Broken, Bruised, Not At All Amused
Aslatiel insisted on staying in her own den. She insisted that Bas tend to her. She didn't want to be babied. She didn't want fake smiles and well wishes. If you weren't going to treat her normally, it would be better if you didn't even bother. With the mood that she was in, she'd let you know just what was on her mind too.
Today, same as every day since she'd been injured, the teal flecked girl lay on a pile of plush pillows and furs. It hurt to move her tail or it would have been thumping the ground like an irritated cat. She was already tired of being cooped up. How long did a broken bone take to heal? With a grumble, Asla stared at the mouth of the den. Sunlight filtered in and the birds were happily chirping away. Disgusting.

Truth be told Sedna probably could have let the black fox go, but between the late night fight, the cougar and her lack of sleep, well, sometimes a girl had to let loose a little. The white tipped tail was an entrancing lure, the chase had got her blood pumping and the crunch of breaking neck bones had been satisfying. It’s coat was far too nice to risk her ripping holes in it trying to skin it, and she wanted to give poor Magnus a break, had to leave a bit of mystery, or something... she supposed her mother might say. Urgh she was bad at this. Rumour had it though, that there might be someone else might be looking for a distraction.
A low muffled chuff left her chest outside the princess’s den, before she unceremoniously dropped the fox and peered into the den. She knew Aslatiel wouldn’t be able to move too far, but she also didn’t want this to seem like a pity visit. "Hey, Aslatiel, reckon yer could gimme a hand skinnin’ this fox? It’s got a real nice pelt and I don’ wanna rip it up."
"speech".
She hadn't been there to protect her, Kaizer hadn't even heard what happened and she was mad at herself. Aslatiel was her friend and who was she if not a protector! Well Aslatiel could for the most part take care of herself so Kaizer figured the girl wouldn't appreciate it if she worried over it. When she approached the den another was already there dropping a piece of prey in front of her. "Aslatiel." Kaizer's tail wagged she was happy to see her, not happy to see the splint though. "That must be the most uncomfortable thing." she noted standing next to Sedna. She turned to the wolf then.
"Sorry to intrude, my name's Kaizer it's nice to meet you." Kaizer took a seat, far enough away so she wasn't cramping the either of them. "Any idea how long that leg will take to heal?" it itched her to ask what happened but she refrained. Kaizer needed to train she felt a difficult pang of anger inside of her at the moment. Her ears twitched to listen. |
Kaizer arrived next, dipping into the den. Her comment made the injured wolf snort. "Very uncomfortable." After Kaizer introduced herself to Sedna, the older girl asked about her healing time. "My aunt said that it could take me about a month until I'm able to walk. Longer until I'm able to run. I might always have a limp." Asla forced a smile but couldn't make herself say anything else. She didn't like thinking about the long road ahead. It was depressing.

The Archer’s wry grin would be hidden from the younger wolf as she moved to fetch the oiled skin Asla had requested. That thing on her leg looked like a real pain in the ass (probably literally really), and if nothing else at least skinning the fox might give her some sort of distraction. The skin was easily picked out by scent alone, it wasn’t unpleasant, exactly, just, well, oily.
Sedna moved to roll it out in front of Asla and gave the other wolf a smile, quickly adding her own name, "Sedna," to the mix by way of introduction. It was a relief that she wasn’t the only one checking in on the princess, and it made her happy to know others worried about her too, without being pitying or coddling about it (not that she thought the young Fatalis would tolerate such anyway). An ear turned to take in the girl’s aunts assessment and she nodded along, up until the last, "Yer might recover fully too, so mind yer aunt an’ don’ push it too early or yer’ll be carryin’ it through every stiff breeze an’ every comin’ storm." She warned with half a grin, to show that her doom and gloom was at least half a tease, "Plenty ter keep yer busy without havin’ ter chase yer down, this fox won’t skin itself, and I’ll jus’ fill it with holes if I try," Her goading was meant in good humour, a smirk and a chuckle on the edge of her exhale. Might as well make the most of it while the other girl wasn’t in a position to kick her ass for smart talk.

Aslatiel didn't seem to be too happy. Well if Kaizer had been cooped up like this she wouldn't be very happy either. Sedna was a bit strange, Kaizer watched the female with interest. She must have been more capable of talking with her body language. Her speech was even broken in ways. Kaizer looked to the fox and smiled, "Sedna is right, doing things to keep your mind sharp will help and then you can concentrate on your body. She believed that Aslatiel would have a speedy recovery. The princess was strong not to mention she wouldn't take this lying down. Their healers probably had the equipment they needed. "If you need anything just let me know." Kaizer added. Not sure how long she should stay. After all she had things to do and it was important that she stayed sharp. What sort of Armada member would she be if she didn't try to keep her skills up to date. Not that she had any amazing skills just yet anyway.
