouragingly at Pesto. "Don't worry about it. I'm glad you were there to keep the intruder occupied so the others had time to arrive. Get some rest. If you want I can give you something to help you sleep."
