With Magnus having returned, the ratio of pack members who didn't entirely hate him had shifted. Az's dreams of winning the heir race weren't completely yet destroyed, and so he figured he should take advantage by luring maybe a few more to his side. Naiche was a decent fighter, in the competition for reaper and a friend of Asla's. He seemed the most likely candidate for team Azure, and he had asked for another spar in the future. Well the future was now. Azure trotted casually into the center of the area and flexed his toes in the sand. Today he had something a little different in mind for the in-training warrior. He tipped his head back to howl for the yellow man, the ghost of a smile upon his lips.

Both of Azure's ears have notches and tears.
Az has a scar across his right eye, a mirror image of his natural born marking.
Azure has saber fangs, bone spurs on his elbows and knees, and the paws/forelimbs of a bear.
Not all of these features are always reflected in his art.

Azure's companions are a very big bat and a young clouded leopard, unless otherwise stated assume they're not with him.

Naiche had been focusing on Pan improving his skills a bit. It had taken him a while to decide what Pan could really even do. The little guy had claws but he wasn’t meant for charging in and out of a close combat fight. His outer body could protect him from injury but standing the belly and face would be vulnerable to attack. The truth was Naiche didn’t see much room for Pan in a spar, but that was fine. The little guy had already proved dropping down from a height he could be affective which could be useful many areas near the armada lands even if not directly within them. Naiche was working some other ideas but for now, he was sitting near a tree watching Pan climb it. It was a matter of climbing up, then dropping down to land on Naiche’s back. In an actual fight, it would be well-aimed claws instead of the body landing on the target. So there they were Pan making his way along a branch to find the perfect spot to drop on Naiche when they heard Azure howl. “Hurry on then Pan,” Naiche was surprised that Azure would call him. The guy had seemed more tolerant of him at the end of the spar but he’d had the sense would rather not deal with Naiche. Once Pan climbed on Naiche took off at a lope till near the end of the plans then would make his way in a long-strided trot till he slowed to a walk when spotting Azure. “Azure,” polite curiosity in the name, “how can I help?”[/b][/color] There was a time for informality, a time for snarling and glaring, or a time to be polite. Until the guy gave him a reason to get pissed off he’d go with polite and respectful. Speech:"Live to fight" Think

Naiche arrived promptly and Az gave the man a stiff nod in greeting. He seemed to be in a pleasant - or at least polite - mood, so perhaps the day they'd met he was simply grouchy at fighting off a lion. Az could at least appreciate the mood swings of a pained wolf, and for now he reserved judgement on the budding warrior. "Naiche. Your wounds look healed, that's good. I think it's time for our rematch."[/b] The last time they'd fought Naiche had done his best but ended the battle at his paws. Surely the yellow man had learned something in the encounter, whether general strategy or merely a way to counter Az's own he wasn't sure. Regardless, he did not intend on giving Nai a 'do-over'. This would be something new, and harder. He shook out his shoulders, causing the taxidermy armor upon his back to flutter it's feathers. From behind one paw his clouded leopard peeked out, and his bat came to land upon his hindquarters. Az would use every benefit available to him, and thus so could Naiche. "I'd like you to call for someone - anyone." He started, glancing up at the sky and wondering how much time they'd have before the ride rose and wet the arena at their feet. "Whomever you'd like, but preferably a fighter. They'll fight at my side against you, and we'll see how you do when you're outmatched in number." And skill. Azure did not verbalize his insult, no matter how badly he might have wished to.

Naiche really had thought this guy wanted as little to do with him as possible so this was quite the surprise. Naiche was always in a good mood after a fight so he hadn’t given a damn what Az thought last time as long as part of the thought was a fight again was future and that he didn’t totally hate Naiche’s guts. Maybe he had done better than expected at getting Az to at least consider accepting him? The armor and the pets this time? Naiche hadn’t even won when he was wearing nothing prior. That would make the win that much better! Lowering one of his shoulders Naiche made it easier for Pan to climb down. If only there was a tree for them to use the attack Pan had been working to learn, oh well. Another wolf also? Now Naiche opened his mouth with a giant grin and bright eyes. This was gonna be fun! “Sounds fun,” said whole heartedly. Naiche replied merrily as his mind ran off a list of wolves in his mind. A small smirk crossed his features when he came to a decision. Naiche let out his own howl, calling for Bas, a challenge to a fight issued. Asla’s pet could learn the details when he arrived. He imagined the wolf would then have to ask Asla, would she let him come play? Naiche looked to Pan, “You do what we talked about once, and try not to get yourself killed.” Naiche was teasing, though it was with a serious tone. So long as Pan curled up when teeth were pointed at him then nothing would get through, and some might regret biting those scales if they got lucky. Pan for his part looked from Naiche to the opponents, sitting down and calmly waiting. Speech:"Live to fight" Think
